"Talion held back the forces of darkness for decades"
Sure as fuck felt like it
Eggdrasil Warthog hahaha so true
Pancake Boy That shit took forever
Especially if you lost a region and had to take it back.
Stoinkles McDoinkles When you beat the game and claim all of the regions, Sauron's forces attack your fortresses 20 times. You have to defend each time successfully, or else you have to take the fortress back all over again. After completing the 20 stages, you get this cutscene. It takes a good amount of time, but it's fun enough to not make you annoyed.
i got this cutscene without having to do that though...
Took a few hours sure, but it was alot of fun. I had the hobbit/lotr ost in the background! Loved it
You have earned your rest Talion.
Logan the Krogan seriously!!!
He earned it long before than this... If only that bitch Elthariel hadn't betrayed him, he could've joined them much sooner
@@sharathnavada3645 it was more celebrimbor since he tried to dominate Sauron plus eltariel helped talion in the dlc where u play as her
he deserved to die and now he can know that he had a part in the world of middle earth as its greatest warrior a man could be and one with the willpower to match
Eternity Games only to betray him again and let him die instead of giving her ceoebrimdors ring
Talion was such a badass character that made me sad that he died, and happy when he died at the same time.
It was sad that he died. It was happy because he was finally free
Same here (:)
He was an undead since shadow of mordor.
Why sad though? I felt so happy today he went to his family. Who would want to live in that hell hole of a world. It's basically like hell.
This ending actually has deeper meaning. They make Shadow Wars for that sole purpose. To show that Talion fought so much, over and over again, trying to buy some time. The cutscene even said that he fought for decades, imagine doing that for years, yet still falling to darkness. It was his fate.
Seems like noone seems to get this exact point
It wasn't hard. At all.
it was so easy and VERY fun with Hobbit/LOTR ost in the background, took me a few hours sure, but worth it!
I found this ending made the shadow war very much worth it. Made you feel a taste of what decades felt like for talion and after it was all said and done he finally got to return to his family.. Ending honestly brought a tear to my eye when the music kicked in.
as well as most of the other nazguls tales
He fought too much, and deserved to rest in peace. Tears came down from my eyes when he lay down his swords. Beautiful game, beautiful story.
what mad me hurt is when he dropped his cape which was a gift from his wife and later came Acharn, his sons sword. only to see the flower he gave his wife by his sons sword... that's some strong stuff right there
@@eternitygames6961 he tropped them becouse his was was over. He didn't need sword or cape. He was finaly able to reunion with his family
@@Malachii_186 agreed
2:51 That's the flower he gave to his wife.
Omg thats sad and uplifting somehow
Holy fuckin shit
It's also the flower Carnan grows on her hand when saying something like the cycle of nature (life) is unbroken.
That broken sword is his sons. Perhaps it's a metaphor. For his family 😊
@@raprebel7783 exactly
Beat the game, got the ending, no lootboxes opened at all besides the one they give you. 9/10 game for me. (:
TheGameGoat
Same here
Same here, if I wanted lootboxes I would do some challenges.
My only complaint was that they didn't tell the people that forgey's family was getting all the royalties from the dlc you all remember when the fort hog DLC was out and it was like $5 and everybody complained like a baby but people didn't know was that monolith was handing pretty much all of the royalties of that DLC over to Forgey's family for royalties for his work he made everybody at monolith feel a lot better and he was a good programmer it was the very least they could have done and they did the very best they could but people got up into a bitch fit saying oh they're profiting off of a Dead Man's family when they were doing the opposite
@@giovannicervantes2053 Well they definitely could've planned it better by idk TELLING EVERYONE BEFORE HAND!?
Dark Lord, Bright Lord, same thing really
R.I.P.
Bruz saw the truth
Bruz saw it all man.
Bruz know it from the start.
I saw the exact same comment by you on the other video
"It is a difficult thing, to fall, but much more difficult is to admit it." -Kreia
“Dying is the easy part. Whether at peace or not, the real hero’s are the ones who keep going.”-Oliver Queen
The journey does not end here. Death is just another path, one we must all take. The gray rain curtain of this world rolls back and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. White shores beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise. ~Gandalf
I don't wanted to ruin the moment but men doesn't go to valinor
@@dannyg4835 Perhaps he was allowed as a ringbearer? :/ Not super tolkien lore educated, but just a thought.
