I heard he was traveling with the queen on a cart pulled by one of the queens horses when the horses tail lifted and it let out a massive loud and long fart.
"Oh my lord, I am awfully sorry about that" ... said the queen in her posh voice
"Das alrite darlin, I thought it was thee horse" Del replied

Yet. This trilogy does also feel fitting. It does capture the horror of how rich people can suddenly go bankrupt because of extreme bad luck.
These episodes shouldn’t have been made. It should have left alone after the 1996 finale.

The 2001-2003 episodes should never have happened. At least the 2003 episode ended on a happy note.
They were still funny though & I enjoyed them. I agree it would have been better to end it for good on the Time on our hands episode. It was a perfect ending .
@@caseyfalconer7347 I used to think that, but the point of these endings was to prove that they never needed the money after all to be happy, so it ended on a more symbolic note.

As funny as they could be, I honestly hate what these episodes did, the series ended happily, the boys were millionaires, they walked off into the sunset but these episodes ruined that happy ending
The point is that Del and Rodney would never be able to keep it, Del especially is always reaching for more because he's a yuppie
The point is, once they got rich, the whole sitcom was eventually finished. The whole thing that made only fools and horses funny was their dreams of becoming millionaires, once that happened the show was ruined
Should of ended when they got the watch money wasn’t funny after that spoilt lots of good memories just my opinion
But of course. Because it became the most popular and best made British Sitcom ever. John Sullivan never heard the end of it.
Agreed - the ending where they walk off and Del says “this time next year we’ll be BILLIONAIRES “ that was pure perfection.
Tessa Peake-Jones is still 10/10 to this day. Cheers
It's a little known fact but Tessa is/was married to actor Douglas Hodge, the guy who played their grown up son Damien in the other special episode where Rodney played the servant.
It's the godfather syndrome.. 2nd godfather.surpassd the first..the 3rd ..a bridge way 2 far.. luckily like the GF..only fools..is legendary..these episodes wo.nt could never define these masterpieces..
Madness the show didn’t continue. Probably cos of the David Jason etc not willing too. But this show should have had another 50 episodes and it wouldn’t have spoilt it. The best and the greatest on screen duo and the best in uks history of tv. Absolutely.
These were the worst episodes of Only Fools I preferred when Del was the wheeler deeper cockney diamond geezer from Nelson Mandan’s house selling tat from a suitcase in Shepards Bush and driving his three wheeled van with Roders and Grandad he’d always park on a yellow and put a notice saying midwife on call on the dashboard
Couldn’t stop laughing not laugh this much in awhile haha , miss this so much comedy now days has turned to shit
I, find these later episodes difficult to accept. Why look for investments when you have 6.5 million in the bank? The interest 1 million would accrue is more than enough to maintain their new lifestyle. Luckily or unluckily Del and Rodney's significant others stuck around, after the money was gone. Still, it is fiction only. Response to video only.

@@callumwhite516 but “Ashes to Ashes” and “A losing streak” and the most famous episode “A tough of glass” (with the chandler) was series 2
@@CricketEngland I’m saying the series as a whole is underrated. Those two are classics but there’s others in that series that aren’t appreciated as much as they should be
