    Hi NDC. Just wanted to say thanks for your videos, I've recently passed my PCV and CPC tests and along with the great training I got, your videos really helped also. I'm in Northern Ireland and did my test through the streets in Belfast, in a Scania Irizar coach.
    I would like to put these two questions, which was asked at an interview I had a few months ago to see if theres any definite answer.
    1 You are late to your next bus stop. A lady is waiting and when aboard she complains that she has now missed her hospital appointment. What do you do? What would you say to her? How would you handle the situation?
    2 Your doing a school run and a fight breaks out on your bus. What do you do? What do you say? What can you do? How do handle the situation?
    Thanks again for all the advice in your videos

    • @NationalDrivingCentre
      @NationalDrivingCentre  Před rokem

      Thank you so much. The check you would need to carry out first of all is checking the height, weight ,width and length of the vehicle. From there, you we need to make sure you have the correct documentation for yourself, passengers and the vehicle, making sure that internal checks are carried out including cockpit drill and making sure you have sufficient fuel and means of paying for it. And then finally making sure you carry out your daily walk around check and making sure it's recorded appropriately as per the company's Safe System of work (SSOW). Hope this helps Mohammed. Yes, it could be worded in a different way, but this would be the first beginning question. The problem with these module fours is Examiner's do have a tendency to slightly change the wording. 👍👍

    its a joke that even after leaving the e.u the driver cpc is still required,
    i understand the rules for aetr, yes i understand for hgv drivers delivering back and forth from the uk , but for bus drivers who will only be driving in the uk. its just ridiculous ! i will be speaking to my m.p about this.

    • @NationalDrivingCentre
      @NationalDrivingCentre  Před 4 lety

      Hi Dom, yes you need to complete the PCV/Bus CPC separately. That means you have to pass the PCV Case study theory test and then go onto the Module 4 practical described above in this video. But if you need the D category licence too you'll need to do the Multiple choice and Hazard perception as well. All can be answered in the link to our website! www.nationaldrivingcentre.co.uk/what-you-need/

    • @NationalDrivingCentre
      @NationalDrivingCentre  Před 4 lety

      @@Dom-eu4oi Yes. All theory tests, training and practical tests needed for the bus. You need to get the rigid version of the licence first, the entitlement is added when you pass for the +E and then you test for the C+E or D+E whatever it may be! Basically you would need to do a separate test to gain the D+E.
      Hope that helps, NDC

      Hi @@tinyp3021 ! Back then if you did 'generic' modules to do with Cyclists for example, it obviously applies to both Lorries and Buses. So people were doing modules that could apply to both. It was a loop hole that has now changed!

    I have started as a trainee for one of bus company in London. They show me two times what is module 4 about and booked me for an exam for this module on the third day . I don’t feel that I am ready , it’s too early for me as I didn’t have enough time to learn.
    Is it fair in your opinion?

    • @NationalDrivingCentre
      @NationalDrivingCentre  Před 2 měsíci

      No, this is exactly why we made this video. We wanted our students to learn in their own time so that it doesn't eat into the driving time. We also give them a booklet that we made so they could do their revision. We still have a few run throughs, throughout the cause to make sure the content is going in and the student is learning the information well.

    • @NationalDrivingCentre
      @NationalDrivingCentre  Před 3 lety

      Hi Mo, all companies are different. 6 weeks sounds like a bus operator with their own in house training. Usually with 3+ people in the bus every day, therefore you drive less per day than a private training provider like ourselves who will carry out training over a condensed 7 day period where you drive 3 + hours a day without fail! 6 week courses typically you'll get an hour and a half maximum. Hope this helps.