@@dannyg4835 i know this game is not cannon but if it was then sauron would of won. he gave the free peoples of middle earth time to gather. had talion not done so middle earth would of fell
Kitt Garmisch That doesn’t sounds so bad, does it?
@@EJAXK13 no . No it doesn't :)
If they make a third installment, I hope Talion will be your Wraith companion instead of Celebrimbor...
Mr Super-Kami Popo actually that is s fukin brilliant idea
Third installment will star Eltariel.
I want to create my own ranger and have talion loyal at my side.
Or they could meet up once again , bury the hatchet become friends again and kick more ass
Talion's gone to Valinor. He's done.
I honestly feel like this was the best way to end the shadow of Mordor series. Like Shelob knew talion wouldn’t win, he would finally turn and join the 9 and become the new nazgul. She knew celebrimbor would fail and Sauron would win this battle. That and it gives us a back ground story of one of the nazgul and a background we all came to know and love which is talion. It’s actually quite sad but a nice end to the story
BennyG Agreed
I know Talion but don't love him... his existence contradicts the lore so I can't love him.
i disagree first because i think there wasn't any need for it to end to begin with and second because there is so much creativity wasted, i would have loved to play as nazgul talion in lord of the rings i would have died to have a face-off against character like gandalf and legolas why must the developers be so afraid of breaking canon?
seriously think about it gandalf reaches the mines of moria and finds a dead balrog then frodo asks him "what could have done that" and he answers "i dont know" then nazgul talion walks up with an army of undead and the boss battle begins against the fellowship of the ring
Nicolas Lopes because if they break canon there’s gonna be a bunch of lore loyalists bitching about it. It’s sad and it keeps the rest of us from having fun
Next game: Shadow of the Shire
Journey to the far west in search of the elusive Mr. Underhill.
Learn more about the nazgul and their innate fear of running waters.
Brand and dominate Tooks and Brandybucks to create your own hobbit communities among the hills of the Shire.
Join forces with the local crime lord, Sharky.
Bindair Dundat Lmao, I could see that actually working. Make your dominated hobbits kill each other and assault regions of the shire
This is actually funny asf
Not really water... But the magic infused with the river and Gandalf's flames on the wave.
Lmao
If they make a third game, It's most likely we will play as Eltariel in pursuit of Celebrimbor. It would make complete sense.. the end trailer reveals Celebrimbor's wraith form fly off past the mountain and elves live a LONGGGGGG time.. not only that but maybe in the third game, we will be able to dominate humans? I mean they added humans to the Nemesis system in the last expansion.
Talion: finally its all over i dont need these swords or armor anymore im walking towards the light..
The light: this light leads you to the expansion
Talion: BY GONDOR *doubles back for all the shit he dropped*
Negative boi haha good game tho
LMAO this deserves to be top comment
The light: this time you'll be stuck in one place with only few followers.
Talion: Well then whats the point of that?
The light: You meet torvin one last time.
Talion: *runs back to gear even faster*
Hahahah good one !!!
Makes little sense since the expansions will still be based in Shadow of War's time period, and the end we seein that cutscene is years later.
Si Talion can indeed die in peace :p
It was a tragic and sad ending considering all the events that took place since Shadow of Mordor. But I guess Talion played his part of containing the armies of Mordor while resisting the darkness and giving men, elves and dwarfs the time they needed before he finally fell. They could've at least shown him being reunited with his wife and son in the afterlife.
