I realized, on Playstation 3 there were not so much jet pros in matches. On PS 4 they don't give you the chance to unlock the JDAM. I am still trying, sometimes i am lucky when i have good jet players in my team.
I would like to add something important. So I'm a somewhat decent attack helicopter pilot and ifv driver. If you want to strafe an attack heli, you should do so with a good hight advantage and in as steep an angle as possible. Competent crews will just shred you in less than 3 seconds if you dont. The jets can ascend to a higher altitude than the helicopters, so use that advantage an try keeping to an angle above 60 degrees. This way, the helicopter has way less time use its weapons (be aware if tvs and tows anywhay), looses a lot of altitude and risks crashing into the ground. And second, if there is a good enemy ifv, you should make your attacks on ground targets in very steep angles as well and try to pull up relatively early. Otherwise you just invite the to add you tho their next tow montage.

I love flying the jets and hate dog fighting.. If its clear the enemy pilot is struggling I usually let him fly around and see the sights. It keeps the good pilots on the ground ;-)
*Semi-Pro Semi-Nerd tip* :Most of the maps i fly jets and almost every time there are this cowboys, or psychological cops who stare my jet and say "aaaalright it's time to teach this fly some manners." They hop in to sj, and chase me. Some are better than me some arent. But the catch is, I got a chronometer on my desk and whenever i kill sj, i start it. At 80 secs, beeper goes off and tells me 10 sec to cowboy in sj spawning. I fly high towards sun and just circle there while he is circling at his base, tying to figure out where the hell am i. Most of the time he gets bored and go after a heli, allowing me to feast on his sorry ass :)

As good as this jet guide is, I think that flares are far more relaible than ECM when it comes to the AJ. For my countermeasures I want something that works 100% of the time against any missile, and flares do that way better than ECM, which has 50% success rate for me. Also flares have a way shorter cooldown than ECM, which means you can play more agressive and kill more stuff Love your vids Ghost
There's pros and cons on both sides. Flares cooldown quicker but they also last a shorter amount of time, i.e., you could strafe in the AJ say on some infy, get locked on as you're pitching down, then as soon as your nose pitches up the flares have gone and you're left vulnerable. ECM is the safer option all around IMO because you can go off radar and confuse enemies like the MAA. Yes you can still get hit, but did you know the ECM is still doing its job, the stinger or igla just explodes near you but you still receive the same amount of damage. There are ways to dodge the explosion if you rear cam as most of the time you can see how close the missile is. Hope this helps ;D
Soflam locks ignore flares, travel over terrain once fired, and instant kill you. Passive radar missiles accelerate so quickly that once your opponent re-locks the flares can fail. You can dodge PLD locks with with Ecm and pop it in advance to render passive radar next to useless against you. You don’t Ecm and fly away, you Ecm and press your attack. Once it wears off you should have a pre-planned exit route so you can’t get locked on again during cool down
Flares aren't a bad choice by any means and if you want to go with them, by all means do so. But for me, being able to use ECM pre-emptively against a stealth jet with passives coming at me headon, or an AA with actives is just too valuable to pass up.
flares work before and after the missile has been fired, and reloads faster. but it's also leaving a trail behind you so it doesnt work well against missiles or locks from the front. acm also makes you disappear from minimap as stated, and pretty much works 360 degrees.
note that on PS theres a stationery AA that at C, where it lands, will permanently attack the team that didnt have the base captured during the remaining time. Capture C and youll have it for your team for the rest of the match.
Man it's a pity you did not show us how to control speed properly when in an attack jet because they function differently from the stealth jets. I mean when I go to the test range and start doing vertical loops, I hit W when going up and my speed still falls below 300 km whilst in a stealth jet afterburners and throttle up work just fine. That's a huge difference and I can't figure out how to compensate that gravity when in an attack jet
You can't really perfectly maintain 313 in the AJ. You will fall a little below 313 if you aren't already going faster than 313 when you go down your loop in order to build momentum, so either way you're losing that magical speed. It's not about perfection though it's just about getting as close to it as possible.
Hardest part in the jet for me on base PS4 console isn't so much flying. But the poor textures and texture pop in. Makes it so difficult to actually see enemies too

I'm an Allrounder, i am annoying in Jets, tanks, boats, choppers and I fantwry, but I only hardcore excel in tanks and Infantery, at the other things I'm good too, chopper even a bit more advanced but that's it
So, after watching this vid, and about a day practicing, i've now gone from going 3-15 and losing pretty much every dog-fight, to now going 21-3, and winning a majority of my dog-fights (and being able to stalemate veteran pilots with an endless loop). So, thanks!!

i cant see any targets on the ground because of the draw distance but in your gameplay everything is super clear, is there a way to change it or is there a setting im missing?
Hard, hard disagree on the belt feeder upgrade for the attack jet. With belt feeder you can lay on the trigger forever and it's just great. Stealth coating is overrated. Same with the little bird and its miniguns
I play on console and its so hard to control I got 1 SINGLE kill with stealth jet today and i was the happiest player ever because i struggle just to survive with jet

