  • I discovered a leak in my RV Portable Waste Tank near the inlet fitting. I made a call to customer service for a warranty claim (2 years warranty). The procedure is to send via e-mail 2 pictures of the area having the issue, in my case where the tank was leaking. It seems to be a known area of failure. I received a new tank in about a week. The new tank was New and Improved.
This video covers the differences/improvements between the two tanks and the repair of the old tank. The tech mentioned where my tank leaked was improved, but you can't see the modification from the outside. Not happy about having to replace this tank as it was less than a year old and only used 4 times. I must say I was very impressed with Camco and the warranty claim process and timely replacement

Just received my new 28 gallon tote tank via Walmart 2 day delivery awesome box in great condition in time for our camping trip in travel trailer Happy so far but Walmart is easy to deal with on refunds Amazon would have taken 9 days to deliver

Congrats on your new purchase! Good deal about Walmart returns. Another plus is the great warranty support from Camco, hopefully you won't need it

IMHO you're in a win, win situation. You got a good deal and if the tank fails, you hopefully can get a replacement from Camco. With the mods you mentioned doing, you should be in good shape. Best of luck!

I wish I could provide you some feedback but I haven't used the new tote yet! I agree, I hope the old issues were addressed.

I had the same issue with my 28 gallon tote. It was replaced under warranty, and now the new one is leaking in the same spot.

I'm sorry to hear that, are you going through the warranty deal again? Maybe just get your money back and go with a different manufacturer???Believe it or not, I have not had the opportunity to use my replacement Tote Tank. I was hoping the new one would be an improvement on the original, looks like it is not 😞 Now I'm thinking the fix is repairing the new tote with soldering gun heat in the seams and the Marine JB Weld epoxy as an extra layer of seal/protection as I did with the original????
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sure people will factor it in their decision making on buying this item.

nice review. my concern is that 28 gallons = 224 pounds. That's a lot of dead weight to pick up and hold as you roll it when filled. thoughts? Thanks!

Yes, it was heavier than I thought! The wheels helped, all in the name of art ;-) Good workout!
