Im a Dallas hater, but Dirk has one of the best playoff runs Ive ever seen! He seems to be a great guy as well and he's good for Dallas.
Dirk: one of the few NBA players today who NEVER had an actual agent. He himself negotiate his contract to Cuban. That shows how much trust and loyalty he has in Dallas

If Dirk played for a stronger team, he would have won 3-5 championships. Still, winning one championship is amazing. One of the top 5 power forwards of all time. A revolutionary player. Will always enjoy looking back at his career.

Dirk and Mark Cuban’s “special relationship” turned out to be the reason why Dirk stayed in Dallas his entire career. Dirk is basically untouchable, though Cuban expressed regret years later for not keeping the pairing with Steve Nash.
Michael Finley was waived in 2005 offseason using the “amnesty clause” so to keep the Mavs for paying luxury tax as penalty for over the salary cap.
It’s a shame when Cuban needs to lavishly spend (like his early years as owner) so to keep the 2011 Championship team intact, that’s the time he became frugal.
Probably no one in Milwaukee watched Dirk’s speech.
Thankfully the Bucks smarten up a bit by drafting and keeping Giannis.

Dirk is probably not arrogant that season, but the team and Mark Cuban do.
They felt invincible. In a stroke of bad luck to their end, the Warriors clinched the 8th seed by winning the final regular season game then ex-coach Don Nelson exhibited Dirk's weaknesses.
@@OrionOodama Don drafted Dirk and coached him in his early years so he knew how to defend him putting smaller forwards on him like Stephen Jackson Al Harrington and Matt Barnes because Dirk wasn't physical enough to overwhelm them
