  • VANILLA SPONGE CAKE
    Ingredients:
    (80g) granulated sugar
    (130g) all-purpose flour
    4 Egg yolks
    4 Egg whites
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 tea spoon baking powder
    Instructions:
    Preheat and Prepare:
    Preheat your oven to 356°F (180°C).Grease and flour 6-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer on high speed until the mixture becomes thick, pale, and triples in volume. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes.Add egg yolks and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
    Sift Dry Ingredients:In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder.
    Fold in Dry Ingredients:Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture in batches using a spatula. Be careful not to deflate the batter. Mix until just combined.
    Bake:Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Cool:Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.Serve:Once cooled, you can frost the cake with your favorite frosting or simply dust it with powdered sugar.Enjoy your homemade vanilla sponge cake!
