Hi doctor thank you so much for this helpful video..my cat is suffering from cryptococcus fungal infection..I am from India. Here i visited lot of clinics and hospitals for the treatment..but it seems like doctors doesn't have much knowledge about the treatment and complete protocol..i am giving my cat itraconazole , but its not working that much..cat becomes lethargic, having lack of appetite..how to overcome all these complicacies..i want to save my cat..most of the probiotics available in india contains sugar which also promotes the growth of fungus..feeling very helpless.. please reply me in few words..or i request you to share a video regarding how to follow a proper protocol for the treatment of cryptococcus in cats..please help🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for this helpful vdo! We are just having a rescue cat with the same appearance of symptoms all over the body. Our local clinic confirmed a flesh eating bacterial-like fungal infection with a blood and tissue test and started treatment by meds and daily wound cleaning, but we didn't get any more details on that. My biggest concern is transmission of the disease to other cats we have, also to humans, would you know how to deal with that risk?
The risk is generally low as long as the human or cats are not immunocompromised e.g. very young, very old, FELV/FIV.
BUT it is still important to disinfect the environment and maintain normal hygiene.
@@LifeFullofFur thank you very much, we'll keep the desinfection routine then
