Great Video. I can't believe I found it about the very board I have questions about.
Thanks for doing this.
Greatly appreciate these videos, especially to help refresh my memory or learn something new.
Another excellent informative video. Well produced. Thanks
Thanks so much. The video is very informative and educational.
Excellent vid 🙏🏽
Very good troubleshooting ! Wiring simplified great videos !
Glad you enjoyed it
Great explanation.
Helpful video 👍
Like always thanks again for a great educational video appreciate it
So nice of you
Great Information as always!!
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome job thank you so much
Great video as always.
Glad you enjoyed it
I can’t figure out how to control fan speed on my Rheem HVAC with a different board
Same question for my new Bryant board! Let me know please when you find out 👊💯
Thanks for the verification. I must replace blower relay. Burned up when blower stator shorted to field windings.
(2 year old motor POS!)
Nice run through on the fan control board.
Thanks Rick!
Fantastic and thorough explanation. While it's running do you use amp clamp to see if it is directing the current to the correct path?
Nice video. If you have a defective relay should you just replace the relay or just replace the board with a new upgraded board that has a new relay ?? Is the cost efficient in difference to spend the extra money and just replace the whole board .
He is very good
Thank you for the instructions. My fan motor is turning off and on and I can hear a relay click as it keeps turning off and on. I put a voltmeter to the terminals and of course the needle kept jumping up and down every time it clicked. Would that be a bad relay or could it be something shutting the power off and on continuously to the relay?
Great video! Got any tips on how to check whether the output of an ignition coil is working? My furnace works fine if I ignite the burners by hand but automatic ignition is broken. How can I determine if I need to replace the ignitor (spark type) or if the control board, where the coil is mounted, is bad?
Good
Thanks ☺️☺️
No problem
Great thank you
Welcome
Quick question, i would really appreciate your input!
Ive been building guitar tube amps and pedals and repairing old tube and solid state radios/receivers for years and ive also replaced our furnaces limit switch, inducer motor and one other part that i forget the name and purpose of (this was three years ago). And since those repairs ive had no issues until last night i noticed our inducer motor isnt turning off again. I also noticed our air filter was damp. So at first i was convinced they were related but now im thinking correlation doesn't equal causation here. I say that because i checked that the condensate line in now clear (using a shop vac) and then i turned my attention to the furnace. It wouldn't turn on but the thermostat was calling for heat but failing to get ignition. So i took the panel covering the pcb off and held the switch while i tapped the relay when it called for heat and that did the trick. So now im wondering if i can just pull the PCB and replace the relay with the same part number/relay type. Ive worked with relay switching on guitar pedals and i am quite familiar with how they function and how to design and circuit using them as well as how to properly remove and replace them without damaging the board. So my question is what do you recommend? Should i attempt to find a replacement board or should i pull the board and replace the relay? Also do those symptoms sound like they could be related to you, the wet filter and the furnace issues that is (with your wealth of experience i figure there could be something that those symptoms are telling you that i lack the experience to see). Thanks for reading and any help you can offer!
This guy is one of the real ones.
I have a Trane x95M furnace that was installed in fall of 2021. I have a two story home. The master bedroom is on the second level on the opposite side of the house where the furnace is located (in the basement). The master bedroom is 5-7 degrees warmer in the summertime and likewise cooler in the wintertime. I am thinking about installing a duct fan to boost the airflow into the bedroom. In the summer, I usually run the furnace fan continuously and in the winter I have the furnace fan on auto. I am thinking of using the EAC terminals to power a relay to control the duct fan. After listening to your video, it seem if I use the EAC terminals, I will not be able to operate the duct fan when I have my thermostat set for the funrnace fan to run continuously in the summertime. Does that make sense? Should I use a positive air flow pressure switch mounted in the plenum to control the duct fan rather then the EAC terminals. What method would you recommend?
👍👍👍right on time
So glad!
Thanks
No problem
What causes relay to switch to cooling tap if fan is in on position at thermostat and calling for cooling? If they are both using the same relay.
awesome Craig!!!! thank you again for sharing your awesome.
My pleasure!!
So on cooling mode only R & Y are making contact and G is not making contact for the fan to run?
Great Video. Thank you for sharing. If possible could you make video how to lubricate oil, grease on motor or hvac-r system . Thank you ^_^
I recently replaced a board that was burned up. The damage was isolated to the relay on the board. I replaced the board and made sure all my connections were tight. The unit works fine. What caused the board to burn up?
Can someone explain to me the thing about voltage drop when your contactor goes bad ?
Great video. How cab I become a great service Technician like you
Can you please make a video on connecting booster fan to blower so they run simultaneously?
What if you have 2 zones controlled with dampers? When just 1 zone is running, I need it on Med-Low, otherwise it short cycles. But if both zones are going, it needs to be on Med-Hi or even High otherwise it takes forever.
Hi, I just installed a "smart" thermostat and it apparently doesn't support continuous low-speed fan. Seems like I should be able to make a connection at the furnace control PCB to have it run all the time on low-speed, and switch to the higher speed when heat or air comes on. How would I do this? Thanks!
Can you please do a video on how to solve a reverse polarity issue?
Like what to do when you get a code for that and where to start.
RE: "heat speed is usually used for your fan" (8:45)
Is there a way to configure these boards so fan "on" (G) can use a different blower speed than the heat speed?
It looks like I can wire red (low) to continuous fan, but, "any time you have power to the control board, you're going to have power over to the continuous fan" (3:17).
Ideally I would like to be able to trigger red (low) only when the thermostat's fan "on" setting calls for it, so conversely, it's off when the thermostat isn't set to fan "on".
The goal would be to have the heat speed running whatever is appropriate for BTU/CFM/pressure when heat is called for, but the fan would run on a slower speed simply to circulate the air between calls for heat (triggered from the thermostat).
U should make a video of a furnace that uses dpdt relays us new students really need those cause there is still homes out here that use those kind pleaseeeeeeeeee make a video on that we would all appreciate it that
Here is a video on it, thanks- czcams.com/video/55T_xk9tWXA/video.html
Magic chef furnace contacts click to heat and cool but condenser is on but high speed blower won't turn on you can hear it stable once in a while
My from Bangladesh
I have that same circuit board on my Heil ac unit, I think my board may be dead because the little green LED on mine isn't flashing. I liked and subscribed. Please help! Thank you.
In this example, why isn't EAC powered along with Continuous Blower???
Magic chef condenser turns on but high speed blower won't go on fan stays on
Time to change out that dinosaur 😅😂🤣🤣🤣👊💥💯
Can you put the Spanish translation of the videos please 🙏
Why don't we, spanish speaking people, make an effort and learn english? I don't see comments requesting the video to be translated to german, hindi, russian, portuguese, etc.
@@CarlosPerez-uu6ji👏👏👏👏👏👊💥💯
You make Excellent videos but the only bad thing is you do not answer most of the questions people ask which isn’t good.
Subtitles in Spanish please 🙏 🙂