It would have been too gladiator like, glad they ommitted that and its an implication
That's the things, his family have moved on without him in the afterlife, this just shows he has earned his peace in death
The broken blade was the symbol of his son and the flower that grow where the sword got stuck was a symbol of his wife. He was letting go of his fighting spirit to join them
@@Dkspardan ah yes! Thanks for telling the symbolism I’m too stupid to realize lol
@@hyhena-gaming9986 no worries took me a while to figure it out
So let me get this straight he kept mordor at bay for YEARS WHILE WARING A RING OF POWER????? Talion is a real hero forget frodo talion did give every thing away heck he gave his own soul away geez
Talion is non canon. He does not exist in Tolkien’s writings. A fictional character made by monolith. Sorry to burst ur bubble. Still an amazing game and incredible story
@@chadsummers7981 Is still a much better character than pretty much the entire Lord of the Rings cast lol.
Subnighter Hawk yeah he held back Sauron for decades while being betrayed and losing his entire family. And this underlined a special thing that is looked over and really ads emotion to the fact that he got the gift of dying. I’m sad to see his journey end. But monoliths next game seems really interesting
@@subnighterhawk1535 I can tell you never read the books
Subnighter Hawk
Guess you haven’t read the books lol
It’s depressing to think Talion fought for decades doing constant war against all of Mordor all while being continually weakened by Isildur’s ring to the point he finally fell fully into the darkness. The man did it to buy all of middle earth enough time to prepare for war and apparently no one in middle earth knows his story fully. He died without becoming a legend in their world (unlike some of the other wraiths and Celibrimbor who was known forever by the elves) He atleast got his rest at the end thanks to him buying enough time for middle earth to fight back
We know his story
This story were not from original tolkiens plot, so there is no way to them know about Talion, which kinda broke us, since on our point of view we know your feeling
There will never be another charecter as tough as or as good as talion in this series.
Yep, and now it all make sense why they name the story of Talion as "Shadow" of Mordor and "Shadow" of War. Shadow has no name, shadow has no face, it just exists doing its things
Is it just me or does it look like Talion lost 40 pounds at the end?
Henry Ulrich noticed that too lol
he went on a diet
He returned to the age when he died the first time with his wife.
A nazgûl don't eat food ^^
He looks younger.... maybe back when he met his wife and had his first-born son. To be honest, I was wanting his wife and son to be there when he walked into the light
Has anyone noticed that it implyies that talion was the one nazgul that got any shit done?
Competence, the greatest power in all of Middle Earth.
Well he was pretty incompetent when he fell under the leadership of the Witchking. Considering the WK's role in the game, this is unsurprising. Pretty shitty leader tbh
@@Darklariktalion lasted longer than anyone before him under the ring. Literal decade's. Over 24 years under it. Yeah, sure. He's sooo incompetent. Smh did you even play the damn game.
This was absolutely beautiful.
I'd like to think that talions wife and his son were watching him in his ultimate struggle and cheered him to fight on
Man gotta make me cry like that...😭😂
At last Talion,it's time to go home.....
Death isnt home wtf
Talion can now die in peace no bringing me back from the dead bs now i can finally see my family
The mission,the nightmares,there finally over
I thought the ending was great. Gives me goosebumps in this scene. The fact that Talion faught for decades knowing that he would indeed fall to the darkness. He knew he would never defeat the dark lord. But he still had enough good in him to keep the dark forces at bay and buy time for middle earth to ready themselves for what was to come. Had he not done this then middle earth would have been caught off guard and surely would have fallen. I wish they would make a movie of Talion and Celembrimbors story or a series. Its so epic
It's tenfolds better than the actual movies too. Id pay every month to support the move to watch talions story come to life in a movie
If WB plan on making a third game. In my opinion I would like to play as yet again Talion when he is apart of the nine
Hazop Gameing YEEEEEEEEESS!!!!
Well you kind of do in the end and there is a mission for taking back Minas Morgul.
I'd like to fuck up some gondorians for their stupidity. HOW DO YOU LOSE MINIS ETHIL TO A FORCE THAT SMALL
Yessssssss good idea
William Dillery No I think I mean when he joined them fully
For me.
This was the most emotional ending to any character i have ever played/known.
And i doubt i will ever go through these emotions again, Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War were absolute masterpieces and i will cherish these games till im old and crusty.
Even after 3 years this still hurts my heart but i am truly happy to have experienced such an amazing game.
