While it's hard to say that Mizuno is underrated at this point, especially amongst the enthusiast community, it can difficult to justify paying such a huge premium for their made in Japan models, when the more popular options are so much less. But what if I told you that you didn't have to. You can get Mizuno quality for less than Nike, Adidas or Puma!
In today's video we take a closer look at the new Mizuno Morelia Neo 4 Beta Elite, the made in Vietnam version of their latest model, but instead of the $320 retail price of the Japanese made version, the Elites will only run you $200! What's the difference? Well, very little. We discuss what makes the Neo 4 Beta Elite such a unique option in the "speed" category and why nothing else even comes close!

damn.. the finishing is sheer elite. the feel and details, shows seamless beauty. it looks so so good. it just speaks for itself.
Mizunos are absolutely fantastic, and with current boot prices, I think that spending 300+ dollars is worth the investment for the best quality, instead saving some money to buy Adidas or Nike. Great video as usual, thank you for the content!
thats right
Just buy them in korea/japan then sell it for 200~240$
I live in Indonesia so Mizuno boots are actually cheaper than those of the western brands. Got the Morelia Neo III Elite on sale for $80 which is absolutely bonkers.
Should resell them internationally
MIJ tetap diatas 3 jt bang neo 3 yang ori.premium 500 rb dapat
But not made in Japan
Sell me some lol
Retail price is half price of the western brand
To date, the Mizuno Morelia Neo III is the best boot I ever worn. Looking forward trying the IV out!
Same
@@josephosei4295the mizuno Morelio neo Iv is available in AG. They worth it?
Love the colorway 🔥
Joshua! It would be nice that you can show us the inside of the boots in detail, may be with a small fiber optic camera or something like that
I was hoping for the same 😬 The interior lining has become a very important part of my decision to buy a certain pair of football boots.
what I noticed between MIJ and indonesia ones are MIJ actually last longer, especially the sole separation
Mizuno is by far the best boots I've ever owned in exactly every area that you've stated in this video. Nothing since has come close.
I would encourage anyone who has never tried Mizuno to do so.
If you ever go to Japan buy mizunos the Beta made in japan sells for $195 30,800 yen
Yo Charly, any reviews on Charly cleats? Liga MX huge brand
pirmas would be cool as well
Tf are those 😂
Josh doesn’t review Charly or Pirma cleats which is a shame.
I would love to see him review either Charly or Pirma boots!!!
Nobody cares
Great in depth review, thank you! I want to replace my Adidas Predator 19.1. Are the Morelia Neo IV Beta Elite to prefer above the Alpha Elite?
wanted to love these so bad but the heel in the right boot put so much pressure on my heel I just couldn’t make it work, such a shame. amazing boots and left foot felt perfect 😭😢
i had a pair of mizuno ignitus wave 3 a decade ago, made in vietnam, but literally stayed with me until 2020, very very durable to the point that i played on gravel pitch just to get them torn (and a new reason to buy another mizuno boot). sadly it was stolen before the pandemic.
Well… you got your reason to get a new pair 🤷🏽♂️😢
Very small detail, but I wish they kept the rectangular shape of the laceholes along with the extra lacehole from the Neo 3s
Can review the new black and gold Morelias?
I got mizuno morelia 3 elites and alpha elites and can honestly say best boots ever. But i actually love the alpha elites the best in terms of feeling and playing pergormance for me, but i hate the fact it gets scuffed and cant get other colours out of my white boots
Hi, Im between this and a pair of NB Tekela V4 low, two of my main concerns are laces/midfoot lockdown and durability on AG pitches, Ive so many studs break, and experience solepliting im tired of it. I wondered if this is as durable as de MIJ or as the old mizunos that had those round staple nails on the soleplates.
Hey i wanted your opinion on the mizuno neo between the sock variation closed all around and the ones with the toungue
I’m really curious to hear your thoughts on the Mizuno Alpha Select, Mizuno’s lowest takedown of the Alpha. I can’t find a single review of them in English online.
From what I’ve heard the takedown model from the alpha is worth it. There are very subtle differences between the takedown and top end model
jay have them, it's old video, but i still believe it's quite similar to now
Just wondering what exactly are the difference between the mizuno models?
You should start reviewing how well these FG models would do on AG turfs. Simply because I think a lot of your viewers probably play on AG turfs and you have mentioned in previous videos how important it is to wear AG pairs on AG surfaces but I can't help but think if I can get away with some FGs on AG grounds simply because of a lack of availability.
