Hi there! I'm the creator of both the B/W Shiny Latios/Latias and the Playable Marnie mod. Happy to see some of my mods being showcased here after all this time :)
As for my experience with the Marnie mod, I've decided to not create this mod as a full model swap back then, because doing this will just disable every customization for the character, which is something that I personally always try to avoid, especially when I and many people here loves character customization since Pokémon XY.
And yes, creating custom playable characters is possible with mods, but it's kinda complicated to create them especially when the modding tools doesn't supports custom bones and custom animations yet.
How does one go about playing with modded version of the games / contributing to the space?
um, if you dont mind, i have some ideas for mods, tho im not a modder. sword and shield could have some of the reference fusions from infinite fusion, like sylveon as kyubey and growlithe, or some other dog pokemon as Pochita. :3 i also like the houndoom/celebi fusion. ^.,.,.^ i dont think its a reference to anything, i just like it. and in scarlet and violet, some of the characters can be characters from "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun" altho, Amelie would sort of have the same role as sabro when it comes to the dynamic with the main character and ide rather sullivan wasnt in place of clavell during parts where it turns out clavell is a bad guy. i also thought of sephiroth in place of a girl rival in scarlet and violet, or the teal mask dlc, tho its a very personal idea cause some people see them as yanderes, plus theres a fan comic arc where he along with incineroar and kazuya were trainers in that region. and i recently realized that the ghost of glitch city has leader in her name, so maybe cara could be a water type gym leader. oh, i just thought of another idea for scarlet and violet. birdo could be penny. XP ..oh, yeah, i also like some of the fakemon in pokemon wack, like Starvipup. i think luigi would like that fakemon, since he has a ghost dog and he tried to make duck hunt dog use a pokemon wack exclusive move that Starvipup knows. and for sun and moon, i think superboy could be Gladion, lex luthor could be Lusamine and joker could be guzma. the superboy and lex luthor mods could probably also work in pokemon violet. shenow from Pokemon Saiph could also be gladion and his missing dad could be lusamine. or cira from Pokemon Reinicio could be gladion cause her starter is a baby version of type null. eidia could probably be lusamine, tho, i dont think shes cira's mom. honestly, the only mod i can think of for lillie is aqua from "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!" cause altho shes a healer, shes seen as useless cause she cant fight. i also thought pichu could be a little more like darkness cause i hear that pokemon is an m. maybe give pichu steal typing and/or make pichu very tanky

The regieggs are amazing
It was made before the crown tundra was even released, but I found some fan-made models on DeviantArt so I decided to use those.
The shiny colors for the new regies were just a random color I personally liked though, since the official colors were still unknown at that point
Still amazing to see my mods getting some spotlight after all this time.
Not all of em were mine, but I'm meme_man_not_ava so I definitely made a fair portion of what you have showcased
~And yeah I kinda never updated that Mercedes GLA mod, which was the first time I made a successful model edit btw~
Also some of the other mods were made by friends of mine, ndDavilos is a friend of mine who I got to know after I started teaching them how to make mods

Invisible bike LMAO "I FLY~"
I was going to emulate the game, but then I realized... I can't get my favorite pokemon, quilava (I would SO have tried to learn how to mod JUST to get my own colors in), which made me drop it like a hot tamale XD Still, if I ever go back to it, I am definitely keeping this video in mind! I LOVE the black and white shiny designs, and I love any mod that lets me make things I don't like invisible XD Or at the very least, improves performance (old pc!)
Oh gosh, not to mention, I love the mod that allows you to play solo and still evolve the pokemon you find. I despise forced multiplayer. Just let me trade with an NPC in a questline or something XD

Question: But can these mods be used at the same time in a single game?
yes, most of the time. As long as there aren’t 2 different skin mods for the same pokémon or character, and more importantly: they have to have the same update/version support. If there’s one mod that includes content from a DLC it may not work with one that only has the base game or supports 1.0.0 only. most mods found online will specify what versions of the games they work for.
How do you get these mods and to make them work on a switch or do I have to use a laptop or pc
so I used an emulator for these videos. You CAN hack your switch but I just used “Yuzu” and installed the mods into it through my PC

Really? Well I guess that person forgot to do it on ALL the trees then, just look in the left corner where the Berry Tree is shown on the footage.
it was just meant to remove the “wild area “ trees, not all the trees in the game. If the creator did the same process of turning the berry tree invisible in the wild area, than there would be none throughout the entire game.
I got a jailbroken switch abs started pokemon sword with no mods and it's laggy and unplayable why can u pls help I got 1 tb sd card
I was using an emulator on my pc so I’ve never jailbroken a switch. I’m not able to help ya but maybe someone else can!