Try metro series and find yourself crying like a baby over a charchter
@@shellshock4734 what the hell metro series that's so random
@@kofalofa6648 people just wanna plug their favorite game. Can't blame him the game is fantastic. Kinda like "one legend to another"
This is easily a gow ragnarok or red dead redemption level ending(in terms of emotion)
@@argosaxlawyer31409 Personally i think Shadow of War had a much more emotional ending than GoW ragnarok of Red dead.
Red dead and GoW felt way more scripted and straight forward.
Whereas SoW, you fought and fought even as Talion was corrupted, you still kept going until the cinematic hit and he was finally able to move on and rest, that shit tore me apart.
This story has been one of the only ones that have truly made me cry my damn eyes out and break my heart...
Screw the people who say "iTs nOt FoLlOWinG tHe aCtuAl sTOry, iTS noT cAnoN!" This was an amazing story and i loved it..
RIP Talion ,_,
It took up to a month ago to finally pick up SoM and SoW and just finished them. I choked up a bit at this ending especially when Talion places Dirhael's broken sword down and the same flower that he gave Loreth sprouted next to it.
Lore breaking or not the Shadows games were so damn good IMO that I don't even care. Rest easy Son of Gondor
JRR Tolkien would love this story. He briefly explored the "fight Sauron with the ring and you replace one dark lord for another" plotline in Fellowship of the Ring ffs. He'd be delighted to see that idea fully developed.
Nothing will ever be canon that isn't from the mind of JRR Tolkien. That said, it was a beautifully written side story that wove into the main story in a very minimal way. It's amazing content in the LotR universe and I'm happy to have it. It's earned a place in my headcanon
actually correction. This game is canon. Whoever says otherwise needs to know their facts better
I'd like to think this was a canon situation involving Talion. Sometimes I imagine Talion actually being one of the nine wraiths that were sent to look for Frodo at the Shire 😄
This gets me in my feels every time. I loved Talion and watching him fall to the Nazgul then being freed and granted death was so sad but amazing at the same time.
Talion goes on to join the top 5 rpg characters of all time next to Arthur Morgan
Neither is an RPG character though?
@@Veloziraptor111 well he sort of is since you can choose which sword, dagger and armor you can wear and have skill abilities
@@Black_Swordsman76 I agree it’s kind of rpg because you can train up orcs like pokemon

1:55 So all this time, that NAZGUL from the Lord of the Rings was TALION
Funny that he's the only nazgul that gets anything done, that's so fucking accurate
I like to think that the first Nazgul that we see, in the first movie, when Frodo and others hide under the rock, it's him
This isnt cannon
Jacob Hall I know 😉
I completed the game and watched the first part to me, the game felt like a prequel if it isn't already confirmed by the developers
The cloak of his sins lifted and falls to the earth
The Gauntlets that protects removed in a land of no war
The blade with the souls of those who fell to him lay to rest

Rest In Peace Comrade
You’ve Earned It, Talion.
They should have had him walk past the flowers he gave his wife and he reach down, pick them up and you see his wife off in the distance with his son.
That is what the flower was that bloomed next to his dagger
Why did that make me cry?
Don Granda ikr
Don Granda
Because Talion was betrayed by Celebrimbor and became a Ringwraith and eventually died.
don't feel alone. I cried too
Talion was the one person who wanted to do the right thing. He didn't ask for any of it. He got fucked, fucked some more, then even more before he was finally released. But all along the way he was hellbent on doing the right thing.
Don Granda and the scene at the end.
Is it me, or does Talion look thiner in the ending than he was in the game? As if he lost muscles, even his face looks thin.
Yeah i saw this and thaught "What's wrong with him"
I’m pretty sure that’s how they wanted him to look when he was in the first game and suppose to die
Guanfei One more thing there is a chance that he didn’t die and he used some of the rings power to live on because if all the rings power vanished shouldn’t he die before the eye was gone and not look like a human
Guanfei one might say he looks "thin... like butter spread over too much bread."
