- Roll The Dice is the fifth episode of The Cuphead Show and deals with King Dice trying to trick Cuphead into going through a door that will take his soul. Imitation Krabs is an early episode of SpongeBob and deals with Plankton trying to trick SpongeBob into giving him the formula via a robotic Krabs disguise. Imitation Krabs is really good. You can’t beat the classics.
Roll the Dice, but you're making me question the cannibal logic in this show, and it's hurting my brain. XP
I also love how the songs in Name That Tune are real.
As bratty as Cuphead is, I respect him for being a good sport during the game. Acknowledging that he didn't know things, and taking the loss like a champ without complaining. Also, I think it takes skill to lose a rigged game in your favor. Another thing is that I find it funny that Mr. Krabs getting blasted with tarter sauce is due to Spongebob being so loyal that he knows more about Mr. Krabs than Mr. Krabs himself.
As much as I love Cuphead and the episode Roll The Dice, I love Imitation Krabs better. Nothing against Roll The Dice it's just that there are lots of memorable moments that is comedy gold and sticks out the meatball part makes me laugh. and the opening of the episode where Plankton give a fake check to Spongebob in order to tell him the secret formula.

Wayne Brady really sells King Dice. He puts so much personality into him and makes him seem classy yet devious.

1:43 The worker who pushes the dice on stage is one of the cards that King Dice uses during his boss fight in the game. I never noticed that before!
I love both of them but i give roll the dice, for simply of how well the characters are written in the show/episode, and having great gags.
But Imitation Krabs was way more funnier and Spongebob and Krabs is what makes this episode fantastic to me

Plucky newcomer (from the "1930's") Cuphead versus long-time comedic veteran of the 2000's Spongebob.
The Cuphead Show, while not as "edgy" as the vintage cartoons it's paying homage to (or as crush-your-bones difficult as the original game) is still a fun time with expressive and smooth rigged animation and enjoyable characterisation.
However, classic-era Spongebob is a pretty tough comedic act to follow and just has SO MANY quotable jokes and moments that became the basis of many memes on today's pop culture climate.

Honestly... My biggest criticism of Cuphead is that I WISH they would allow these musical numbers to go on for longer.
The musical numbers are always great but feel like they are cut short and should be longer, like in a classic Disney movie.
The best one was the episode in the ghost yard exactly because it was allowed to run for longer, but still not long enough if you ask me.
So yeah, I wish they would just go for it and have a full blown out musical number made like a music video, exactly like classic Disney movies.

Cuphead is incredible
The Cuphead episode reminds me a lot of The Prisoner from Wander Over Yonder. The henchman makes the mistake of calling the master about the capture too early, just as the naive protagonist slips through their fingers.
That's one of my favorite episodes, I love that show!

It's honestly unfair to decide which episode is better. Roll The Dice had better characters, and Impostor- I mean Imitation Krabs had better humor.

I like to think that the Cuphead game is a sequel to the show, and King Dice pitched the casino plan to the Devil. I doubt we'll get this animated since it's in game form already though

Not sure if you ever watch South Park, but another hilarious episode that plays with this trope (naive character unknowingly torments the antagonist with their antics) is Season 8’s “AWESOM-O.”
I know that one. Caught it during a little morning watch. Wasn't able to finish it, tho.
While Cuphead is bratty and annoying at times, he doesn't purposely go out of his way to torture his friends like SpongeBob would for the sake of comedy.
True like the April fools episode where he tortured squidward just because it’s April fools day and when squidward get revenge SpongeBob acts like the victim even tho he’s been pulling pranks on squidward all day
@@Cherry_BFDI That’s completely wrong though. SpongeBob only pulled like 1 or 2 pranks on Squidward before he promised to not prank HIM for the rest of the day. And Squidward kept getting butthurt that SpongeBob kept pranking in general, even if it wasn’t him, so that makes what Squidward did more egregious

@@Cherry_BFDI A bit of a flaw with your statement, SpongeBob's pranks was more or less harmless while Squidward's prank was taken too far, literally dragging SpongeBob throughout the entire restaurant to smash into a bunch of objects and walls.

Plus in April fools, spongebob with the help of mister krabs makes squidward come to work because someone famous wanted to meet squidward cuz of his “music talent?” and when squidward found out it was fake they probably hurt him mentally. Squidward has been tortured by spongebob on April fools it’s just 10x worst then on the REGULAR. Squidward goes through spongebob’s bullsh*t EVERYDAY!

Y'know, if you think about it,, a coin-activated self destruct is kind of genius given the circumstance.
His arch nemesis is a greedy cheapskate who would never part with his money. Not even a single penny (As seen when he docks that one penny from Spongebob's paycheck).
Even if Krabs knew about it, he would never sacrifice a penny to blow up Plankton's robot and beat him. It'd be the one thing he'd be unwilling to do to win.
Roll that dice because I love king dice and the devils dynamic in this episode it’s a shame they didn’t use him more I still like Imitation krabs but it has been done better in other SpongeBob episodes

It's a pretty entertaining versus comparison, especially the Among Us humor for the Imitation Krabs segment. Now while I haven't seen the CupHead show, I'm gonna say that Imitation Krabs is a solid enough episode.

Even though I just saw cuphead show recently and havent seen old spongebob in a while, i think Roll the dice was better. The gags in Imitation Krabs are memorable and tarter sauce was definitly funny, i think Roll the Dice was done better and showed a more itneresting concept of someone trying to get something from someone to satisfy a certain need, where it was done in public.

This is my first video of yours I've watched I think, and I really found myself super fascinated and you kept me watching the whole way through.

Sound like a dumb request, but maaaaaaybe do a Cuphead video on the phone guy? He seems to be quite important to the Cuphead show, since so far with his existence, he only ever showed us to the Audience how Soul Ball and Roll the Dice worked. Maybe his purpose is to show us what's REALLY going on while keeping Cuphead and Mugman completely unaware of how soul-thievery contraptions actually work.

I have watched Cuphead both the first season and the second season I watched the first season a few months ago and just watched the second season yesterday. I like Cuphead but I like Spongebob better since imitation Krabs is an episode that I really love a lot.

I just watched "why the state of cartoon network should worry you" and there was a tier list of show from resent years, I feel like it would be a cool video if alpha made a Disney channel tier list, because of a all the shows Disney has put out resently, and shows that have ended and being renewed for other season. Just saying this cause its been keepin me up at night just thinking about it.
