A new home is an exciting time, but the lawn is something that is often overlooked during the construction process. The land is usually rough graded but will still often have ruts, weeds, low areas and all sorts of imperfections that can be difficult for anyone trying to establish a new lawn. In this video Aaron show just how capable the Ventrac 4520 is with its fleet of lawn installation attachments and how you can take a rough construction grade to a perfect final grade with seed.
The bucket is used to move dirt as well as debris off the property. The speed of the tractor as well as the maneuverability that you only get with the FlexFrame make using the bucket a dream especially in the tight corners of the property.
The Power Rake is used to achieve the final contouring of the ground. This step is critical in making sure that the yard will be enjoyable for the homeowner for years to come. Once the yard has been leveled, the landscape rake is used in removing all of the leftover rocks, weeds and general debris turned up by the power rake. Once the yard is nice and smooth it is time for the soil cultivator.
The Cultivator turns up the soil, buries the rocks and leaves a perfect seed bed. This is designed to improve germination rates which will yield a faster more established lawn. The final step is using the primary seeder which is designed to match the soil cultivator. The primary seeder plants grass seed directly into bare soil with a consistent and accurate drop rate for perfect seed placement. With precise application adjustment and a removable calibration tray, easy adjustment for different grass seed types is possible.
As always, the goal is to reduce the amount of hand labor to close to zero because hand labor takes time, and time is money in every contractor’s world. We are giving these homeowners the best possible results by letting the equipment to do all the work.

Nice work Arron, can you do a followup post when the lawn is green?
After my testing earlier this week with the Soil Cultivator, I found that going to the deepest setting provided the most topsoil BUT I found left a fair amount of low spots and some uneven terrain that are best dealt with using the Power Rake for the smoothest most even surface possible. My customers hire me because I'm able to leave a surface so smooth, you don't want to walk on it when it's finished. I haven't yet had the opportunity to test the Primary Seeder to see if this would flatten any irregularities left behind by the Cultivator but the design looks really good. I would love to test the attachments together on the same job
How much seat time did you end up with on the cultivator?
@@CopperCreekCuts A few hours. Like I said in my video, I'm sure there is a lot more to learn but after looking it over I understand how it works. It's just a matter of fine tuning some adjustments I think but still need the Power Rake
@@CopperCreekCutsdo you do lawn installs? I’ve never seen you do them on your channel.
Still have to get ass off machine once and while and do some hand work...Been doing sod-seeding for 35 years...A machine can only do so much...
@@toddmatson4179 but the more it can do, the better! :)
This house style is so common the past couple years. I’ve seen them all over Medina, Wayne, Summit, and Stark counties. Love listening to Aaron share everything about the work and the Ventrac.
Amazing machines, and really good attachments
Still to this day the ventrac is my dream machine 😍
Both of these new attachments are great. I cant wait to see them first hand at a dealer.
Thank you for showing this it's going to be easier for me to get what I need when I buy one
Are there any questions I can help you with? If you would like to have a conversation about our equipment feel free to give me a call at (330) 683-0075 and ask for Isaac Ramseyer
Nice setup for lawn area for seed, just change the game!
AWESOME!!!
Man, I love these ventracs and the attachments, I don’t need one to for my 2 acres but boy do I want to figure out a way to get one!
Man i wish i could afford to buy my dad one of these!!
When ur putting down the sees you could have a chain grass harrow on the 3 point
Is it possible to pull the cultivator using the 3-n-1 adapter with the 3 point hitch?
Hello Aaron. I have about 2000 sq.ft. to install a new lawn exactly the way you did it in this video. I'm in Cleveland, OH. Who should I call that has all of those attachments?
Thanks,
Terry McNeil
Is the cultivator a tiller with a grate press?
what is the song @ 8:46 ?
can the soil cultivator also work on the back of the machine and use the power rake on the front
or just use the cultivator on the back
w cameraman
Does the music in your video attract customers?
Would it be reasonable to run the primary seeder on the rear of the tractor to avoid the tire marks?
No pto
That or, the roller attachment in tandem.
@@chuckbenzing134 roller attachment would be the only option.
im not jealous ! ur jealous!
👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So this or a skid loader?
I wonder how the soil cultivator would work sprigging…
Not real familiar with the process of sprigging but the cultivator does a good job burying debris and leaving a finished top soil for new seed to be planted.
@@ventrac Sounds like a place for research. I know a guy. Dr Joey Young, Texas Tech University, Plant and Soil Science, Turfgrass Science….
Dear god, the dust.
I hate using the 3 point power rake, god forbid I had to drive into the dust.
Where's the snowblower
It’s time you make i vibratory plow
How much it's cost?
Hello! Give me a call at (330) 683-0075 ext. 3246 and lets discuss your options and see if we can get some information sent to you!
@@ventrac In other words its costs way more than it should so please call so we can bs you into buying one. FFS give us a real answer and stop with the act.
Except you’re not supposed to use material with organics in it for fill.
You didn't show scraping of high spots and filling in low spots. All you did was go over perfectly flat ground which is never the case. Now lets see what this thing can do in a huge open area with many high and low area's to level out? None of those attachments would work for that.
Only 50k for this setup lol 😂
A lot of noise!
Way overpriced specialized equipment that only works on their machine. The only thing I can see the Ventrac does well is mow on a side hill and that's about it. Get a bobcat or tractor for all the other tasks and you'll be way ahead.
25k in attachments to install a yard 😂😂
