@@marieremelie6716 Calm down. I was just joking around. But yes, younger people sometimes mix up lyrics. Maybe on stage drunk or high. Maybe a long tour and you're burnt out. Maybe distracted or just out of it. But let's not pretend like anyone in the world ever has to "memorize hundreds of songs" and recall them at will. I'm a musician myself. And yes, I know all if MY material and I also know thousands of other songs. But even if you written hundreds of songs. You only have to have your setlist honed in and stage ready. And the more you play songs, the more they become muscle memory. Especially your big hits. And in this case he didn't have a setlist to sharpen up and remember. He just had sections of a few of his biggest songs, and he was preped on them all beforehand. It's just a bit surprising coming from such a pro. But father time gets us all.

I never had but one grandmother. All the other grands died before I was born. The one I had drank moonshine and chased it with bud light. She treated me to keep watch for her and wear her oxygen mask so she could sneak a cigarette. She was the mother of my uncles of the outlaw side. She owned badass hotrods and motorcycles. I have her eyes. And naturally curly hair. She died on her 86th bday. My sister was born the day after. I only ever remember seeing her 4 or 5 times. She was hateful because "she was dying anyway". Glad I was the one that covered for her. Otherwise I was always scared of her. My GPA was a moonshiner. I can only imagine what she went through as his wife. He was mean and abusive.

As John's career has wound down in recent years, it's sometimes hard to remember what a astonishing number of hits he had - literally dozens in the Top 100 - and what a major musical influence he was in his heyday. Just a massive talent. Also happy that, with all the demons he wrestled with over the years that could have easily sent him over the edge, he's found himself living a long, happy and prosperous life.
I recently did an Elton John playlist by listening to his entire discography. It's over 400 songs and the playlist is 89 songs long with a play time of over 6h of his very best. He's a beast!

What I will always remember from his concert (2022), it was the absolute most amazing mix of generations all singing and enjoying together (kids to elderly) :) . The best performer and amazing music for all generations to come together. Thanks, Elton!!

There's a saying about looking back, it's like driving a car while looking in the rearview mirror. Looking back to learn from mistakes and relive the good times is fine, unless you stay there. Looking forward toward the vision you want, along with the surprises on the way, keeps your life fresh, interesting, it keeps you young and joyful. Also looking back takes you out of the present moment. I understand this in a much different way now that I've gotten older. (I was in school when Elton's first album came out.
