If I'm using Farmhouse Teas flavor packs I love the rosemary citrus. If I'm using fresh, I really like lemon strawberry.
My favorite farmhouse teas flavor is the one that tastes a little like Dr. Pepper & mmmm I have to try lemon strawberry!
Just starting to learn about Kombucha. We have been on a journey to figure out fermentation in general. Thanks for this video.
Oh! And also, so my family lives in deep southern Mississippi area and are wanting to come up the north eastern coastal area. I know you live in the area, could you do some videos of what you recommend in your area of things you like as a person who lives there? I love the hidden gems that the locals know sometimes better than tourist stuff!
The orange hibiscus is wonderful. I purchased your starter kit pulse 3 different flavorings and love it. My 2nd fermentation finished today and it turned out great. Thank you
YAY!! This makes me so happy! (and that IS a good one! Second only to Cherry Almond, in my opinion :) )
I love Peach ! I really want to make my own, but I am nervous to start!
I love Ginger Peach! But straight up peach is good too :) And I totally "get" you but seriously if you just know the right tips & tricks it's SO good and the most fun I have in my kitchen. :)
I have never heard of or know what kombucha is. No idea.
Love watching your video's.
Regards from South Africa xoxo
well i LOVE to hear I taught someone what kombucha is! (And I loved "meeting" you over on my instagram today! Thanks for reaching out. 😃)
I've never tasted it before. I've never even heard of it until Lisa from Boones farm was making it. Her sister too from our oily house. So I got curious about what it was. 😊❤
Oh I hope you can taste it soon! But fair warning: purchased is NEVER as good as homemade
I love me some good healthy kombucha! I tried to make my own once and it didn’t turn out so well. Sadly no one else in my home likes it. So it’s just me… I wonder if I can make just enough for me myself and I…
You definitely CAN make just enough kombucha for one person to enjoy! You should check out the amazing bundle of resources available for a few more days... my Kombucha Academy is included!! soulyrested.com/wellness/
I made sweet sun tea several weeks ago & I wanted to see if I could get a Scoby started so I've let it sit & guess what I now have? I
A big beautiful Scoby❣️❣️❣️
It grew all on its own without a starter❣️❣️❣️
You just made sweet tea, let it rest and a Scoby formed by itself?
@@ymrelang yep
It's been about 4 weeks now.
it's fun to see that happen, BUT I wouldn't try to use it to make kombucha. I'd only do that with an actual culture. Your tea captured natural yeast in the air but mold will probably take over before the yeast can make the liquid acidic enough for the mold not to be able to grow. I'm thinking it would be very hard for you to get a naturally occurring kombucha like this.
@@MichelleVisser Why would it be hard to do?
How is a culture made?
Wouldn't mold already have occurred?
This was an experiment at the 2 nd week I almost tossed it. I decided to have a closer look & a taste.
I'm glad I didn't toss it.
@@MCPeciliar while living in Florida I did it too; but, I used an organic kombucha drink I bought from the store to develop a Scoby. It worked and I made many gallons of kombucha through years. Then, I moved to Michigan and tried to do the same. Here is very cold! It’s harder to ferment. However, I do ferment vegetables, water and drinks.
The acidity doesn’t allow harmful bacteria to thrive. KHAM bacteria or mold isn’t harmful (not pretty) and could be removed.
I will try you method. Thanks for sharing.
I have never had this. I drink my ice tea afraid of fermentation. I look at fermentation an think mold scares the heck out of me.
I know it's common to be worried, but once you learn the process you can be totally confident. And it's amazing how good it is for you and your total overall health
