Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

Bro imagine thinking the only way to have fun in Battlefield is if you're on a team with all of the good players, and the moment a pro joins the other team it must no longer be fun and that player deserves to be banned for "farming." I never imagined people could get punished for being the best at a game. What a bunch of twelve-year-olds.

@@badgermcbadger1968 that's when you work with the so-called "good players" on your team to take him down. Regardless of how OP the attack heli/planes are in BF4, working together with a combo of anti-air missiles, TOW's, and stealth jets actually makes quick work of them.
The good old days farming XP on air superiority during double XP weekends combined with the 200% XP boost. Stashed up like 100k+ xp in like 15 minutes xD each game.
It'd definitely be the fastest way to LVL 140 that's for sure

It'll be the chase camera to go 3rd person and then free look key to look around while first person/ behind you 3rd person.

I don't really have a tutorial of when to do what. It's just a practice thing you just gotta get a feel for how to use the third person and rearcam to keep the enemy in sight

@@SilkOCE yeah, I guess it's just the state of the game. They hold all the power and feel happy with themselves when they kick anyone who kills them more than twice
So I will say (as a new player to BF4 and doesn't know how to fly well) that a couple of days ago I joined an air sup. server that was made for new players. The description of the server even said that it's meant for new players to learn. We had a few people pop in who were very good and were clearly farming. They were banned from the server, which I think is the right call because if they are just mowing down all the new players who don't know how to dog fight, then those new players can't practice which defeats the point of the server.

brings me the feels of me playing 24/7 locker maps, i wasnt the best shooter in up front fights, cause you would usually fight a swarm, but if you ever got a nice flank off on the enemy, 13-15 kill streaks, tunnel vision was serious on that map.
At 3:30 even the game knew that muh boy Silky-G was just too smooth, baby! Hot damn 34-3 against a stacked lobby. GG!

You can report the server but nothing happens
Only option is to message the actual server owner and ask him to be unbanned. It’s up to them, if they’re not toxic they’ll unban you if they’re toxic you’ll stay banned forever.
Aint that hilarious? Specially when 2 admin messages showed up. One giving him a 50 kill limit….then the other saying the server was shutting down on the 9th. Lmao

I played air superiority the other day, I am so bad in jets but I played a couple rounds on this and I was getting top 3 on the leader board, it’s honestly such a fun mode once you get used to the jets

I spent around 6 years flying on a PS4 controller. Just switched to trying to fly with keyboard and mouse. It feels way harder to learn than the controller.
I feel ya I'v been banned a couple of time for "hacking" but I jus really love my IFV.

Few days ago i played BF3 on metro, the rules were "no AEK, M5K, MP7, P90" and stuff. (Admin was literally named "READ_MY_RULES") I thought well the AS Val isn't on the list. So i played a bit, killed the admin a few times, he never killed me ofc. Got banned for like 3 days XD badmins are annoying but fun.
Btw i added the server to my favorites so i can piss off the badmin now that the ban is over.
Battlefield is the only game that, I don’t mind getting crapped on by pros or skilled veterans, how they fight in the game Just amazes me in a way since i am quits garbo at this game

Ive noticed that when I roll in third person, my camera also rolls to keep the jet straight, which would then put the ground on my right or above me etc. But when you roll, your camera stays stable to keep the ground at the bottom and sky at the top. What setting do you have which is different to mine? Love your content BTW!

"Air superiority is pretty much an aim trainer". Finally... found the words that perfectly express why I, otherwise a flight sim enthusiast, wouldn't be caught dead in the cockpit of one of these things in any iteration of BF I have ever played.

How do you maintain the aim when chasing planes Silk? When I fly I have pitch up on a mouse side button for fast turns but when chasing someone I need to use the mouse for control and often run out of mouse pad area. When I have move the mouse I lose track of the aim so my question to you is this; how do you maintain control during longer turns?

I was recently kicked twice an then banned from a server for killing too many with an LAV. The Admin kept trying to take me out the first time and I killed him 6 times of the 22 kills I had before he started kicking me.
I feel like Air Superiority would work better as a Team Deathmatch. Or just king of the hill but the area to control is like 5x bigger than those points. It's annoying trying to cap those balloons cause you're just looping. If the area was huge it'll be more about who's truly in control of the area. Instead of a slow capture as soon as one team wins the tug of war in the area they control it.
I hope Portal is good enough for me to improve on the Air superiority mode lol

I was playing paracel and was getting swarmed by both enemy jets in the Attack Jet. I pulled them into base AA, both of them visually spotted, and it didn’t fire. I held them over it for an excess of 40 seconds and the AA didn’t fire once. Is the base AA normally this laughably ineffective or am I just unlucky?
I know this comment is 4 months old, but you were unlucky. When using base AA fly the enemies directly into it. As in fly over the base AA and give it plenty of opportunity to hit.

Kinda wish dice decided on thier control scheme, either casual or more realistic. The option is good but the realistic control scheme puts you at a disadvantage against the casual control scheme.

Battlefield admins are infamous for banning for no real good reason, I joined a Brazilian server once and saw the admins were dominating the entire server , I killed one a single time that was in an apc with a javelin and got insta banned for "cheating" because he didn't know how to use his anti rocket stuff to stop my shots and couldn't kill me since I have common battle sense as a foot soldier 😂
