Vlog Number #50 ! Where has the time gone !!!! This is the pre Blackpool VLOG so was a quieter weekend... But the usual Gaming, Beerage and a trip to Chatham ensued where I recorded a game hunt. And I did the visit I said I would not do... I visited GAME, More to check the state of the place and make no purchases due to their shocking customer services !
And of course in-between the Chatham visit and the general retro gaming a pint or two will be consumed as it is the weekend after all.

I went into a GAME the other day, and it depressed me. It was one of those that were in Sports Direct. The toys have taken over.

Editing is normally enjoyable for me but the vlog I just tried was a nightmare. I had like 15 short videos and pics and trying to organize them and get it edited took ages.

Yes, I would deny being nothing but a metal head! But honestly there are lots of other genres of of music I really like; perhaps cannot really state a preference before you've got some experience of everything else, and for me that is where my difficulty lies. Much the same with the games both modern and retro. For myself, I'm happy to keep playing, trying, playing, however like you mention, too many games- not enough time!

I remember seeing LIVE AID start, via the telly in 1985, when I was 11-yo. Remember buying the 'Band Aid' 7-inch single, during the previous December, in the local Record/ music shop. So many happy memories ❤

I hope you enjoy Blackpool OG, shame about the weather forecast but it doesn't rain in the pubs! I'm heading down there in July staying at the caravan park in Fleetwood, handy for Fleetwood Games and the tram to Blackpool.
I do like Maiden, been to see them a few times in Glasgow but Deep Purple are my favourite band.
That F1 Race Stars looks pretty fun, I'll need to take it off the shelf and give it a play!

It's not a trip to Blackpool without the weather being like that, so ideal for your first visit 😄
If you're in the south area of Blackpool near the Pleasure Beach, I'd recommend popping into Dream Maker Toys. I don't even collect older toys and collectables, but this is a fun shop to explore -- although I haven't been there for around five years, so hopefully it's the same!

My next door neighbour worked for Game a few years back.
He got out before lockdown, he said the company wasn’t focussing on the games, they were more about the merchandise and toys.
He said himself the customer service was shocking and the employees didn’t get support from the management at any level of the business.
So I’m not surprised the writing is on the wall.
Yep it’s such a shame but from my customer experience I really am not surprised at all 🙄

I just can't see Game going anytime soon, most now take a tiny section up in current stores like sports direct, I bet their overheads are next to nothing as they're just using the current network that the rest of the Fraser's group use.
Personally can’t see their individual stores lasting but time will tell matey 😉

I work for game OG and we are going in too house of Fraser got rid of pre owned and now the points system coz it’s all going in to house of Frasers I don’t think Chatham store is tho 😎👌🏼