For example, these Mizunos aren't available as AGs so it begs the question for a lot of your viewers whether we can wear these on AG surfaces or not. The answer is probably no but it would be good to see that in the reviews.
Just my opinion ofc.
Thanks for the videos!
The AG question is always good to ask. Many retailers say that Mizuno Morelia, Morelia Neo and Alpha are suitable for AG. I personally agree.
But it's always good to remember that just the term "AG" is not accurate enough. Playing on new and wet AG versus
playing on old and dry AG is already very different thing.
The discussion about AG friendly studs is often about the shape, but not so much about the length of the studs. For example: Mizuno Alpha studs are not round, but they are short, which makes them feel really safe and good on most AG pitches.
My Rebula is pretty bad on AG despite conical studs. Studs are tall af
mizunos do have AG models FYI / and MD models with thick conical studs are actually ok to wear on AG as long as the stud can dig into the ground
The Morelia 2 pro does have an AG stud plate option. But Mizuno don't make AG plates any further up the range.
can you review the first takedown model of the morelia and alpha please
Hi Joshua. Is the new Puma King pro as close to the ultimate as the Future? Could you please review the Puma King Pro. I don’t think Puma makes the King Ultimate in MG.
That’s great but can you please review the pro model
I wear a 9 in the vapors and wore a 9.5 in the tiempo legend 5, 6, and 7.
I still got a 9 in the MIJ version and they fit absolutely perfectly. Going down a half size for me was impossible since I couldn’t get the boot onto my foot. Just my experience.
so you would say mercurials = mizuno when it comes to sizing?
@@mater753s I went down a size from Mercurials. My size is 43 EU (US 10) for the Mercurials. The Mizuno Alpha fit me perfectly in 42 EU (US 9,5).
I am wearing Crazyfast.1 in 42 schould i stay with 42?
Sad to see the traditional tongue go… but good to know that for $200 you can still get a fantastic pair of boots. I’ll never not get mizuno.
Mizuno still makes the Neo 4 with the traditional tongue
the tongue usually is in the non beta variant
How would you compare the soleplate/cushioning of these vs the Morelia II MIJ? Been wearing Morelia II and they feel very thin on AG surfaces, not much cushioning/support, can feel the ground really hard. Is the Neo 4 soleplate stronger or "thicker" in comarison?
Torn between these and the MIJ version. I know that the MIJ version is the best of the best but wondering if it truly is worth the extra $100.
is it worth to get the 4s rather than the 3s?
how similar shape wise are these to the copa pure?
Can you please recommend an Astro turf shoe for someone with haglund's deformity?
Why do they make the laces so damn long? Had to cut mine down on previous Morelias
I can't stop looking at those Hypervenoms 1 over your shoulder
They dont last long in AG pitch!! Please do aame shies for Ag also
Got morelia 4 beta MIJ for 200$ in jpn. Insane for the valuee
Which one is better: alpha elite or this one?
Is tts the same for boots as it is with sneakers??
What happened to the boot nerds podcast?
Joe, is the fit any different since they don’t keep them on a last as long?
Shape is pretty much identical
What’s the durability like on the elites
Jorginho would be nice if you made review for mizuno Beta 4 pros
Are these manufacturers ever going to increase production of AG variants? Whenever an AG model is released, they sell out almost instantly.
Please watch the form and the size of the studs ?
Maybe
Nice boots Zherkaa
Doesn't seem to matter if it's a $300 boot or a $100 boot, if you're playing mostly turf, slide tackling, and go year round, boots seem to last 3 months or so...soccer is an expensive sport but certainly cheaper than some.
thank you for recommending me furons v7 destroy - after sending back +/- 10 pairs they are finally something that looks and feels high quality, and not only fits my wide and tall feet but is very comfortable.
Hey, I want to buy a Mizuno but I don't know which size to buy Because I see on other pages and videos that you need to buy
half size less, please help mee. I use 9 us in Nike and Adidas
Same size should be perfect 👍
So these or the alphas ? I got medium wide feet
What do u think I should get, new balance 442 or the Nike tiempo legend 10 pro? Thank you for the advice
haven't heard too many great things abt the legends 10s, so i'd stick w nb
442s are massively underrated. Super comfy, very light. Get some kangaroo leather too. I mainly play on AG too and the conical soleplate is great for AG. Pretty easy to find pretty cheap prices for them too.
thank you@@1771soccerstar
This or the copas 2+ for the same price?