He was on a diet living on souls alone
Aren't they making a 3rd installment? I hope they do, I love this series
Domenic M they're making 2 DLCs I doubt they make a 3rd game
The Keeper they made 2 dlcs for shadow of mordor, they made another game i think
Scott Drake they did Lord of the hunt & the bright lord were the ones they made
Domenic M I hope so, it’ll be interesting to say where they take it next now that Talion’s story is over, honestly I just want to see them keep expanding on the Nemesis system in whatever they make next, whether it’s a Tolkien game or not
What if they made a starwars type of game like this! It’d honestly be so lit
Please just let me play as Sauron or the Witch King in the next possible sequel ;_;.
NO! No Sequel!
They’ll likely let us play as Celebrimbor far in the future
Yeah it's just death to talion not death to the bright lord
Ezekyle aren’t Talion and Celebrimbor one?
John Wrot excuse you?!
I swear this ending made me cry. Talion was my Nigga. He was such a good person
I swear.. if this developers doesn't make a Middle Earth World RPG based on Nemesis System..
I want to feel the Middle Earth Environment the way I feel and experience on Witcher 3..
what a waste of time and money i would much rather have a small world with missions that aren't a repetition of others and skills that actually make me doubt which is better
great so now people with the right opinion are now called dicks
only stupid people think opinions are immune to being right and wrong
Nicolas Lopes And you have the authority on deciding what's right or wrong do you?
If I agree with your line of thinking I'd say your opinion is wrong and that you're just as stupid for thinking otherwise.
Btw your original statement was a complete double standard, this game was repetitive as fuck. The only reason I'm here is to watch the end without wasting my life grinding the same fucking siege missions over and over for hours on end.
The Witcher 3's stunning open world with varied quests and fantastically written branching arcs pisses all over this disjointed mess so I'm inclined to agree with the original commenter on how this shit heap of a game should be improved....because he's right in my eyes....y'know IN MY OPINION.
except you do grind the same mission over and over you go kill a monster and return for the reward the only difference is a fucking cutscene at best but you are too dumb to realize that
Middle-Earth: Shadow Of The Nine
This is honestly so good how they ended his story and connecting it with the movies
Wonder what'll Happen to mister bright lord, and can they please let you choose between ring wraith talion and bright lord talion, miss hearing celembrimbor with his suffer me now
Frankie Pollock I miss that to. It's crazy how they didn't record a few lines for Talion' wraith form.
Frankie Pollock i haven't finished the game yet and I'm actually planning not to. I don't wanna lose celebrimbor and have talion become evil and then die.
Ye i kinda agree and the elven rage was fucking awesome too
Talion gets his own lines for shaming and dominating now. New update
Shafik Sayegh Same here. Disappointed to find out you have to lose Celebrimbor. Don't you lose the ring too? I like that ring, it's damn cool
This is hands down one of my favourite games, this scene hurt my heart :')
*TO EVERYONE WHO SAYS THE TRUE ENDING MUST BE EARNED BY BUYING LOOT BOXES* I played through the game without spending a dime. You have to grind a little bit, but not at the point where you have to spend money on this. Remember, you decide if you want to buy loot, the game doesn’t force you to. So to everyone who hasn’t played the game and just jumping on the bandwagon saying it’s shit and payed to win. Fuck off, seriously. Play the game and see for yourself.
BATMAN most of the people talking crap about it haven't even played the game
Just finished the game a mere 10 minutes ago. Never had to spend anything. It's an rpg after all your MENT to grind the game. Don't know why people are bitiching so much. It didn't even take that long.
They aren't complaining on the now, it's later on in the nxt generation. An old saying, "you give them a inch, they'll take a mile". Not hard to figure out when this path been done before in gaming.
It was still a pretty mediocre, repetitive, boring game. I actually liked the first one better.
Cerulean Shaman The first game is the same game with less features so you essentially like a less featured game
this game was AMAZING and very well put together no matter wat the haters say about those loot boxes they prob still play cod and buy those loot boxes
i love this game, but it is very annoying that they hid this ending in act 4 after endless battles in hopes of players get lootboxes with real money, it's very obvious, i wouldn't mind if it was only cosmetic, but they are almost crucial, this shouldn't be in a single player game, period.
