I just witnessed infront of my eyes, the title of the video changing from (Rare) to (Nearly Impossible)
Nearly impossible
I've been on the edge about this channel solely for the titles.
Videos seem the same but I’m a loyal fan
@@troger147okay this got me 😂
Your the chosen one
Peter Cushing who had very large feet found his boots extremely uncomfortable. He convinced Lucas to mainly film him from the waist up so he could wear more comfortable shoes so in most of his scenes he was actually wearing house slippers which just cracks me up.
😂😂 I wanna see those shots! "You may fire when ready." *_sips coffee, adjust newspaper_*
Now that's a fun fact
So basically, Palpatine respected Tarkin, so he gave him permission to wear slippers on the Death Star.
The guy who played Tywin Lannister from game of thrones would make an excellent Tarkin if a film about Tarkin was made
And the guy that played his son could be an Ewok in the film.
@@kyleking4999lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
True, but I don't think they will ever make a movie about Tarkin.
@@pullo5518 you don't know what you're Tarkin about.
I would have noted that for a while, Tarkin did change for the better during the Clone Wars. He did learn some compassion and true sense of justice during that time despite not liking how the Jedi did things. After all, the Tarkin of the Empire wouldn't have bat an eye about nearly sentencing an innocent person (Ahsoka) to death like Clone Wars Tarkin did.
I always kinda figured that “sparing” Ahsoka was something that Tarkin later looked back on with regret, especially since she ended up being a pain in the empires side like most rouge/lost jedi.
I wouldn't go as far as to calling it compassion and sense of justice, but he wasn't a complete monster back then.
It's worth noting that even Vader was shocked by Tarkin blowing up Alderaan. Tarkin also successfully took down Vader during their mutually agreed hunt in the Darth Vader comics.
I think it was a draw since Vader still choked him despite getting struck by lightning
I knew Sidious respected Tarking. Always has that feeling from him
Tarkin would make an excellent Sith Marauder due to his vicious nature.
Tarkin is the apprentice Sidious wish he had.
You have become A RIVAL!
According to previously released content (West end games' D6 Star Wars) Tarkin was in fact force sensitive (As was Han), but lacked any sort of education of the matter.
Sate Pestage was probably the closest thing Palpatine had to a friend. Wish he was in the movies, or at least in a canon animated tv series. Legends Sate Pestage was Grand Vizier to Palpatine.
You’re doing a really good job, I’ve learned a lot from you.
This is actually incorrect. Sidious might have “enjoyed” Tarkin for a time but in the end was so glad to see him perish on the destruction of the Death Star.
Tarkin would make a Great Sith if he had the Force
Nice one always
I remember the first time I saw Tarkin I was 9 years old. Even when I didn't know what it was to be cold I somehow knew he was cold.
You know who could have and should have played Tarkin in Rogue One? Christopher Plummer. Christopher had much the same screen presence and steely gaze as Peter Cushing, and Chris was still alive for a few more years at the time of production. So I think it would have been a fitting choice, despite the differences in voice.
I always thought Grand Admiral Thrawne was the favorite of the Empire but i guess Palps was just too xenophobic to admire Thrawne’s accomplishments hence Tarkin being the face of the Imperial military
Honestly, I don’t think Palpatine was xenophobic. Much of the empire’s xenophobia came from the bureaucracy (who palpatine did pretend to be xenophobic for to keep in line such as when he pretended to view thrawn as subhuman). Rather, based on the rise of figures like thrawn, Bertroff Hissa, Mas Amedda, Sly Moore, the Grand Inquisitor, Jerec, etc., I don’t think palpatine cared at all about species, the only thing he cared about was who could benefit him, because in the end his superiority complex was exclusive to him in that he saw himself as above all other beings.
@@Sultan_Vader_VIbut wasn’t Thrawne the most calculating even more than Tarkin bc as a character he always stood out given the fact its been argued he could’ve won the Empire a huge victory in the long game if Palpatine had agreed to his ideas for the advanced TIE fighter interceptors instead of Krennics Death Star project
@joshuahenderson3444 debatable. Had Krennic noticed the flaw that Galen built into the Death Star the rebels would have no chance to blow it up.
@@joshuahenderson3444 Thrawn was one of the very few people in the Galaxy who dared to voice his concerns to Palpatine. There was one comic where he blatantly reveals to Palpatine that he knows about the Death Star, even though it was a top secret project at the time and he openly asks Palpatine what his intentions are. If Palpatine had no respect for him, that would immediately get him fried by lightning
@@Sultan_Vader_VI He is KNOWN as being xenophobic. The Imperials all being human is no accident. Thrawn is one of those very rare exceptions due to his unmatched gift for strategy which served the Empire well. And yet still it's Tarkin who is held in the highest regard.