Dude, five years since I played bf4 for first time and just finally found a good tutorial about jets, thanks for all the info. Just I have a question, how do you make that the third person cam keeps semi static when you are flying in circles? When I do that my camera and my jet moves at the same time and is hard to me recognize what kind of movement I'm doing. (I'm not sure if I explained well the question, my writing skills in English are too basic haha)
I suppose because S and W are already bound to speed up/down so it just seems more normal to select something that isn't already in use (spacebar is 'fire' by default but most people just click).
I'd say i'm pretty decent in bfv, 260hrs as a pilot alone but bf4 piloting is a whole other thing oh my, feels like i'm learning all over again probably too late at this point, it's impossible to find a lobby without a lv 140 sweat who won't come at you as soon as you spawn :|
but I feel the same towards new pilot in bfv, I try not to be too hard on them since I know what it's like on the other hand, bf4 pilots don't give you a chance at all, very sad
I have a question. I came to BF4 on PC, and every single match there are jets, the pilots are averaging 40-60 kills a match. That being said, there is absolutely no way for a noob to learn. My longest jet run was 18 seconds before I was shot down. I have absolutely no idea how one is supposed to play jets when the enemy jets are hovering over your own spawn all the time, all match, every match. Suggestions? The server does not matter, every server I have tried has been a minimum of 30 kill jet guys. Apparently all these jet guys are hardcore, I would love to even get a hitmarker on anything before being shot down
Gravity. When you're going upwards, you will be losing your speed, so you need to counteract that by tapping W to maintain your speed, and then when you're at the turning point at top coming downwards, the gravity itself will accelerate you which will give you more speed which you will need to counteract by tapping S. So tap W when pointing up, tap S when going down.

My problem now is i do a strafe run on a tank and suddenly a missle hits me and i'm immobilised and i slam in to the ground. And i use stealth coating and ecm jammer.
Why would you fly without a wingman if you have the option not to? Any Stealth jet with a rudimentary understanding of jets can beat a competitive pilot stealth vs attack. It’s not a matter of skill, it’s just cheap. The reason there aren’t strike fighters like in BF3 is so that average players have an out against good pilots

i started learning late aswell. try to find air superiority server and learn there. it helped me a ton

1:14 pitch up if you are using inverted, pitch down if you use normal settings

Try disabling depth of field
I think mesh quality affects draw distance, I believe it should be set to ultra

Dude, five years since I played bf4 for first time and just finally found a good tutorial about jets, thanks for all the info.
Just I have a question, how do you make that the third person cam keeps semi static when you are flying in circles? When I do that my camera and my jet moves at the same time and is hard to me recognize what kind of movement I'm doing. (I'm not sure if I explained well the question, my writing skills in English are too basic haha)

I play ace combat game for a year now and this version gives me nightmares, not just the jets are weaks but the controls are janky
I practice so much but I just can't get good as a pilot.
Why always the "pitch up to space bar"? For me it's far more intuitive to have pitch up/down bound to S and W
I suppose because S and W are already bound to speed up/down so it just seems more normal to select something that isn't already in use (spacebar is 'fire' by default but most people just click).
I've always just used a controller for jets. Only jets though. Helis I use MK. Just transferred over from BF3 on PS3 into BF3 on PC and then 4 on PC

I'd say i'm pretty decent in bfv, 260hrs as a pilot alone
but bf4 piloting is a whole other thing oh my, feels like i'm learning all over again
probably too late at this point, it's impossible to find a lobby without a lv 140 sweat who won't come at you as soon as you spawn :|
but I feel the same towards new pilot in bfv, I try not to be too hard on them since I know what it's like
on the other hand, bf4 pilots don't give you a chance at all, very sad
I have a question. I came to BF4 on PC, and every single match there are jets, the pilots are averaging 40-60 kills a match. That being said, there is absolutely no way for a noob to learn. My longest jet run was 18 seconds before I was shot down. I have absolutely no idea how one is supposed to play jets when the enemy jets are hovering over your own spawn all the time, all match, every match. Suggestions? The server does not matter, every server I have tried has been a minimum of 30 kill jet guys. Apparently all these jet guys are hardcore, I would love to even get a hitmarker on anything before being shot down

I just remapped my controller controlls like ace combat and have been doing a lot better

2:37 You say the jet should accelerate all by itself, yet you keep tapping W in a vertical loop at 2:52. Should you tap W or not?
Yeah tapping or holding works it depends all in the flight on what you feel
Gravity. When you're going upwards, you will be losing your speed, so you need to counteract that by tapping W to maintain your speed, and then when you're at the turning point at top coming downwards, the gravity itself will accelerate you which will give you more speed which you will need to counteract by tapping S. So tap W when pointing up, tap S when going down.

What do you think a bout simply using a pad for jets ? I master the flight with k&m for the hellis but struggl as f...with the jet. Even after hours and hours of practicing (sounds like my brain isn't wired to get it XD)
A lot of people do just fine with a pad on console, so if you feel you’r be better with that, then why not?
Trying to get into flying in this game is impossible when everyone who flies is a no life tryhard, the skill curve for the jets it fucking ridiculous

My problem now is i do a strafe run on a tank and suddenly a missle hits me and i'm immobilised and i slam in to the ground. And i use stealth coating and ecm jammer.

I want to see gameplay where you don’t have a wingman to take out stealth jets. Makes all the difference
Why would you fly without a wingman if you have the option not to? Any Stealth jet with a rudimentary understanding of jets can beat a competitive pilot stealth vs attack. It’s not a matter of skill, it’s just cheap.
The reason there aren’t strike fighters like in BF3 is so that average players have an out against good pilots
@@buttered__toast_2899 I’m saying every gameplay we see this flawless worry free game where he just focusing on killing with no threat of someone getting on his 6. I wanna see gameplay where he does have to focus on potential threats and dogfights being at a disadvantage in between while trying to take out infantry etc

how to fly jets:
-newbie: crash into the nearest building/mountain
-casual: takes down a few stuff
-good pilot: may pull out a rendezook in your face
-troll: will deliberately use the plane as ammo