Loot Boxes are not essential to play the game. Either way the mirian that can be farmed very easily, is in very high abundances. And any items you didnt want you could then destroy for that mirian. Mirian is used for those loot boxes (if you didnt know) so loot boxes are irrelevant when it comes to the game. And when you do fail a siege or something you learn from those mistakes and get better soldiers from what you can get, i have good orcs and I dont use loot boxes.
James Gould or spend 20,00 on a skin in csgo
DAMN THOSE COD PLAYERS!!!
I knew tailon and celebrimbor would end up being corrupted and becoming what they fought against. If only celebrimbor would have found peace instead! He had the means to seek it but lacked compassion and empathy. As a result he ended up bonding with darkness. For you can't trade evil with evil.
Talion even though his wraith abandoned him, took the ring of the fallen nazghul and used its own power to stay alive and keep the evil forces from taking over everything. Talion could only hold up for so long since he finally succumb to the rings influence and fell into it. He gave the people leading up to the movies of LotR a fighting chance.
Overall I find sympathy for both
Jared McCain talion" 2017
Jared McCain fuck celebrimbor, talion sacrficed himself
Celebrimbor was corrupted by power. In fact, he LIED to Talion in the first game, saying he didn't know who he was, or that he could have released Talion AT ANY TIME.
2:05 when everything is over Finally, and you find Peace after your long long Painful life of an Naz’gul and an Gravewalker Rest In Peace Talion you will not be forgotten for what you did for Middle Earth.
"Is it over??"
no king rules forever
The ending scene makes me want to replay shadow of mordor
WOW. He turned on, but when you see him die (when flying), he actually has HUMAN face
If only u could use the nazgul skin after ending. (The ghostly one)
I think that the reason they didn’t do that is because his soul was bound to his body. When he fell to join the nine, he had no need for his human form anymore.
No the corrupted was better
I played through the game twice and I cried at the end after all the fort sieges. It’s was a fitting end for the bravest gondorian warrior to ever live. And a good man. May you find peace talion of Gondor!
The end was sad, all with the music. I don't know why everyone is complaining about this.
People complaining about some bullshit lore that no one cared about before this master piece of Talion's story
2:36 that smile!
the face of Freedom.
To me, all that mattered was in the end a good man found his peace; a peace that he sought for so long to find, and was denied at every turn.
Pops up on recommended years later-hope your rest is as peaceful as you deserve Talion
one of the best games
So the so called 'connection' to LOTR was basically to jump to the end of RotK and Talion died when a stray rock hit his Fellbeast, like it did to the other Nazgul in the film.
Didn't even get a little scene where he meets his family in the 'afterlife'. So Talion remained a Nazgul until the end of RotK basically.
In fact - 1:55 is actually in the film. Though in the film, that's not Talion because, well, this series is non-canon.
Yeah. That would of been nice.
you know Tolkien wanted people to make more storys and not use lore as a wall make what they want
Long Tang your opinion
Cross gaming, bullshit he hated fan fiction, him and his son hated it when fans would make things up that contradict what he said, sure he supported his fans trying to answer unanswered questions but creating their own version of his works Nah.
Cross gaming, hay this game is the bomb but I do ask why you love this story so much? Canon non canon aside it has some serious problems, characters are introduced and forgotten, or appear are forgotten then reappear randomly, a lot of characters are unresolved what happens to the ring is unanswered.
This game is a true piece of art for me.....having spent like 100 hours in game, I can tell this is what every video game should be like....and then this ending shook me...wish the game never ended....!!
This ending made me cry..I'm so happy he can finally rest.
This ending had me sad but happy to know talion at peace with himself and his family its cool to see one of the 9 nazugls stories and background and how they came to to be 10/10 game
2:07 me after I die, but I'll be throwing backpacks and books on the ground
Killer Dog Yes XD
I just finished the game this afternoon and this ending made me happy for Talion 😄
What I loved about the witch king is he knew that type of burden that tailion is going through and he’s trying to comfort him In a way.
