BOEING 747 CROSSWIND LANDINGS at Liege + B747 Departure (4K)

A few Boeing 747 on short final for runway 22L at Liege Airport. This day the pilots had to deal with crosswinds from the east and as you can see the B747` s were flying a little sidewards before alligning with the runway shortly before or after touchdown. The first B747 in this video is operated by ASL Airways which used to be TNT Airways. After they got purchased by Fedex they rebranded to ASL Airways.
Another highlight was the B747-8F of Air Bridge Cargo which also performed a perfect crosswind landing on runway 22L. The aircraft came in straight from Yemelyamo and continued its journey to Moscow. Air Bridge Cargo has its european hub in Liege and that` s why you can see up to three Jumbos of Air Bridge at Liege on a daily basis. They mainly connect the USA and Asia with Europe.
The departing B747-400 (OO-ACF) used to be the famous green Boeing 747. Sadly it received a paint job in Ireland and now it` is flying around in a rather white livery. It looks quite fresh but I prefered the green livery.

Absolutely fantastic! The 747 is just beautiful. Such power, such size yet so graceful and majestic. We will never see the like again. I feel privileged to have seen these iconic aircraft in service and even more fortunate to have been able to fly on them. What an experience as a passenger! Such excitement and such glamour!