Love the Mizunos but the blisters in the back on the aquiles make me drop them in the bag and my old Nikes every game. What a shame
so how would you compare nike vs mizuno when it comes to sizing? I wear nike 11 (multiple models), but never ordered mizuno before...
Would you be reviewing the non beta variant of the morelia neo 4?
I will be, yes!
Hi Josh, I usually wear Nike Tiempo, UK 10.5. Will the same size work for these?
Yes 👍
Looking swole bro
Quick question Josh, Alpha or Neo 4 Beta? Which is better? 🙏🏻
Alpha is much snappier in the soul plate, so it’s great for speed and has a barefoot sensation. I’d class it as a pure speed boot.
Neos have fantastic kangaroo leather that feels out of this world, and are extremely light weight so it’s a mix between a traditional leather boot and a speed boot, without the aggressive soul plate.
Was looking for an elite AG version but it appears there’s none available, only a lesser model. Heard many times don’t wear FG on AG pitches.
Did you find any?
@@shamreazahmed8170 no, my friend goes to USA regularly and I’m going to ask him to pick me up a pair. They’re a bit cheaper there too. In England they aren’t even available and if they are it’s a ball ache getting them.
I'm a size 11 in Tiempos, which fit perferct, should I go true to size or go half a size done or go with a size down?
US sizing is the same 👍
Where the other colors 😢
apart from morelia II, what other mizunos are 2e wide feet compatible?
The Alpha has some decent width to it as well 👍
Hey Josh, this or the Alpha elite?
If you tend to prefer leather boots, I’d go for the Neo.
JAPAN ONLY
@soccerreviewsforyou I bought made in Japan version in size 10 uk but they r not true to size they feel like 10.5 did u have a similar problem.
always size down .5 on mizunos unless you have extra wide feet
God I love k-leather
the difference between MIV and MIJ is durability
dan jg bahan bang.saya memakai morelia neo 3 beta mij azzure blue pack.
@@taufiqhandaka9903 betul bang, saya pernah bikin video bedanya
K-leather is undefeated.
Mizuno GOAT!
Neo 3 MIJ on sale vs Neo 4 Elite?
MIJ for sure!
Any news of a Mizuno Morelia 3?
Truthfully, I don’t know what they’d change. That boot is so good and delivers in everything it’s trying to offer.
@@Soccerreviewsforyou
True I recently got my hands on a pair but it was hard even finding one in my size. They are pretty much out of stock it seems (at least here in germany).
Bought one because of your reviews. They are as amazing as you said. Altough on the elite version I had big issues with the heel at the beginning.
But thanks for the update! Keep it up 💪
In case you guys don’t know MIJs are much cheaper in Japan if you ever plan on visiting definitely pick up a pair.
I have the chrome neo 3 MIJs but if I’m ever in Japan I’ll definitely be buying a few more
That's interesting, how much cheaper in $?
@@henrybennett6432 I’m not quite sure the exact amount but I’d imagine they cost around the price of the elite model and since the US currency is much stronger than the Japanese currency you’d definitely get a great deal.
How is this for wide feet?
They work great. I have wide feet, I purchased a size 9.5 in these. One thing I will mention they are super uncomfortable upon break in. Break in lasted about 4-5 hours. Once broken in you will have enough toe width due to the K leather. The midfoot takes the longest to break in and it's where they were uncomfortable. Once broken in they are super light and comfortable. Also, you receive alot of feedback from the ball.
Made in Japan is more durable since they let them seat for days instead of just make and ship
Too bad. I live in Los Angeles.
I’ve heard that the durability of the non mij is a factor, specifically with the 3s. Has that been true for you?
I can’t say that I’ve experienced that or seen that it’s a common issue. I don’t see any reason why it would be. These are as well made as anything from the more popular boot brands.
What are THOOOOOSE
Hello

If mizuno boots is as good as you said why not so popular? You overrated, no innovations 😅
They don’t pay anybody to wear them 🤷♂️
Just bought MIZUNO MORELIA NEO III B SR4 JAPAN (P1GA229804) top quality and fit with my wide feet. Size EURO 46
Thoughts accuracy .ag soleplate. actually safe for ag?
I seriously don't know how you can still review other boots after wearing mizunos 😂
They ruined "football boots" for me 🤣 my feet just can't touch anything else.
As a football player, I'm really happy because i have a super reliable boots. But as a boot geek I'm very disappointed, because every other boots will never come close 🥲