When Tallon died he was 42 he born in the year 2900 and died 2942 mount doom was destroyed in 3019 Tallon was roughly 120 years old 77 years of those was fighting the will of Sauron and keeping his humanity to withstanding so much for so long it makes his passing all the more sad for me I'm glad Tallon finally found his peace
He was that last wraith like how he free islador since he was the one still had his soul he regain his Humanity the longer your a wraith the more your soul is absorbed like witch king said his soul long been lost. Once sauron was defeated his soul was free
I just kept on playing for 4-6 hours straight and got the ending. Don't believe those people who claim that this is hard to get.
This was personally on parr with Arthur's ending from rdr2 my heart literally dropped when an achievement called "peace in death" appeared
Whenever i see the ending it reminds me when Gandalf talked about was after death in Return of the King
What if in the next game Talion comes back and bonds with Hirgon, from the last game, and they go to destroy Calibrimbor and Etariel.
That is the greatest ending I’ve ever seen. The game was awesome and the ending was worthy of a good award
The fact that he held out for so long to by the forces of light time was amazing and the fact that he knows his time his up and that his job is done makes this even more amazing
The music gave the ending a lot more meaning I really like when game devs do this for a game
I've thoroughly enjoyed both games but the thing that really nags me is that over the course of both, we've been following a character in Talion who's biggest wish was to be reunited with his family, that was his ultimate goal and driving force. Now, I'm sure he did, but it would've been great to see it - Almost like the ending of Gladiator; terrific games but just lacked on that one thing.
I mean in the end It shows a flower (the same type of flower he gave to his wife) next to his dagger (his son's broken sword) as he walks off.
Anyone else get chills when shelob says “Death came....death to Sauron..” ?
Came for Shelob too. Still wondering what's up with that blue flash, I'm guessing Celebrimbor is still around.
@@JnEricsonx in end Eltariel`s DLC was says he is escaped and Elthariel agreed come to his call. But nothing else besides this, DLC just end

I loved playing both the games.
Is that Celebrimbors spirit flying behind the mountain at the end???
He's flying back, maybe to make a new ring or find his ring that Sauron cut from his hand (which funny enough, was left on the tower roof after their fight and merge into the Eye)
That is the sequel and/or DLC to this game that you saw there.
Uncle Taj ye
Yes, Celebrimbor’s spirit is released when the ring is destroyed.
And Eltariel is off to hunt him down.
Talion: finally it’s over.....
talion: * flaps arms and flys away*
Talion: I’m starting a new life as a bird
Man playing these games for the first time brings back memories i wont be able to feel again replaying shadow of mordor and shadow of war just isint the same and it brings tears to my eyes knowing that feeling isint going to happen ever again 😢
When I got to that part of the game I got emotional cuz after fighting against his own fate he still got the rest he deserved and he was reunited with his wife and son. This game truly is a work of art.🥺🥺
I would still side with evil talion
I feel like there is some kind of plot twist like he ain’t dead cause look where the rock hit the tail of his drag and he could be using some of the rings power to live?
I loved this ending. It was so sad seeing Talion die slowly. He missed Celebrimbor and its just sad to see his work go to waste. Rest In Peace Talion.
This is a masterpiece I ties in well with dunedain line and ancestors it makes it super emotional
In the scene with Talion walking into the light, he still has pale skin and blue eyes, which were a side effect of Celebrimbor resurrecting and entering his body, despite the fact that he is free from Celebrimbor's influence at this point and is also, well, dead. Originally he was tan and had brown eyes. Not sure if this was a lack of attention to detail or intentional, however.
You noticed that too ? Well is possible for Celebrimbor to fuse again with Talion like we played the first act of game. I hope that this elf-fuck wont do it for Talion's sake.
I wanted to see Frodo's face at the end :(
I just felt so emotional mann..... These guys do good job
Thanks for uploading this. I'm trying to get to that end but defending the fortresses is damn difficult even after they cut down the number of stages/sieges. The scene when Talion falls into the darkness is tragic and heart-wrenching. The Witch-king didn't even need to do anything at this point, the ring did the job-no matter how strong willed a person was and what were his intentions they eventually became enslaved by the its power (while Shadow of War is obviously an AU and not very faithful to the Tolkien's lore to begin with it shows that aspects quite well I think). But that final scene, Talion finally finding peace in death and moving on is truly beautiful and with very nice symbolism. First he leaves his cloak-a symbol of his past duty as the captain at the Black Gate. Armguard/braces-the time when he was a Nazgul with no free will of his own. Dropped sword-the fight is over. The dagger/broken sword is a memory of his son and white blooming flower of his wife.
