Hi, I can't seem to get Chiaki v1.7 to work. My console doesn't show up when I launch it (despite being on the same network as my PS5). I tried putting in the IPv4 address (192.168.etc) and used public lookup to enter my PSN account. It says "Regist timed out waiting for search response" then "regist search failed" Can anyone help?
The flip screen site doesn’t work anymore, anyone have any other suggestions?
The image quality of the game is weaker than on TV. Is it possible to modify it on steam deck oled? Thanks.
Hi. I believe the standard PS4 is limited to 720p, the PS4 Pro and PS5 should allow for higher resolutions (1080p from memory) which you can set in the Chiaki Video menu. In the same menu there are also some options which relate to quality (Codec/Render preset etc) so it's worth playing around with these too if you're still not happy with the quality after setting the resolution. Obviously having a good quality connection between your PS, router and Steam Deck will help too!

The streaming will freeze every 30 sec or so i lowered my bitrate to 7000 and it still freezing , i even have 5g network which is very fast and i had no problem streaming into my ipad
this might be a little bit late, but i used to have the same porblems with the originial ps portal, (i sold it lel), and i basically just unplugged the hdmi cable from my ps5, and it worked after that, maybe try that :D

Hey! Any tutorial on how to use community layouts?
Hi, thanks for watching! To set a community controller layout, select Chiaki4deck in your library, then select the image of a controller on the right hand side (next to the settings cog). Then select the current button layout at the top and navigate to the "community layouts" section. Press X to "show all layouts" and you should get a list.
Select a layout, then remember to press X to apply the layout you've selected. Hope this helps!
@@NerdZap unfortunately it says that "we couldn't find any layout" btw, the chiaki4deck is working fine. My problem is, I can't go back home when playing remotely on Steamdeck. Like, where's the PS button.
@@carvsquinto4402 Did you press X to show all layouts? 🤔 Once you apply a layout, it will map a button to the PS button.
If you still can't get it working, just map L4 or L5 to the esc key and that will act as a PS button!

Ive tried to get chiaki running for hours and it just always says that it times out nothing ive tried has gotten it to work
Hi. Does it connect then time out, or has it never connected? Are your Steam Deck and PS both on the same network (i.e. connected to the same router on the same subnet).
It doesnt connect at all and yes the steam deck is on the same network as the ps5
how about different WiFi or cellular data? I wanna play it when I am not at home.

I've not tried standard Chiaki but you could try installing using command line. Run "Konsole" from the application launcher, type the following and press enter:
flatpak install io.github.streetpea.Chiaki4deck

I had the same issue. For some reason after a restart of the steam deck, Chiaki4deck appeared in the search results in the discovery store
@@superwiezel i tried that even logged completely out it just doesnt find Chiaki4Deck only Chiaki will most likely have to try the method provided

Im getting constant FPS drop when playing TLOU2 at 60 fps do you know why this is?

It’s cool . It was because my PS5 was connected via WI-FI. I connected it to Ethernet and it worked flawlessly
Its not detecting my console for some reason. Both are connected to same wifi and remote play is enabled on both ps5 and steam deck. Any help would be appreciated!
I had this happen until I bought a new router, now works great.
They're probably on different WiFi bands (5ghz/2.4ghz). Ideally the playstation should be wired and the steam deck connected to 5ghz WiFi.

Hi. If you use the same community layout as me, pressing the left track pad acts as the PS button. Or just map any button to the ESC key and use that 👌

It can only be a killer if it has the dual sense features which I believe it doesn’t
Hi, I've not fully tested all controller features but if you already have a Steam Deck then this is a great option to save a few hundred pounds/dollars! Streetpea has provided quite a comprehensive guide here for controller layout options, which includes touch screen mapping and even using the microphone: streetpea.github.io/chiaki4deck/setup/controlling

you can turn haptics and adaptive triggers on the steam deck
@@walterandrews4985 How do you turn on haptics? I checkmarked the experimental features in Chiaki4deck but how do I turn them on?
@@brianrolfsen9487 in the newest version of chiaki4deck click the gear check the box that says ps5 features for haptics and adaptive triggers and then start remote play.
@@brianrolfsen9487 click the gear icon, check ps5 features in the general section and that should work. Turn on something like Astros playroom to confirm.
