That’s great Dr! May I know the diet for Kiro throughout the feeding tube phase?

Really enjoyed the video! Was wondering if it was possible for the impact that caused the defect to also cause trauma to other parts of a cat's head in certain circumstances? If it can happen, what do we do during events like that?

Let me quote a paper: Orofacial Manifestations of High-Rise Syndrome in Cats: A Retrospective Study of 84 Cases
      journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/089875641202900103
"Sixty-six percent of cats suffered some degree of orofacial injury."
"Orofacial findings included bilateral epistaxis, hard palate fracture +/− tear of palatal soft tissue, palatal soft tissue bruising, mandibular fracture, mandibular symphyseal separation, tongue injury, facial soft tissue injury, dental trauma, and other oral soft tissue injury."
But palate injury is the most common orofacial injury in my experience.

Interestingly, there can actually be injuries besides the head:
      Feline high-rise syndrome: 119 cases (1998-2001)
      journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1016/j.jfms.2003.07.001
"46.2% of cats had fractured limbs; 38.5% of fractures were of the forelimb, 61.5% of the hindlimb. The tibia was fractured most often (36.4%), followed by the femur (23.6%). 78.6% of femoral fractures were distal."
"Thoracic trauma was diagnosed in 33.6% of cats. Pneumothorax was diagnosed in 20% of cats, and pulmonary contusions in 13.4%."

@@LifeFullofFur Wow thank you so much😁 I've learned a lot more about high rise syndrome today! We really should continue to raise more awareness about this because it seems to be a really pressing issue, especially in a rapidly urbanising world.