👍
You know something that just occurred to me. What happened to all the Orcs under Talion's command when he turned?
Somehow I can't see Sauron just welcoming a whole lot of rebels back into his ranks, regardless of whether they were brainwashed into rebelling or not.
Sauron is brainwashed their goddamn commander he can use that massive experienced army like he owns it...
Sauran will just dominate them
so in the end he became the very evil he swore to destroy
YOUR NAME fuck you lady
He delayed Sauron's army for a decade, he is still a hero.
Don't lecture me Obi-wan
jaymon99 Dude... he sacrificed his humanity and soul in order to keep the orcs in a state of war with themselves for decades so they couldn't attack the rest of middle earth until the events of the films take place. Suffering the corruption of the ring trying to eat him away every moment. Don't try and say that's not heroic.
He held back sauron forces from minas morgul for decades. That’s basically act iv shadow war really is.
I was so happy to see the scene where he walks off it was calming
Unsung hero, no one will ever know his sacrifice.
so that why sauron always in eye state never in cool armor again
Idk, the giant flaming eye is never in the books, and he can definitely take physical form whenever
Dog Years wait, really? The eye of Sauron is nonexistent in the books?
That doesn't even make sense. If Sauron could go out anytime, why he never did? That's a pretty big plothole in LoTR.
QWERTY I can imagine that
Hun Lepto I mean he lost his ring, he was very weak. So he stayed in his fortress because it'd be too risky for him to just come out
I have watched people play this but any one who has done this ending can you still play the game or dose it just not let you play as anyone?
The GMSloth Yes, you can still play the game after this ending👍
Cyril Mauricio thank fucking god
There’s something so beautiful about Talion stripping himself of his armor and weapons knowing he doesn’t need them anymore.
When I finished the game, I took a screenshot with that last image, of his sword imbedded in the ground, a vague silhouette of him, engulfed in light. Was my desktop wallpaper for the better part of a year, titled, ‘Talion’s Rest’
This was actually a lot less of a downer ending than I expected it to, well time to grind
So what happened to the king that claimed one of the nine rings of power and became a Nazgul? Did he just tag out for Talion or what? Did he go into Nazgul retirement?
No Talion Killed him when they dominated him and when he was abandoned by Celibrimbor, with Shelob's help he put on that ring
Yeah, as the above guy said.
Isildur was dominated, but Talion freed him (probably because he was once a King of Gondor). Celebrimbor got mardy about it (he was always an annoying character) and left Talion for dead but Shelob helps him get Isildur's ring which makes him have Ringwraith powers/deathlessness again. Cele merged with elf-woman and fought Sauron, almost dominated Sauron but Sauron cut the elf-woman's little finger and ring finger off and that freed Sauron and then Sauron just grabbed Cele and merged with him thus making the Eye of Sauron...
Shōgun So theres no more celebrimbor?Talion died eventually right? After he was hit by the rocks in the volcano eruption...awww man i was hoping for a happy ending like Talion rest in peace with his family😢😢😢😢 hais
He'll find them eventually, I think. Tolkien was deliberately unclear as to what happens to humans after they die
On a certain level, they are reunited due to their deaths. Talion is no longer under the effect of the rings and has died. That's about as good as his ending will get.
And seeing how the dead were raised, I do not think human afterlife is all that great in Tolkien's books. But seeing this ending, I believe this will be the last of Talion. He's done. He's finished. He did his mission and helped Middle Earth, even if he was part of the invasion he tried to hold back.
I felt very sad after all of his character went through to end becoming a Nazgul. NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCK NOOOOOOOO that is a I felt inside.
I finally got this point in the game last night and I gotta say it was such a beautiful ending for the game
