He left him paralyzed, like Guru!
He got toodle pipped.
He got BOTCHED!
Ya had ya chance and ya dun!
Lmao
Hahahaha
Imagine telling someone in like March of this year that Usman, Olives and Izzy would all lose emphatically by finish.
Been saying Islam would finish Charles since he touched the belt but didn't think Izzy and Usman would lose.
I had all 3. I had alot of doubt about the Usman one though, not so much the others.
Oliveira isn't surprising but Izzy and Usman, yessir. Technically that was a early stoppage so I don't count this.
Usman > Izzy > Charles in terms of how surprising they were
@@baconkingroblox5095 I agree I didn’t think Usman would get knocked out.
He took izzzy to deep waters like Nemo
TRUST
The footwork from Alex was crazy good, walked izzy down from the start constantly pressuring him against the cage not letting him run anywhere. Big win
Izzy took a dive rematches sells more ppv middleweight is open finally Alex is ur champion👋Ufc is wwe 70$ ppv wtf
Usmans was the only one i didnt see coming
@@kingston23 yeah he totally dived bro...

The only reason why I was upset with the stoppage was because I didn’t get to see Izzy get flatline koed 😢
Honestly tho. If it was anyone else it was a good stoppage
You wanted to see him frozen, like Elsa?
You wouldn't be upset when it's your turn
Just don't get caught on the street
You're watched
@@disswitgan2376 doh cmon mate we’re only having a joke
@@disswitgan2376 bro you're just like izzy with his meaningless threats and cringey one liners. Your boy got finished. For the second time. By the same person in all 3 fights
The PAIN in Guru's eyes talking about Izzy's legs not working while hes bound to his steel chariot.... HEARTBREAKING!!!!
I agree that Pereira wins the rematch in a more dominant fashion.
He won most of the striking exchanges (battle of leg kicks, jab exchanges etc.) and looked like a slightly better kickboxer. Plus most of Izzy's success was based on Alex's mistakes, getting complacent at the end of the first, giving up the takedown in the 3rd during the scramble, not getting up off the heel hook attempt etc.
Alex defended most of Izzy's takedowns, his grappling will only improve and he's the better striker of the two, I think he finishes Izzy within 3 in a rematch.
Aged like milk
@@Knxgjeh 3-1 can’t blame us for thinking history repeats itself
Pereira's power is the difference, cause like Guru says Pereira had the skill, reach and ability. Cause that closing sequence was high level striking.
yup theyre so evenly matched. i would give izzy the edge on speed and movement but alexs power is almost unfair lol you can do everything right all it takes is for him to clip you once. izzy even has a great chin but its not enough
He was setting it up the whole fight
They are not evenly matched lol. Izzy was never close to finishing peirera
@@RAWFestival I hate Izzy and if round one had 20 more seconds it was over stop being biased and blinded by your hatered for izzy
@@beetlejuice4923 bro its 3-0 for pereira. If they rematch izzy will be gone in 2 rounds and he will be flatlined that time. Glover told Pereira to finish him in 5th round and Pereira said lets do it. End of the story.. yesterday izzy got saved by the referee😂😂
What a moment, makes you think tho… Just how good is Gerald meerschaert
whats gm3 gotta do with this? he didnt fight any of them
@@therealshamx he finished Bruno Silva who Alex couldn't finish
@@jacobakhmerov7301 yh by submission. not ko, bruno got a solid chin. theres a difference in the styles
@@therealshamx he dropped Silva before the sub though. Pretty sure it was with a left hook too which is what made it funny. Regardless, it's just a joke. Alex still KO's gm3
Alex had broken foot in Silva fight and still had him on skates badly in 3rd
GURU and The Weasle, teaming up against Adesanya. Who would have thought?
I’m so glad your shouting out the body shots. He did get a lot of them in the fight and the commentators weren’t mentioning much about them.
Commentators are biased af lol ima start watching it in Spanish
Definitely Israel's best performance since the Gastelum fight
Costa
Because of Alex and even then he played it safe in round 3 and 4
@@mmajewey6817 those were objectively just horrible game plans and performances from Costa and Whittaker tho.
He tried to clinch like a bitch and get a decision
