This siren has been successfully removed by Goddard Enterprises and was replaced with a 2001-130. The siren is presumably at Goddard's facility awaiting a complete overhaul and refurbishment. It is currently unknown when this will begin and how long it will take.
It was originally installed at a now gone drive in theatre in 1953, then relocated to the top of the shopping center before 1981, and then it’s current location sometime before 2000.
Wichita and their high pitched 1000’s, never gets old!
This was my favorite thunderbolt because it was near a toyRus and was my first thunderbolt that I saw! (Sadly been replaced by a 2001-130)
Awesome Video! I am really loving that shot!

Jeez. This thing sounds great for its age. I really which it wasn't reverse wired but hey at least it still makes a noice.
Cool! And backwards blower...
Woah! I had no idea that one is still up
The remaining Thunderbolts are here to stay
@@sirenfan97 They will all be taken down and refurbished in 2023! And yes, this is CONFIRMED!!! :D
Despite it being reverse-wired, that was loud! Do you know how loud it was?
For the oldest active thunderbolt, it's pretty healthy, and high pitched!
FINALLY!!!!!!
I hope the blower gets corrected knowing who takes care of the system now
Nice! What camera did you use to record it?
LOL it sounds like a modulator especially during the wind down
It’s a Modubolt. The complete opposite of Thundermod.
Lmfaoooo
It kind of does, now we have a modubolt
This siren used to have a bird problem, now, that it is taken care of.
Oh my god
That blower has been reverse-wired for 69 years lol. Crazy with how old this thing is. Has it been pole mounted its whole life?
