Heartbreaking for Kontaveit at her home tourney, but this was demolition from Barbora, haven't seen her play this well in months hope to see this Krejcikova more often

Don't know how she lost to Kontaveit, she usually beats her.

Krejcikova and Siniakova are lowkey legends for both winning a WTA tournament right after another doubles GS win, it just shows how versatile and talented they really are even if they aren't the type of players to be top 10 in the singles ranking.
Barbora definitely is a top 10 player, she’s just been injured this season.

Barbora is EASILY a top 10 player. She is back to the form of 1 year or 2 ago. Siniakova is not top 10 but still a very good player.
When Barbora is in shape, she is one of the best tennis players in the world. If she hadn't been injured in the earlier part of the season, I'm sure she would have won another grand slam or at least the WTA 1000 this year. Congratulations also to Anett for a good week at her home tournament.

I watched her maybe 2 months ago she lacked power, looked spent. What a change. One of the most technical players out there, a joy to watch.
She hasnt ever won a wta1000 or even a 500. So im not so sure about that, also almost imposible to win another grand slam. Sure she is a good player that deserves to be in the current top 10, but besides swiatek and jabuer current top 10 seems really weak

Watching Krejcikova when she’s fit and got some confidence is honestly a pleasure. Natural timing and flow to her shots combined with aesthetically pleasing technique, solid variety and good court craft. Hopefully she can stay fit and keep this going through the season closure and into next season.

Wow after a rougher year what a week. She’s won 4 singles titles already. Very nice for a side hustle. And a slam. Very underrated player. Touch. Easy power. All court game. GreAt composure. Easy to cheer for.
krejcikova is baaack. i have a feeling she'd be top 10 again in no time. she's the consistent type unlike most of the top 15 players. she'd be a good mix among swiatek and jabeur

Bravo, Barbora!! What agile form and versatility she showed throughout this match - it really stretched Kontaveit to her limits, which is quite a feat since she's at the top of her game. Congratulations to both ladies on their masterful playing!

Krejcikova shouldn't even been in this Final in the first place. She cheated Bencic out of Final. She lied to the umpire that she was injured. Apparently she wasn't injured. Bencic was picking her appart and Krejcikova takes MTO. It was clear obvious cheating and injury faking.

Over the week, I've seen several comments that Krejcikova doesn't hit the ball hard. I think some viewers confuse volume with force and pace. She certainly mixes it up, but clearly comes through the ball as well.
Absolutely! The smooth, long groundstrokes generate more than their fair share of power - between that and her gazelle-like court coverage, I'm a fan!!

Notice how different the Estonian crowd treated someone playing one of their own and beating her, and how the yanks treated Kontaveit and any player that played one of theirs at the US Open.
The Estonians have been such a respectful crowd! Against Xiyu and Bonaventure, they were absolutely silent during the points and only breaking out in great cheers for Kontaveit once it was completely over. They were never antagonistic or over the top after the match either.
Congrats Barbora. It looks like she really deserved it since she was solid this whole tournament.
I feel for Kontaveit...pure power but the Krejicova's precision beats that today ..That's tough but good luck next time

I love Annet a lot but the technical difference against player like Barbora is very visible. Barbora is fluid with amplitude and looseness, Annet force everything. Anyway. i like both player.

Sometimes these matchups just make you wince, Krejcikova had nothing to lose and Kontaveit…..a lot. Anett has lost a variety of different finals this year after coming close to her biggest win yet. An Indoor hard court final at home though will sting right before she goes off to defend many points. Can’t help but feel so much for the loser sometimes.
Krejcicova has actually won a slam and been a winner a lot in doubles. Winning is a habit. She has taken care of muguruza for example who is clearly better than kontaveit.

Krejcikova is cheater. She in her Semi-Final match against Bencic took fake MTO and that destroyed Bencic's momentum/rhythm. Barbora Krejcikova doesn't deserve to be a champion of this tournament after what she did in her match against Belinda Bencic.
Well Bencic did it same in the final of the olympic games last year against Vondrousova. Bencic didn’t deserve to win that match anyways. She had only 2 break points, Krejcikova had 20, sooo MTO really didn’t change anything, Krejcikova was better In that match.