Loved almost every second. I noticed Izzy rarely defended the knees and body punches, Alex’s power is crippling. Adesanya’s decision to not clinch and focus on trips from the cage is one that he would regret for a while
Disagree entirely. AP had better clinch work and was so much stronger, making trips very difficult. Israel also can't wrestle.
@@10pmmemes88 I agree with this breakdown. Alex looked huge and looked like he was doing more damage in the clinch than Izzy. By the 5th, it felt like Israel lost because he ran out of ideas. As a huge fan it sucks, but I think he was beat. Alex was walking through everything he was throwing and clipping him hard.
@@10pmmemes88 Alex threw great body blows in the clinch but there were many times where he would stay against the cage and take Adesanya’s “damage”. Pereira is mad humble and deserving of this win
@@10pmmemes88 poatan was very weak in all grappling exchanges. DC even highlighted the fact that he took himself down in R3 which was a huge round for Izzy. Izzy bullied him in grappling which is hilarious
Izzy will ALWAYS struggle badly against Pereira. It's not just physical but mostly mental. Israel knows Pereira's got his number and if their 3 fights showed anything, it's that Alex can take Izzy's best shots and still keep coming but Izzy just can't. If the rematch happens, Izzy won't have the element of surprise with his wrestling and I believe Pereira will work on his cardio and beat him even more convincingly. Also, I'm not sure if Izzy's chin will really be there in the rematch because Pereira hits harder than most LHWs.
I think its more physical. He cuts 50 lbs bro. The power just different. He dense af, he’s genuinely just big. He can take the shots of light heavyweights. Anyone else is slept by the shots israel was hitting him with. Like israel legit has met his match. And not to mention this man got luck or fate on his side everytime. Saved by ref in kickboxing, saved by bell in octagon. Its just not meant for izzy to win in every way. No matter how you look at it.
And he my favorite fighter it hurt to say but its true. Its just a bad matchup for izzy. This fight will be this close every time. And the power is the eraser of all. It can make a bad night go good very fast.
logic pereira is an heavyweight he was more than 26lbs above the middleweight weight limit during the fight it was an heavyweight vs a LHW
Is everyone just gonna act like Pereira wasn't literally 2 seconds away from being flatlined KO'd himself in the 1st round?? The selective memory of people is fucking hilarious man
@@cristianjurado5796 well he was rocked with a right straight ..the next shot was after the bell..may be alex would have defended or alex would have finished him..we can't say
Well done Marc Goddard that was a great stoppage, saved Izzy from becoming a chinless shell of himself.
100%
Great job by Pereira. He got really hurt in round 1, then get taken down and forced to grapple in round 2 and then in round 5 the finish, it was just impressive. The knee that seem to hurt adesanya but the takedown saved him. He made adesanya grapple, people should realise the level he has.
I thought alex won round 2? And round 3 izzy started with the grappling? And izzy won round 3 and a closer round 4? But it was so crazy that i may not remember it properly.
Lol guru can't contain the happiness in his face 🤣
i was very impressed with izzys performance tbh, he did very well on the feet, he had success whenever he got aggressive, thats why its so confusing that hed rather sit back and leg kick, another thing about pereira that really confused me was whenever alex got izzy to the fence he wouldnt let his hands go but instead trying to smother izzy and flail his arms in the air
@UCwW5IUTD-F-YyicHu-V1_mA strange fight iq choice from him for sure
His leg was hurt
What? Did you see the fight? Many of his legs were checked, many jabs and punches were blocked
His 1,2 combo was very successful. Whittaker is going to terrorise AP with that... Especially with his rear leg follow.
@@10pmmemes88 Lol Rob can not take his single punch and will chicken dance. Do you think the best kickboxer in the world will fight the same way every time? You are the same people who thought Izzy will win despite losing twice 😂😂
Unbeliveable win from our new brazilian UFC champion🇧🇷🔥I knew he would get it done despite all he had to go through with Izzy in that fight. All respect to Izzy tho. No matter what he said this week he has been at the top for so long and both these men deserve!

