S&B has closed and open. I'm assuming you are installing the closed version in this video? Closed being with the clear plastic cover? Which looks very nice 👌
If these things actually improved mileage, the factory would do it, and then use those great mileage numbers to sell more trucks. Having said that, I'm going to get one purely for the sound.

No because then it would take away from the gas/diesel industry and the gas/diesel industry and the car industry work together. Case in point the 6.7 powerstrock. When it came out in 2012 it had upwards of 600 hp and 1200 ftlb of torque and was somewhere between 25 mpg to 30 mpg until the gas/diesel and the EPA said no take hp away and lower the mpg and so ford did a recall and remapped the ecu to put it at 440 hp 900 ftlb of torque and about 15 mpg.
I'm installing mine tomorrow, and I have to scan a QR code for my instructions. I'm jealous. lol

On the old filter box, that little red and green gauge, lets you know when your filter is too dirty. You can only test it while the vehicle is running because it uses suction to work. Also that weird junk on those t fittings and hoses, I believe that is coolant, I’ve heard people complain those t fittings crack and leak coolant. But I do not own a ford so I can’t say from personal experience.

I have a 2017 f250, I heard installing air intake will make the truck throw codes without reprogramming it, did u reprogram?
Can we consider this the first ‘Power Mod’ for the Beast?! Maybe a delete and tune soon?

Their is a dealership in Waco that will honor the warranty on deleted trucks. As long as whatever is wrong isn’t due to the delete.

Dumbest "mod" ever. Your truck came with a CAI from the factory. What makes you think you will gain any horsepower from that puny filter? What you will gain is marginal compared to the increased oil contamination from that reusable filter. Hate to break it to you, but paper filters are better for long term engine wear. If you doubt this go check out some oil analysis's from bobistheoilguy.com. You would have been much better off learning how filters actually work, learning to read filter condition indicators, and changing your air filter before it is almost plugged off.
Do you have the part number for a replacement filter?
My air filter looked allot worse at 40k 😂 that button gauge didn’t work on mine!

Based off of what Dave said it doesn’t look like they have made one yet but I am not sure. Might check out their website and see what they offer.

Have you seen a change in fuel mileage with the S&B air intake ?
Did you notice and MPG or power gain? Lower EGTs?

Almost a year later, how are you liking it? Notice any difference good and/or bad with it?
I can hear the turbos more! Lol. Other than that performance gains are minimal at best, you won’t really notice them without a tune. I have cleaned the filter and it came out looking brand new. No negatives from me.
@@moostang09 sometimes wonder if it's more of just being able to clean the filter instead of replacing. Had one on my F150 but had a tuner for that truck. Do look nice for sure though.
I like it for the looks, sound and to clean the filter. In all honesty I never expect gains from cai’s as factory intakes have been proven to be very sufficient. That is unless you are going for big power and swapping turbos, that’s another story.

Try to be slower and smoother with your hand held camera shots...the whipping back and forth and jerking around makes some people nauseous...like me.
You already have a CAI, it’s called a charge air cooler, after all these years I’m not sure why people still fall for this stuff, nice truck btw. If it adds so much performance then why don’t sub 7 sec and lower drag cars run zero air cleaners?
Great comparison.. A 7 sec drag car to a daily driven F250. Makes sense.
moostang09 haha touched a nerve, a CAI makes a lot more sense when you have a charge air cooler, that was sarcasm, and your a racer? 35 years as a diesel mechanic and I’ve never seen CAI’s on anything other than daily driven pieces of eye candy, of all the 400hp-2500hp diesels I’ve worked on, not one had a CAI, these are a marketing scheme