Tarkin was the dude that got things done.
Then Palpatine disses the fuck out of Tarkin when he found out he let the Deathstar get destroyed.
Fantastic!
The movies are severely lacking in the depth of their characters. Tarkin had a strong presence (on camera), but these stories of his past make him ever more intimidating. 😳
I kinda want to see a live action Tarkin in Andor doing the Ghorman Massacre
The story is tragic he tried to do the right thing for the Republic and when he realized the leaders were inept he panicked and fell from Grace
Sidious respects ruthlessness and ambition, and Tarkin has that in droves.
Tarkin was ruthless from the moment I saw him in Star Wars but my mind was blown even more when they showed his character in the clone wars…
Dude was throwing left and right hooks at The Jedi with no force ability
Hey Stupendous! Big fan. Could you by chance drop your background music for this upload???
Then he completely lost that respect after "Tarkin's Folly".
Don't forget about his fondness for slippers! 1:19
Make a video explaining how strong you'd think he be if he'd was a sith giving his character 👀🫨
Grand Moff Tarkin may have been a cold calculating and callus person but he was right about one thing: The Jedi were not fit to lead a war they were meant to be peacekeepers not soldiers leading a war and his belief in their code of ethics and dogmatic ways made them weak which of course was true
He’s the most ruthless cold blooded Man in the galaxy
Please make a video ontarkins book
I will never get used to Tarkin's first name. XD
The only difference between Palpatine and Tarkin was that one was able to touch the force and draw immense levels of power from it and the other was just an average guy.
Tarkin's Earth counterpart, horror legend, Peter Cushing... doesn't need the Force!
Cartoon Peter Cushing getting in knife fights is just ridiculous.
It is worth noting Anikan did respect Tarkin. And admired how he got the job done at any cost. Yet another warning ⚠️ sign 🪧 about our chosen one ☝️
Mind the emoji-spam, you don't need to follow up anything with an emoji when it literally means what you've already said.
Pretty sure that Thrawn also fits the title
My headcannon is that Palpatine would have made Tarkin the Emperor if he ever chose to step back.
What about Mas Amedda?
He was simply HIM
I can respect tarkin just like Thrawn
as cold as he is i think that is the kind of person you want in charge of ending a war.
the more a war drags on the more die.
same logic used when the a bomb was dropped.
honestly, i think the galaxy was more stable under sidious even though life was cheaper.
community is in between tyranny and freedom
Sidious ended up wanting to kill tarken
Well, I'm guessing had Tarkin survived the destruction of the Death Star, Palpatine would've had a few choice words with him that ended in: ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
@@elmermedina1713 it’s in cannon that Palpatine was very pissed off thsr tarken blew up that planet. PAL and Vader both started thinking that tarken was getting to power hungry and insane.
Not a fan of the esp setting. I actually turn it off and I play m&k. But I find it's easier to aim without it
Tarkins a badass in the comments so makes sense
Guys SW is a big part of my life but the way it’s looking with the DEI bulls is killing me. How a company can lie about there intentions and simultaneously fu@k up there own plans so bad. I have all the books besides the high republic. I’m so sad
I think Thrawn also fits into the category of non-force sensitives that the Emperor respected
Do they ever interact? I haven't read the comics or the books. But I'd say Palpatine may have seen Thrawn more as a very valuable asset for the Empire.
Knew it was tarkin
What about Boba Fet?
No wonder Palpatine liked him. He's a psychopathic, sadistic tyrant like him. No matter the family. May the Force be with you too
ifi had a death star... i wouldnt bat an eye destroying a planet
Tarkin died in the explosion of the Death Star.
I wish tarkin never died in episode 4
Tarkin was the shit!
I like Tarkan saying, as he says in the beginning as he’s getting dressed, my plaque will look so much better with blood on it in the very beginning of the chapter God bless you and Jesus loves you
Never understood it. Tarkin screwed the empire over more then anyone with his poor decisions in new hope such as destroying Alderaan and refusing to launch any fighters to defend the Death Star
His overconfidence was his undoing. Ironically the same thing that lead to the Emperor's death on the second Death Star when you think about it
@@Ethan-wr2os as well as the empires entire strategy at endor. It was a big shock and awe show to try to turn Luke to the darkside.
I would say he also respects GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN TOO! DUH
Thrawn?
Tarkin is almost as evil as Palpatine almost. He hardly showed any compassion
But he also respected another one that was Thrawn
I understand why he didn't respect thrawn but respected tarkin instead it is because he is irrational psychopath thrawn is better person and more impressive on nearly every merit
Goes pretty hand-&-hand with the previous video discussing, Vitiate, the only Sith Lord Sidious didn't respect for pretty much the same reasons
Tarkin vs Thrawn
Break it down
Dun duh duh dun dun dun duh dun duh
🤨
Did he not leave his brother to die?
