    I appreciate you guys for using my article today regarding Nick Robertson and the Carolina Hurricanes. Great video!

  • @Mlchael839

    This trade idea doesn’t make. Why would the Leafs make a move for a player who has yet to reach the NHL? Plus I don’t see the fit in Carolina.
    The Blues make more sense as trade partners and I would target Toropchenko as the main piece coming back

    Domi Matthews Nylander
    Robertson Tavares Marner
    I think with these top 2 lines Robertson would probably score 30 goals on this line.

      Robertson and Tavares do not work very well together... Roberton's PPG drops from 48 points per 82 (without Tavares) to 14 points per 82 while playing with Tavares. His production is 400 % worse worse playing with Tavares. So this combo has been been tried many times and it doesn't work well for Robertson. Roberton's production falls off a cliff playing with Tavares. Robertson is a shoot first winger with speed, he needs a playmaking C that can play on the rush. Robertson plays very well with Nylander, Domi and Holmberg but not Tavares. Tavares is a slower C, who is also shoot first player, who creates his opportunities with the cycle, something Robertson hasn't developed yet.

    def should jus hold him 100%, him asking to be traded now is just dumb. He’s abt to have a chance to get into the top 6, he’s prob not gonna get that on any other good team for a couple yrs at least. Do what they can to resign him tell him to deal w it, if he asks again send him to Nj w keefe and watch him sit.

    This is really, Trelivings first full year and I think he should talk to Nick, let him know he has a future here and keep the kid. He's going to be a goal scorer, look at his speed, he cuts in from the outside and has been getting behind defence. Keep him 100% They will regret it if they let him go because they know what they have with Nick, who knows what they would get back?

    Do we have to replace Robertson with another lesser-of-two-brothers player? If lesser Suzuki trade doesn't work out, they could sign lesser Nylander (Alex), trade with Islanders for lesser Thompson (Tyce), or see if Seattle can eat salary on lesser-but-younger Brandon Tanev. Anyone have other suggestions?

    If you think that the Leafs aren’t working with all their players on positioning and how to play on the defensive side of the puck you are mistaken. Scoring goals is a gift that few players have. Nick can score. However his size and injuries have prevented him from reaching his potential.

  • @RetroHondo67
    @RetroHondo67 Před 10 dny

    You do not trade assets at there lowest value. You sign him, highlight him in the top six. He likely shows he is a good piece, likely showing he can produce as a scorer which if he can prove he is a 20 to 25 goal guy, you can get something decent back in a trade. That’s when you trade him because despite him being a good scorer, he is not a top six forward on a Stanley Cup team. He’s too small and his defensive game is too lax. But you play him up as an asset, showing he can be a NHL regular so you can get something of value back which is a better fit on a Stanley Cup team. This where a coach and GM have to be on the same page

      Oh yeah. Same w Marner. He's gonna have to Willie this season like 88 did last year. When he does, trade his a#$ when the value is high. Leafs may as well treat 2024/25 like a triage year cause we all know they ain't going anywhere in playoffs with this forward group. Next yr no Marner ( hopefully traded for value returns) and no Tavares at 11 mil, then you have a chance for a Matthews-led Stanley window.
