Literally the only thing Kurt has going for him is the fact that he's played by Joe Keery lmao. I think it's pretty safe to assume that if he hadn't been he wouldn't have resonated with fans of this movie nearly as much..

Bruh literally every fucking social media app has shit moderation. For example, Facebook has a lot of gore on there and it doesn't get taken down. Instagram is filled with it. It's really fucked up, and the worst thing about it is that kids are on social media and they see that shit. I've seen a lot of gore and tbh I hate it.
@@xdg21yt it's sucks even more when you realise there is no automatic algorithm that sorts through those videos, real people have to watch those videos and decide if they need to be removed or not. The fact that everybody in this movie is fricking insane and not just Kurt makes it even better
The only thing the ending missed was the fangirls on tumblr thirsting after Kurt... because yes, there are girls on tumblr who post about how cute/sexy/misunderstood real-life serial killers are

I actually went back and rewatched this movie a second time just to read the chat on screen because I have a really short attention span and it was hard for me to pay attention to both chat and the movie itself. I'm really glad I took the time to do that because the chat is honestly one of the most realistic depictions of social media I've ever seen in a movie like this and it was a great touch.

Joe Keery made this movie be way better than what it would've been without him. I'm convinced by now that he could play a rock and it'd be entertaining!
I’d watch that movie

A movie where joe keery is a talking rock would be funny as all hell
Joe Keery was so good in stranger things, he's just all around great at acting
This is one of the few horror movies where the killer won. Think about it: the entire reason that Kurt went on that killing spree was to get famous. He died at the end but he still lives on in infamy through the scummier parts of the internet. He wanted fame, and he got it. Kurt won
That's what I was thinking. You should've just ignored him, because that would have hurt him more to know that. Making his memory live on is just an injustice.

I watched the movie after watching this and came back. Also it's crazy how Joe Keery keeps this alive🤣
It's absolutely terrifying that they had to make Kurt such an unlikable character so people didn't want to be like him. They had to make him unlikable so people didn't decide to become mass murderers.
The more people we bring into this world, the more people fall into isolation and obscurity. As social animals, everyone wants to be loved and appreciated, but there's just so much competition now. It doesn't shock me that some people who aren't altogether mentally with it resort to drastic measures just to be noticed by a seemingly loveless and uncaring world.