I knew he gonna win to Alex is a beast man
Watching pereira hype the crowd up after getting rocked in round one was crazy to see. Bro turned on terminator mode
The tangled like Repunsel line was gold. Just right off the dome with no effort. That was hilarious man.
I needed that Pereira win after what happened to Reyes.
Actively blocking out the reyes fight from my mind. So depressing. He looked terrible too. He was getting tagged by everything. To think that he should have a belt at home and go down in the history books as the first guy to decisively beat Jones and instead he will just be the guy that ended his career on a big losing streak and took massive damage.
Spann lost to fucking WALKER. Spann is a BUM who folds reliably as soon as he's hurt, and Reyes is a super powerful counterpuncher yet couldn't get going, couldn't handle the fire, no timing no defense no strategy. I like Reyes a lot but he is DONE. 3 stoppage losses and last one wasn't even to the biggest or most accurate puncher in division. So depressing
He said in the post fight press conference that Pierera hurt his perineal nerve!
Izzy brushing off his after the bell left hook made me that much happier he got finished
Alex almost never lead with his right hand in first 3-4 rounds. If he had, I think he might have KO'd him earlier. Look at how he lands the left in their second fight. That being said, I am not surprised it took until round 5, as Izzy was just clinching up to avoid shots, and as Izzy tires it becomes harder to do.
This is exactly what I was saying. He hardly through the right hand and when he finally started to the finish came shortly after. The right hands setup the left hook he was trying to land so desperately
Bro i swear before the 5th round came when i looked Pereira’s face all i was thinking is “Leon Leon” and when that left hook landed i looked at my wife and told i her “i told you so”. It was just fantastic
Nice bait but I caught you at "my wife"

You should have screamed at her "look at me now"
Pereira is fucking terrifying man. He’s only going to get better at mma too going into their next fight seeing that he got handled pretty well for most of the grappling exchanges. He got Izzy to actually fight too which is just as impressive. Super competitive fight and can’t wait for the rematch. Next time I hope Alex leaves Izzy sleeping like Beauty
Anything can happen in a fight but I think this only gets harder for Izzy. Alex looked bad on the ground, he really felt those 8oz gloves at the end of the 1st and his cardio looked rough for one of the most experienced first time contenders ever. He also left izzy off the hook when he pressured him against the caged because he didn’t want to get tied up. I think all of those are things Alex can work on very easily
I think izzy gonna get the ko in the rematch. Or at least go hard for it and get himself kod . Gonna be fun
@@brains8305
Why rematch? So Pereira can beat him a 4th time? I think 3 wins over the same guy in two different sports is plenty enough tbh
@@honkeykong4049 I just think they will do it cause how long adesanya been champ
@@honkeykong4049 because Adesanya was clearly up 3-1 until he got caught . There would be plenty of hype for a rematch as this was the 1st official fight under the UFC banner (which is all that most casuals care about anyways)

You're a real guru man. On point predictions and analysis as always. 💯
Guru I found your channel this summer and you’ve made me nearly $300 in bets, you’re always correct when it counts!
Izzys team said it was a good stoppage.
In the moment I felt like it was early but after watching it a few times it was actually a perfect stoppage. Alex looked pretty deadly for most of this fight. End of round 1 I was thinking this thing was over but he piled up leg shots and always had izzy on his heels throwing those scary hooks ect.
Rematch is gonna be awesome
Izzy engaged throughout and should be credited for that.
Yeah cuz they actually care about him unlike most fans. 😂😂😂😂"PUT EM DOWWN!!!!"
You damn sure did call it my man lol what a night. So happy for Alex. Izzy needed to get humbled.
Had a great time watching your livestream and the UFC event
Phenomenal breakdown
Thanks guru great breakdown
Bruh.. I love you.. you always speak the truth and you dont jump on the UFC hype trains like other podcasters do.. some podcasters jump on the hype train to earn cookie points with Papa Dana and the UFC but you see right trough that.. I love you for always speaking the truth
Good breakdown. I think an important thing to note is that in both of Izzy's losses in MMA, it's when his legs are fatigued and he can't utilize his movement.
I think he'd have to check kicks more in the rematch and go heavier on the grappling to win it. There was moments where if he went for something like a double, he might've been successful, but like you said, his legs were toast.
Guru you gave a great impartial take on the fight. I agree with your opinions great job 😘
Glad you mentioned alex winning the leg kick battle, that was definitely huge
THANK YOU!!! The commitment by Pereira to winning the leg kick battle paid dividends throughout the whole fight and was clearly one of his biggest keys to success. Soooo many other people I've heard talk about the main event haven't been acknowledging just how competitive it was up until the finish and so it's refreshing to hear your take, Guru.
I could just feel that Izzy wasn’t as confident as usual going into fights. It’s like Alex had the mental edge since he beat him and ko’d him
Man I love your analysis and your accent! Sounds like Dan hardy, but biased to the good side! Cheers from Brazil!
Alex vs jiri if everything goes right would be a sick fight
If you have not watched the post fight presser @THE MMA GURU Izzy said that Piera was doing a really good job attacking his legs and hitting his perenial nerve and that his movement ended up limited
After watching all the highlights from this fight the was a good stoppage.
These are solid takes
It seems that Pereira will have another 6 months to improve the grappling further
he can play so against Izzy, but against killers like Khamzat...or Vettori or Rob W I would say he has not so big chances if they get him to the ground
non izzy fan but he earned my respect tonight, the best performance from izzy yet
I hate him bc he's a cheater but he had like 6 better performances easy lol. Wilkinson/Tavares/Brunson/Gastelum/Whittaker 1/Costa
This is a great recap, not many people are acknowledging the impressiveness Pereira displayed throughout the fight
Dam ur read my mind I was about to grill you on the rd 1 discussion but I do remember that punch landed on the end of the round

