What if you have a friend that's been wanting to hang out after a long time?
I used to have a friend that would constantly make plans with me and then she would cancel them after I would tell her I was already there. So one day she made plans with me again and I agreed to go, and I never got ready for it. She had texted me and asked me if I was there yet, I said yeah I am; she then texted me that she couldnât make it, so I let her know that I never even left the house. Our friendship was over after that. Iâve been better off ever since.
She sounds like someone I wouldn't be friends with.

Being too blunt i find is bs would you rather i be honest with you and tell you what i think is best for you or lie to you because its what you want to hear. That would make me a bad friend honesty is the core value of any friendship

Totally! I've been in restaurants where the open mouth chewers got so bad I had to change tables. It's disgusting!
As a kid I was taught not to chew with my mouth open. However the wife of one of my dad's friends did chew with her mouth open quite frequently. When I was about 8, during one meal I told her that she is not supposed to chew with her mouth open. She paused, laughed, and said something to the effect of " He is telling adults not to chew with their mouths open. " I did not think that it was funny at all. Unfortunately none of the other adults at the table backed me up. Double standards are hard to understand when you are a little kid.
Sometimes I have to in order to breathe. (Nose gets so stuffed that I have little choice) If I do it though, I always cover my mouth with a napkin or my hand. Same goes for talking when I eat (bad habit, the people closest to me know I do it though and haven't complained)
If someone doesn't show you that your time is important to them by not being on time they're not a friend.
Just be aware there are people with a mental condition of âtime blindnessâ, while this isnât a majority of course there are people who donât be late on purpose they just literally donât perceive time the same as others and have trouble estimating how long it will take

When a person acts like they're the only one around & doesn't know the concept of being quite = how to annoy me easily. Classic example: @store in line & another person in line with you is on their phone practically yelling the conversation with speaker phone on full blast! Or how about the neighbor who slams doors/ revs their car engine constantly/ hammers into walls at 2am/ sings as loud as possible out of key anytime all the time/ argues with family members outside/ converses with family outside while they're inside....ya, this is what I'm currently experiencing on a daily basis.
I hate it when my neighbor throws a party and I have to sleep early because I have school/ or work for others

#8 is defiantly a trigger for me. For me, I never really get why showing up too early was such a big deal for some people, you can wait in your car or something for a few extra minutes before going in. So when I meet someone who is constantly late, I can't figure out how they think it's expectable. Sure a few minutes is forgivable, but there's a point of no return and they can't seem to understand that.
I am #2. Iâve realized it now though and Iâve told my friends.. âHey Iâm sorry, please let me know if Iâm getting annoyingâ. Iâve also learned to stop myself and say âBut anyways, how are you?â. Stopping and redirecting the conversation back to them makes me feel a little better. But most of my friends say they donât mind đ€·đ»ââïž

Just a reminder that some people who aren't neurotypical will share their similar stories after yours only to prove they relate in some way
Neurodiverse folks get a pass...although others have to know about it first, of course. I have a friend with Asperger's; fortunately he's able to accept it when he's gently reminded that something he may be saying or doing might be awkward or "bad manners" to others. That being said, none if his friends or family will tolerate rudeness from others when he does or says something awkward; fortunately most folks have better manners than that, so it doesn't happen that often.

My sister has misophonia so she typically eats in a different room or has a fan going during dinner and some other things like button clicking or small noises irritate her a lot

The picking up the bowl to drink the soup thing really depends on the restaurant. If you're in a place where everyone is somewhat dressed up, sure struggle with the little utensil. If you're at say a soup plantation, eff off. I'm not being fancy for unlimited salad bar.
I'm known for being blunt and brutally honest. I don't say things to offend people and I don't make fun of others. I don't put others down but if you ask if I like something and I don't, I'll tell you as much but I'm not going volunteer that information until asked directly.

table manner depends on the country, in Japan if you don't make a loud slurping noise when eating noodle, it's disrespectful to the person who made them.
I had a teacher in high school who had bad halitosis and a classmate in college (a much older lady) who used to get my attention by grabbing me by the arm. Not at all bad people, but sometimes unintentionally invasive.

"Mycephonia". Never knew there was a word for it. All I know is my sense of touch, smell, and hearing _(especially the hearing)_ are very hypersensitive. I hate being around other people, but I've learned largely to control my reactions to it when I have to be at work.
"Misophonia"...from the Greek "miso-", meaning "hatred" (like "misogyny"), and "phonia-", meaning "sound."
It'd be nice if these sort of vids spell out new and unusual words on the screen, right? And the only reason I know about this word is that, like you, I can't stand eating with people who have bad table mannersđ€ą

I just broke it off with a girl (a woman who never grew up emotionally) who displays most of these issues. She asked me to take her to dinner once, I always arrive five to ten minutes early. After a half hour she texted saying sheâs be ten more minutes, a half hour later she shows up wearing a giant witch hat looking like the wicked witch of the west. She sits down as if she was on time and actually makes a comment about my shirt. She has no filter and is always negative, and just a total flake. It was such a relief despite my own codependency issues to finally be rid of that walking talking nightmare.
