FINALLY. SOMEONE MADE A TF LIST !! You’re awesome Jay. Thanks a ton
A lot of Latin channels cover them all the time
That’s why I love Unisport! I’m from Singapore and this is the only channel that reviews AG and turf boots!
@@muhdfauzi7I’m also from Singapore!
You guys can also see about tf boots on “goalden boots review”
Jay, its great that you have started to review more TF shoes rather than the normal FG and AG shoes. There is huge demand in Vietnam to see more of this review from reputable CZcamsr as you. Congrats for the start of new things!
Was waiting for this episode for a reallly long time 😅 Finally! Thank you!
Great video FINALLY a tf list , here in Canada we mostly just use turf fields so this list definitely came in handy hopefully we can get a full review of those new balance furon 7+ tf please 🙏 would love to order a pair just not too sure on sizing and durability
Thanks a lot for the excellent advice about TF or turf shoes, had a bad experience using the orange puma ultras FG/AG on turf I suffered a succession of injuries from ankle to my latest hamstring injury, being an all action player defending, scoring and tackling so all the turns sprints on turf messed me up big time, I eventually got a pair of adidas predators,
only used them once as I’m recovering but that one time I had a good time doing what I enjoy skills.
Good job on the great work you are doing, with love for the channel and community keep us educated.🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
Been waiting for this, never disappoints, cheers!
Thanks for the tf list!
I had Furon v7+ pro... but I have high of arch feet, result middle of the feet starts to hurt after awhile and half time, I had to change em out.
My current go to for tf is Adidas Predator Accuracy.1, BUT I loved Adidas Predator Freak+! Laceless, but still got a nice tightness and love wearing it. Only con I had is, it broke too quickly. Less than a year, I sole was separating.
Your videos are so cool! I love the lighting, the cromatics, the transitions, keep doing what your doing!
Thanks, love to hear that! /Jay
I just bought the predator league 2g/3g thanks for make this kind of videos!!!!
I loved Nike Premier III and the new Adidas X Crazyfast Elite
I have the tiempo pro tf and they are amazing. Upper is super soft and nimble and I get incredible grip on turf. They aren’t super durable but in terms of on foot feel I don’t think they can be topped. If you are used to outdoor boots I think the low profile is only a plus
Yes! A TF list! Thank you!
All said & done, Mizuno needs to make their TF/AS models more readily available outside of Asia.
Here in Brazil we have Mizuno but their midsoles are too hard, very low cushioning
mizuno`s TF is for Futsal
@@ccczzz3555 we have the AS, which are soccer boots with turf outsole. Very poor cushioning.
@@ccczzz3555 there's Mizuno Morelia Sala TF for Turf.
I sent my Morelia Neo Elite FG boots to Lee&Yang in South Korea and they did an amazing job at replacing the sole plate with a very good TF sole. It cost around £80 including P&P. One very happy customer.
i dont know if i was the one who pushed you to make this video but good job man. really appreciate it. thanks a lot
Thn u so much for video😊
Exactly what many of us are looking for,
Nobody talks about turf shoes although they are in high demand❤
Personally they are best choice
1. They can be used on both hard natural ground and AG
2. More stability and no injuries
3. Comparatively cheap
4. U can also wear with Jeans as casual sneakers
5. They dont injure other players during game as made of rubber outsole
I recently bought the Crazy fast 3 tf and I can confirm, it could make this list. Good shoe
Thank you for this!
I love you Jay! Unisport is the best, you guys are always reviewing AG and turf boots as well. Here in Singapore 🇸🇬, we use AG and turf boots. Your videos are always helpful.
Great video mate, I was going to go for the predators because I’m a big fan but am now drawn to the Furon v7. Is the shooting on the v7 as good as on the predators?
My Adidas Mundial Team tf still going strong after 6/7 years. The tip to make the tongue stay down is to water it and put binder clips while drying 👍🏽
Thank you for this video. Especially in urban parts of Germany old AG pitches are Standard and Turf is the only reasonable way to go! ❤
Please repeat this type of video every year.
I feel like on older AG pitches these TF boots are okay when the pitch is really bone dry. As soon as the pitch is wet or even just moist, I feel like TF just doesn’t offer the grip I’m looking for, there’s this certain amount of “slipping” and they just don’t bite enough. and then I rather choose something with a bit longer studs, for example the Puma MG (or the adidas 2G/3G).
