- Here's the full performance of Johnny Cash: At The Louisiana Hayride in February(?) of 1962. Confirmed by his statement of his later appearance at Carnegie Hall that year. A wonderful gem we found at The Archives and many more to come. Songs he performed, some new, some old.

BTW - I was at the Carnegie Hall concert in May '62 and Cash was in such bad shape with laryngitis that the recording equipment was unplugged. George Jones was also on that show. Tompall and the Glaser Bros backed up Cash on several songs from his latest L.P. "The Sound of Johnny Cash." Was the first person in his dressing room, thanks to Marshall Grant.. Still have the program from it.
Scan the program and digitalize it. Its value has become immeasurable.

Is that a 12 string guitar that Cash is playing in the photos? Saw him a lot in the early '60's but never saw him use a 12 string.
Those first photos were from a different venue (likely 64/65), not from 62, so that's why you never saw him use THAT particular guitar. However, he did have a 12 string by as early as early 63. It was smaller and had darker shades that can be seen on his Hootenany(film) appearance in 63.
Can you find footage of Johnny from the Newport folk festival in 1969

@@TheLostArchives1 I thought it was your account that had some Opry appearances in 1958 (Big River, I Was There, Guess Things) and 1960 (Going to Memphis, Five Feet)
@@thesoundchekguy they should still be there. They're still up on my end. But ill end up taking them down in a couple months to upload MUCH cleaner versions of the audios and other Opry appearances.
