That's a top of the line video description 👌

My 2004 Tahoe just messed up the other day. My tahoe issue was the the brake safety coil mechanism. It was under the dash to the right of the shift cable connection. This guy's video pointed it out. I just disconnect the POS mechanism! It seems to me that it was made to fail. I put some electrical tape over the plastic plug so it will not have a short circuit...

    Thanks.

My shifter is off from the actual selected position. For instance, when the selector is in the park position, transmission is in reverse and shows in reverse on the dash. And goes past the manual position when the selector is all the way down.

There's a shift position sensor on the transmission where the linkage hooks up. Should be able to adjust it.

Is there a way to adjust the upper rod?

So I accidentally drove off in low gear instead of drive… It got into the higher RPMs then it cut off the gear and I stopped gaining speed. I’m pulled over now, and it won’t go back into park. So it also won’t turn over.

    How did it go ?

So you have to replace the rod that connects to the ball and socket correct

Yes the shift actuator rod, I have a vid on that too, it's not a great vid but I think it explains things. It's quite the undertaking.

I miss spoke, it is the parking paw actuator rod

Yes, they suck gas. Yes, they seem to be complex. But these trucks are really easy to fix. Even wiring issues and computer issues. They are amazingly easy to fix and in my mind that makes him a good vehicle. Now we just need to do something about getting a sensible energy policy in this country and everybody with a Silverado pick up is going to see that their budgets now suddenly work now that gas is under $2.00
Like it should be! Gas should be cheap, so as to impoverish, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, China, all are enemies and to enrich us. That’s what a sensible energy policy does. This bullshit of wind and solar, which is going to get people killed in a most miserable manner is anti-American. We like prosperity in this country, not hard times. Prosperity in genders, fairness, and lawfulness and righteousness and goodness and good times. without law and order we don’t even have a country to talk about.