Hi Jay, it’s interesting to know about your preferences when it comes to turf boots, especially the ones that have high, thick outsoles and cusioning.
In Vietnam, turf boots are usually played in 5-a-side/futsal games so the ones that have lower profile/outsoles like the Vapor 15 Pro, Academy TF, Phantom GX2 TF or Mizuno boots are more liked because they provide mobility and flexibility during tight and quick movements like dribbling. Not to mention they are a lot lighter than Puma or Adidas boots too.
But great video nonetheless 👍
next time in Vietnam I am taking my TF for some pick up games! Seriously!
Early but the only video that I need rn
Great video and list! Does Mizuno also make a good boot for TF?
great review! and nike doessss do elite turfs but very rarely.... they dont offer any at the moment i dont think
Haven’t looked through the comments but the TT on the pumas stands for turf trainers
I play in some mizuno morelia ag boots and tend to pick fg boots with conical and small studs (copas, puma kings, predator ag, ctr ag etc), had problems with some boots that have aggressive stuff patterns and my knee joints so tend to steer clear of those
All my kids use these type of shoes on AG here in California. They have never had grip issues unless it's dumping rain... Which is rare here really. I find them safer and frankly perfect for AG.
I find them to be super comfortable and flexible due to the softer soleplate. Slip issues will be really noticeable if you are playing an early morning game and the humidity/dew point is high and the surface is moist. Once the sun dries it out they are back to perfect.
As I got older, wearing regular FG soccer cleats caused me fatigue and pain, so I started wearing AG or MG for the last three years. In terms of post-match fatigue, TFs are the best option, but they're heavy and slippery, so it's not easy to use them often. I still keep a TF as a backup for when I'm not feeling well, so these days I carry a Puma Future Ultimate MG and a Nike Phantom GX pro TF. My other TF is Desporte's TessaLight pro2, which has a superb fit and grip, but I don't use it much because it's heavy.
I am in my mid 40's and I'm not quite to this point yet, but I have been thinking about this. It would be great to have a few FG models that could prioritize underfoot comfort. I find TF shoes can do the job on some pitches but the traction isn't always there on others.
Finally! A TF video! Thank you !
I feel that Joma have really good options also. Futsal (Top Flex) versions in turf.
it is for wide feet
Very detailed descriptions of the sensations using these boots
I have the Furon v7+ TFs. Best TF boot I've worn, and I've worn some good ones (Japanese brands Desporte, Athleta, and Asics are the other best brands for TF boots, but they can be hard to get outside of Japan).
New Balance kind of came out of nowhere with their newest TF boots. They've got first tier uppers on a TF outsole, while Nike, Puma, Adidas, and even Mizuno all use takedown uppers on their modern TF boots.
Yeah I really want to try some of the TF shoes from Japan, but they're a complete myth in Europe. Hence the 'Top 5 best boots that we have on Unisport' mention in the beginning. NBs stuff is phenomenal. /Jay
Ya Jay was at #2 and I'm like no way he's gonna leave out new balance. I got the v7+ pros and have been blown away by them. Super light, super comfy, and responsive.
Yes!! Nike Phantom would be a no-brainer for me if they offered the Elite upper
Mizuno Alpha Elite AS (Artificial Surface) has the sole of a TF shoe and is very light. Supposedly has many of the same specs as the Alpha Elite FG, including the Karvo insert.. Available in the US, looks like there's a Neo IV Pro AS too. (Not sure how much cushioning that has.)
Just bought a pair of Boombah viper mid high for cutting my grass. I used to wear football cleats but they tear up the grass to much. Needed something a little less aggressive but still needed traction on slopes and hillsides. The Boombah viper turf shoes are perfect. Don’t see any videos on CZcams of them.
I wear Mizuno Morelia Neo 3s and they’re great 👏🏻I bought Morelia Alpha Elite AGs and they’re super comfortable and durable.
Is the orange color way for the NB 442 limited edition? They’re beautiful but I can’t find them online in the US
what about the adidas x series turf, what do you think about those?
