If his goal wasnt to make the team id would be dissapointed. He should atleast get his ten games this year. Id love to see him opposite Will Nye and JT for a run.
I don’t think there’s any question that he’s ready. I think it’s more about giving him the opportunity he deserves in the NHL and that’s in the top 6. Which will not happen this year.
Cowan goes back to the ohl next season plays half a year then goes back and play for the leafs it would be nice if the ohl allow that ,he would be closer to make the leafs.
I don't think some of these CZcamsrs realize the importance of teams retaining every year possible of there Rookies contract. He might play 9 games...that will be it. Then back to Jr then the Canadian jrs.
Every body is very aware of that. I'm not sure you're aware that the cap situation makes a top 9 forward under a million, just as valuable as an extra year of an ELC.
Too small right now - Cowan choked in the finals in the OHL. Should fit in well with the Leafs. You guys played up Minten last year and he had zero impact.

He's literally the same size as Cale Makar right now.. And the same size that Crosby was when putting up his first 100+ point season.. So many casuals commenting on these BS stories..

I believe management is more concerned with the 40 game mark which advances arbitration eligibility
The 9 game limit is very important. They don't want to burn a year in the entry level deal.
