My 16 old daughter called me with this issue that left her stranded at archery practice. With your video, I was able to run out and fix it before she had finished practice. Thank you so much!!
I didn't take off the metal plate because I didn't have the right tool to get to the top bolts so I just stuck my hand inside and pushed the solenoid back in place and that worked for me.
Mine the spring on the shifter handle broke and wedged itself between the shift handle and the column and I'd take a screwdriver pick a couple of pieces of the spring out

If it won't go into park you can put it in neutral. Make sure your on level ground and use your emembrace brake.
That will do thanks

Absolutely nothing wrong with a zip tie and gorilla glue on an 04 Chevy Silverado.