In terms of quality of materials, Adidas Copa and it's not close. The only issue with it is the sole plate heel is so narrow I find myself turning my ankle way more. I switched to the new Copa pure elite and leather is definitely lower quality, but the extra stability of the wider sole plate is worth it, and I'm happy with the protection it offers, because tons of people still wear studs. Will give the NB a look when in the market again.
Got play semi on tf tonight, legend 10 all the way
Great video!
For my wide feet, Joma Top Flex TF are the perfect TF shoes.
thank you so much
Legend jay
I play 7v7 indoor about 3 times a week on a 3G AG field and my go-to AG cleats for a competitive game are the Mizuno Alpha Japan AG. For more relaxing games, I’ve only liked Vapor 15 Pro TF and Mizuno Morelia AS because of their low profile. It’s hard for me to dribble and pass/shoot with bulky and high profile shoes because the sole ends up making contact with the ball.
Thanks mate
Thank you for this video! You guys actually read my cmt.
How do the New Balance 442 V2 Pro Turf compare to the Team Turf? The teams seem to be leather, doesn't seem to have the fuel cell and the soles have a different pattern. Just wondering your thoughts on it?
good analysis and great options, but I would like to see analysis of the Mizuno Morelia line for Turf football so that you can have more options than Nike, Adidas and Puma, I think the Mizuno is find underexploited
rolled my ankle on on 3g pitch with fg boots. Learnt my lession. need some tf boots
I use TF shoes in futsal and it works very. Specially if the surface is dusty. They work even better than futsal-specific shoes
I was gonna buy turf boots and I just saw this thanks 😅
Here in Argentina people mostly buy TF boots only, thanks for this list
thanks a lot
Hey man. Do the furon turf and the fg version have the same sizing? I wear a 10 US which is half a size up for me in the fg so just wondering if I should be ordering the same size for turf model
Can you do a copa gloro review?
I have 3 out of the 5 Jay presented, the Preds, Copa Mundial and the Tiempo. They are great boots. I have love x hate relationships with Puma line of boots. However, the surprise is the NB. I would love to get one and try it. Great content as usual!
Which one is best out of the 3?
Turf season is almost over in my neck of the woods, but I will be in the market for next year. Thanks for this list. I have a feeling it will be NB for me. On the Pumas - did you find the big rubber lip around the front of the shoe to be too grippy? I felt that with my Puma 1.4 TF's and IC's and I found that hampered my touch.
I never noticed the vamp bumper to be too grippy, no - but there's definitely a bit of texture from it which I personally liked. /Jay
You need to make a futsal/indoor shoes list!
Also, can you recommend some boots for really slim feet?
Have you tried Mizunos TF ,they rock !
Thanks, Jay! What do you think about the Adidas Speed Boots TF Version (Crazyfast/Speedportal/Speedflow) ? Been using them for a while, the upper rips after half a season, but i habe really narrow feet and every other model is to wide.
I have the similar problems too and gets hectic to buy new boots every 6 months
Please give me some advice if you can
how the torsion system? didn't mentioned it but it's really important
This was what we needed
I wear TF boots on AG pitches. With the rubber bottom (cushion) it helps my day to day recovery as an older player. I'll admit the grip isn't the best but staying pain-free is crucial for me.
witch one?
Crazyfast .1 tf is a very good boot. I use it and it is very light and the upper is similar to the FG model.
About time! We need to discuss turf boots: everyone I know plays six a side on astroturf, but the boot options are limited. Nike, Umbro, New Balance, Mizuno and many other manufacturers don't do sizes above 12 and the Pumas are too tight in 13. Therefore I bought three pairs of Predators to keep me going until those options come back from those suppliers. Annoying.
New Balance Fuel Cell makes sense to be bouncy. They use it in their competitive running shoes such as their New Balance SC Elite which I enjoy using!
great vid! how do you compare the vapor 15 tf pro to the gx 2 pros? I have the vapors and they are great but they are breaking apart. I dont know which on to buy
That was my experience as well - really good shoes, but I didn't really like the durability of the Mercs if I'm honest. I've gone through a couple of pairs already. /Jay
I wish the NB Tekelas also had the TF pro version!
New balance ever coming out with the Tekela pro turf? 👀
I just got the New Balance 442 v2 tf. They fit great and the leather is super soft.
