  • My guest on the podcast today is Peter Park. Peter is the physical trainer of some of the sport's top riders like Chase Sexton, Levi Kitchen and Tom Vialle. While he has some of the best Supercross athletes in the world, he also trains quote-unquote “normal” people out of his gym in Santa Barbra. He has years of experience with athletes from Lance Armstrong to high level CEO’s and has lived an awesome life all following his passion of training and movement.

I love the “philosophy stuff” the other commenter wrote about Jase. It’s far too sterile to pragmatically discuss sports and stats without discussing the deeper meanings to what drives us and the meaning of life as a whole. It’s the seasoning of a conversation about any subject.

Epic interview!! I've been waiting to hear from Chase's trainer. What a brilliant and humble guy. Gypsy Tales push the bar up with this one! Well done Jace👊🏾

I'm so happy to hear someone come on and legitimately defend Kenny instead of making excuses for him or hating on him. Facts are just facts and Kenny has worked his ass off, but he's had one giant hurdle after another the last 6-7yrs. It's crazy impressive that he's still riding and racing, much less at the high level he has been. Dudes an inspiration ✌️

This was a great interview weather you realized it or not you allowed Peter to complete his answers to your questions without talking over him most of the time. I really like and listen to most of these in one sitting but was just about to stop listening because it was frustrating not getting the complete answers to some really good questions so thanks for tweaking the process hopefully it was intentional ❤ can’t wait for what’s next.
    The Gypsy always growing!🙏❤️🗽

Chronic Fatigue Syndrone is very real. It is dysregulation of a a hypersensitive nervous system which most of the time is subsequent to hardcore workaholics maintaining a constant Sympathetic Nervous System state. If you want to learn more about it PolyVagul theory is a great place to start. People use to think that weak minded people suffered from CFS but it turns out almost always it is an industrious and conscientious hard working people that suffer most commonly. I liked seeing you guys touch on this even if briefly. Thanks for the content.

Awesome podcast. Great choice to bring Peter on. The mental talk was very heavy. Really opened my eyes. I’m interested in trying meditation for my life now.

The man he was referring to, Pavel Tsatsouline is a human encyclopedia. I highly recommend listening to his J Rogan episode if you’re interested in the science behind it all. And thanks jase for having Park, Beams and everyone else on that provides us part timers so much knowledge.

Great podcast! It was really cool for me to hear how Peter's facility is ran very similar to how I run mine where he describes it as "a party" because a lot of days it really feels like that when the work day is done.

I just have to say, you do know that Bob Hannah was the really ground zero beast in terms of training for motocross. And then David Bailey and Johnny O’Mara took up the mantle and pushed it even further. Honorable mention to Mark Barnett too.
The athletic demands of motocross was actually recognized early on, in the 1970’s. There were studies done and it was definitely a big part of the sport. Brad Lackey trained HARD. He even wrote a book about with Len Weed. This was all waaaaay before RC.

2:48:30 is resonate with this so much 🤣 This was me in 2011. Sometimes training triathlon up to 40hrs a week and mostly at lactate threshold and above 🤦‍♂️ Amazing I didn’t die. HR monitor was nothing more than a Tachometer in my mind.. and I rode it like a 125!
18 hr is about my peak sweet spot now. Most of it easy as crap and perform better.

Gypsi the GOAT. I think a Tour de France doesn’t compare with motos though. Tour de France is 100% riders ability in terms of power and traction. Less components vs components on motos. Gearing, power, grip on surfaces, suspension set up etc

Peter has some really great insight and wisdom, but it's obvious he's old school bc for some of the younger people nowadays video games is the perfect way to shut their brain off for a bit..... ok granted maybe not with Fortnite or CoD lol, but in general it's a decent way to relax or just kill some free time

I like his attitude about the on the bike training, most people give Aldon credit for his time with Ricky and James and the on the bike stuff, he had No say with RC and on the bike training, RC's mom did that, but Aldon takes credit for it, he also stole Jeanie Carmichael routine, he didn't have any say with James either, he didn't start the on bike stuff until he got RV2, but nobody has ever been able to handle the volume that RC did, Aldon even said that!!!