adesanya has an arse like an exhaust pipe
Pereira should just beat Izzy again, then just retire 4-0 lol

Great Reaction. Good job to both fighters. Congrats to Pereira
This was inevitable. Adesanya was getting gifted decsion after gifted decision and it was only time till someone upsets him.
Great prediction Guru.
It's very true what you said about the stoppage being good actually. He was on his way to being knocked out cold
Omg. The homie did an “I told u so” after the picks in the last few events. Damn son.
You nailed it, Fatman.
You deserve your props.
Pereira to Izzy reminds me of what Fury is to Wilder. They have their moments, hurt them but no matter what can't get a W over them. The demons they can't overcome!
Crazy coincidence: both Nigerian champs lost their belts in the 5th round in fights they were ahead. Middleweight is wide open again, time for a Jun Yong Park title run!
Or an abdul razzak alhassan 🇬🇭👊🏿 comeback lol
@@leandroantelo7154 exactly lmao. anyone with competent grappling can beat the champ (as long as the left hook doesn't land)
guru doesn't waste a good told-you-so moment
the dude is already asking for a rematch after getting knocked out twice!!
the perfect scenario is the following: adesanya fights the winner of rob vs costa (it could be costa), then the winner fights khamzat (hope adesanya after losing to sober costa). perfect way to get rid of adesanya once and for all.
Adesanya had his nerve go out and that’s why he couldn’t get off the fence, he’ll be back. He dominated 80% of their 3 fights and Periera some how keeps pulling it out, power punchers always have the equalizer.
I had it 2-2 going to the 5th
Apart from grappling when did Israel completely dominate Pereira? In standup Adesanya gets dominated
Nah he barely out striking Pereira while Pereira has more power and hurting Israel

I'm not sure an immediate re-match is that appealing, Izzy has lost 3x and finished twice by Alex, what can he do differently in a RM, he tried the grappling and it wasn't going anywhere, so why should the RM be any different ? But Credit to how dignified Izzy behaved before and after his defeat.
I just want to hear how he tries to promote the 4th fight 😂 what can he say to hype it up at this point ?

It’s your day, guru
As we were watching it live with my subs, I had Adesanya up 3-1 and wrote "Imagine if he manages to drop this one somehow also" then he tripped over, got caught and finished, lol. like 20 seconds afterwards. I had the same energy watching Usman-Edwards, I was feeling like something is gonna catch Usman the way he was fighting. Also, fighting Pereira hands down with your back against the cage in 4oz gloves is also a questionable choice but that mostly comes down to Izzy's fighting style which has always been like this. Now we'll have Whittaker-Pereira for the belt which is awesome. I'm not sure how Whittaker's plans to wrestle Pereira are going to work since their size difference is least to say considerable.
Great card!
Ending is so true. Alex was so close to Izzy
Adesanya tried to hug his way to a decision