Why are the titels always the only jedi he respected the only non force sensetive he respected. But than there are 20 videos about 20 diffrent characters he respected. Just Say one of the few and the video still makes the same clicks
Day 357 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
Makes me hate him more.
Do you think Anakin would have still fell to the dark side if Ahsoka had never left
Nope.
I think that if she never left, Sidious would orchestrate her death
palpatine still had tarkins son killed, so id rather not have the emperors respect
Like Hitler, he was to much in charge. To much of one idea. Nazi-ideology.
Tarkin was to much of one idea. His doctrine.
To much of one thing means you are to little of everything else.
Like an equalizer is to be adjusted to music, every situation is to be administered with the just right amount of what it takes to win the day.
Not, What you believe, what gets your rocks off!
The mask had fallen with the first use of the Death Star. Everyone knew the truth that the Sith were in power.
Tarkin made the Rebel alliance grow so big that the Dark side, the side that feeds on hate, was in danger. The people feared it so much it made them brave.
What if Tarkin was force-sensitive?
Palpatine would no doubt have him trained as a grand inquisitor.
If the Cold War never happened in our time then I'm getting Russian vibes cuz a Russian actor could betray what Tarkin's lifestyle was cuz Russians have to live a hard life. I can see this happening
The man was hands down a terrible person. The galaxy was better off without him. Much like Darth Sidious.
Wilhuff Tarkin > Thrawn
Nah, especially not in Legends
@@user-yq9im9dk9z you see blue and think it's cool. i see blue balls disease.
@@persuasivebarrier2419 Not even close. Tarkin's decision to destroy Alderaan is pretty much what set the Empire's downfall into motion. Even Sidious was shocked by it. When the Death Star was destroyed, Sidious said that Tarkin was lucky to be on board when it blew up, since he now doesn't have to face punishment
@@somerandomnon-importantper3219 thrawn was lost in space for four years and lost to the rebels too, what’s your point.
@@persuasivebarrier2419 Rather I should ask you what your point is. Tarkin failed to protect the Death Star, which is a far bigger failure than Thrawn being lost
NNNNNNOOOOOOO
He not respect Thrawn?
He did but not to the same extent
Tarkin is almost as evil as Palpatine almost. He hardly showed any compassion his family really did shape him.
I think I am beyond tired of people simping for Palpatine. Yes he was powerful but by no means the most powerful Sith to ever live. Not even close in many cases. Did Sideous live for a thousand years? Was he able to run three separate bodies while ruling two empires? Nope. Again yes, Sideous was powerful but not the most powerful ever, just the most recent bad guy. Please give that phrase a bloody rest!
Power is not measured by how long you rule nor by how many Empires you rule. I don't know whether you've seen DBZ, but one of its main villains, Frieza, who literally destroys entire planets with the flick of a finger, would be weaker than that Sith you're talking about if that were the case
And even if we're talking about Force power, Lucas is on record stating that Sidious is in fact the strongest dark side user to ever live. I think the main problem here is that despite saying that, Lucas never actually properly showed Sidious' power. The only things he does is telekinesis, lightning and occasional lightsaber duels. Nevertheless, his failure in presentation should not negate his intention
@@somerandomnon-importantper3219 Considering how many times George changed his mind about people in cannon, I'll take that with a grain of salt the size of Jupiter. He failed then to show any kind reason for all the fanboying going on. I think Sideous was a sad knock off but hey, my opinion, you don't have to like it.
@@DonLoco3 While I understand your concern, what could be a more reliable source for the whereabouts of a fictional universe than its own creator?
@@somerandomnon-importantper3219 He is no longer the sole creator of said universe and couldn't make up his own mind about people in cannon when he was. So no one.
Hi
I thought he respected his royal guard.
They are force sensitive.
HAHA IM THE FIRST LIKE AND COMMENT!!
The english in this title is not good.
love your stories but you sold tarkin cheap.....so much you missed of more merit to the topic
Yeshua loves you all and he died for you and 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 confess and believe in Yeshua (Jesus) death burial and resurrection and you will have eternal life
Old news. Live in the now.
Living your life based on a book written about a jew zombie is literally more insane than living your life based off star wars.
amen, even star wars nerds need salvation, like my bible studies teacher and myself.
Palpatine liked Tarkin because he saw him as a sith without force power
Thrawn?
Tarkin is almost as evil as Palpatine almost. He hardly showed any compassion
Thrawn?
