I have a question. Do these companies ask you to install software in your pc in order to do the job? I'm looking for job vacancies and my concern is that they use specialized software for which Windows is mandatory.
@@abrahammartinez3603 that is possible especially for remote work. as to what kind of software, it really depends on the needs of the company so I suggest make sure you are aware of it and maybe ask for other options if possible.
how do you think a data analyst one as your content moderator ? Main platform would be Video gaming but I was rather familiar with the business data than the gaming :(

They are usually from BPO companies too.There are instances that they hire content moderators along with other accounts.

I apply for content moderation job both in BPO and V.A. kaso they give me some exam which I was not familiar at hindi ko alam saan nila hinugot yung tanong na yun. Theres a letter and number on the choices but I don't know kung ano iyon kaya namili na lang ako. Like if there is harrasmanent post will I plug it? If I will plug it which plug is it? I like to review that thing but I cannot research it on the internet

Thats a good question. Could be a senior moderator or a team leader, or move to content strategy perhaps.
I am deeply thankful for this video. I was referred by a friend to apply in a BPO particularly to be a content moderator. I have never imagined that I will enter the BPO industry so that I'm very new to it. So this video really helps me to understand well the job that I'm applying for.

To my understanding the job is based upon those pending procedures when you try to upload a picture or a video and you actually have to wait because content is under review. I think you will submit sample contents that is violating community guidlines like abuse,drug abuse, prostitotion, violence etc. That is not appropriate for the public.

As someone na struggling talaga sa Customer Service in general (sa Email and Back-Office talaga ako may edge), I really want to secure this role. I know na may kaakibat na risk itong content moderation, but maybe because of my personal experiences with social media and the like, feel ko na may edge ako sa content moderation. If only may tumatanggap sa tulad kong kulang sa work exp 😅

Talk about your competencies, and give example for each competence.
Talk about a time when you took initiative.
Talk about an experience when you where creative.
If you are a native english then you will be good. If not you should be able to have a conversation in english because from my experience i think what matters most for them is your ability to talk in english. PS : I applied for the position of content moderator in english

I've seen a lot of video related about being a content moderator and it said that being a content moderator you have to watch different videos like explicit/child pornography, killing and random videos that's not applicable to all end users. 😅

I'm a fresh graduate and I applied for content moderation as my first ever job. I'm still waiting for my onboarding and currently searching what does it take to become a content moderator. I'm somehow used to dark side of different online platforms, well except for violence which I don't really like to watch, so I hope that it could somehow help me through this job. I'm nervous at the same time excited, but I'm well aware of everything you've said ma'am. I just hope that my mental health wouldn't be affected by all of those contents that I'll be seeing.

Please take care of yourself and your mental health. It is very difficult for a psychologically healthy person to deal with some of the dark content that sociopaths, psychopaths, sadists, and malignant narcissists post.