Team or pro
Great video Jay. What do you think of the Mizuno Turf version?
I'll be honest mate I haven't tried them - but I really want to. They're just really hard to get your hands on in Europe. /Jay
I haven’t tried a lot of those types of shoes, but I feel they lack the rigidity of their regular grass counterparts when doing aggressive cuts, so my foot is not as well stabilized and doesn’t feel « as one » with the shoe. Am I the only one? Which are the « sturdiest » TF shoes in your opinion?
Thank youuuuu
Love turf shoes, that added bit of cushioning is sorely needed where I play.
P.S.
I doubt the 3 stripes will take kindly to the video chapters calling them the "Puma Mundial Team", though. 😁
Mizuno Sala Japan TF and Joma Top Flex TF are my favourites
where can i find these shoes?
Got the puma kings in the sale for £60. Absolute class pair of turfs
Finally !! TF SHOES ❤
i heard the mizuno alpha TF was great you guys should try to get your hands on a pair of
Yep, I’ve read a few places that it’s a good shoe as well, but can’t find it anywhere in Europe. /Jay
can you make best 5 wide feet football boots?
Jay my friend… here in Brazil, we play with turf shoes in pitchs with natural grass. Wich one of your list is the Best to play only at natural grass? Best regards my friend, waiting you come to Brazil!
Finally turf getting love again!
More Tf boot videos please. That's what we play most
As much as new balance is great the 442 has like a side heel problem after using for a bit
What do you recommend for wide foot?
Adidas copa pure 2.3 / league tf ($35) vs puma king pro tt ($30). Getting some great deals.
Which one would you pick?
Durability and comfort are priorities
I understand that the weight is not that important compares to FG boots, whereas the predator tf are much heavier than many other tf shoes…
Finally 😭❤️
Surprised to not see the Adidas X Crazyfast .1 TF, I normally will always buy Nike boots but I decided to try the X.1 TF and they remind me so much of the super thin synthetic mercurials.
Now please review balls for playing 5 vs 5 on small turf pitches, with less bounce then match balls but more then futsal balls.
What about Puma Future Ultimate TF?:)
finally we got the turf. yay
@unisport @jaymike nothing about the mizuno morelia neo IV tf???
I have the Nike Premier 3 TF and the lunarlon midsole is so confortable and stable it blew my mind and saved my knees. The NB 442 Pro TF would have a hard time against it.
what exactly do you mean by “would have a hard time against it”
Surprised not to see the Premier III tf on here. I have a pair of the 2nd generation and they’ve been some of my favorites
They're definitely a solid shout - I just had to make my mind up on the Premiers vs Kings and Mundial Teams, and I liked the latter more. But Premier IIIs are solid, especially for the price! /Jay
I wish the 442 v2 Pro was a full leather upper, just being in the forefoot is a bummer. The Furon V7+ Pro TF and Vapor 15 Pro TF are outstanding though.
Yep Vapor 15 Pro TF is great, I've just had durability issues with the few pairs I've had. /Jay
In Vietnam, we like shoes like Tiempo, Mercurial Vapor from Nike, Morelia neo 3,4, Alpha pro and elite from Mizuno because they are suitable for Vietnamese foot form.
Here is my rating:
Tiempo 10
Mzn Alpha elite
joma top flex Tf
Morelia neo 3
puma future
What about vapor 15 . Do you think vapor 15 or legend 10 is better in terms of outsole and traction and aggresion
What about the nike mercurial pro TF version 130€ ? They are amazing🔥
They’re great shoes for sure, I’ve just had a couple of pairs break on me rather quickly. Gone through a few pairs of the current generation already, so never really considered it 😬 /Jay
Good job brother, love from 🇮🇳
Thanks for the video. I play a lot of indoor as goalie and was considering buying a pair, see how it feels.
Mate, I want your opinion on a dilemma I'm facing. I can't differentiate between AG and Turglf grounds. They legit both look the same. Is it fine to use AG boots on turf? Or do I buy a TF shoe?
Need a shoe where I can use it on both the pitches and deliver the better results, on a budget crunch😅.
For comfort and safety reasons I'd take the turf shoe. In my town the situation is similar.
You could tend more towards AG if your training ground/home pitch is modern AG. Othersiss
