If you say "He doesn't deserve it cuz he don't have rings." You have never watched him play. AT ALL
No one says that, AI is easily one of the best despite not having rings
if you say that, you don't know basketball
The rings argument has never won anyways
rings are just things
points assists and everything else is you if you are good player you will be know for that no one talks about Enylegend who never won ring they talk about their real greatness
Nobody ever said that
Allen Iverson doesn't even have a script, just has names so he doesn't forget to mention someone. Speaks from the heart like the passionate player he was, greatest player of all time pound for pound.
You clearly haven’t heard of Tony Snell
@@ringwormboy1575trash
@ringwormboy1575 you clearly haven't heard of Brian Scalabrine.
Bruh Kwame Brown
Yeah let’s just act like Jed Beuchler didn’t exist
Thanking Coach Thompson for saving my life may be the most heartfelt message I have ever heard.
My favorite part
Wow … I’m getting goosebumps hear that…
GETS ME EVERYTIME!!!😢😢😢
even in his speech he is going left-right as if he'll be doing crossover, legend,....
😂 Underrated comment
😂😂😂😂❤
😂😂😂
Lmaooo thanks for the laugh
AI crossed over life and scored.
Youngins please know….This man is the reason your favs wear braids the arm sleeves and tats! He created a wave and was talented asf while doing so!
Kanye west and tupac of basketball and that's a fact
The heat he caught for doing that back then was crazy.
S*** man they tried to change the rules because of Allen they try to make it dress code
He was the answer before they even had the question
He’s the reason why all the NBA players nowadays can wear any clothes they want to a game.
I came back to watch this again in 2023, like if you are with me. The greatest speech ever.
anybody can win a ring but everybody will not be a hall of famer. you did it champ!
Imo its not about rings its about the impact
False. If anyone could win a ring then why didn't Iverson ! He is the answer right ! Guess he got that answer wrong. LOL.
@@bobanderson9715 shut up fool
@@bobanderson9715 no no it's not like that.AI was alone
@@bobanderson9715 congrats. you get the fuckwit of the week award!
Allen Iverson definitely deserved it. you don't have to Get a Ring to be an amazing PLAYER!
Tell that to all the Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller haters.
I know right Lol
don't forget melo LOL
He might not have a ring but to me he is a champion.
i wish AI won at least one ring
Watching this, I'm sitting in here like, "I ain't crying. I'm just chopping up these onions in this dusty room."

HE MADE ALMOST EVERYONE CRY, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU SPEAK THROUGHT A HEART !
Shit I tried to hold it back couldn’t even do that
True
He was never afraid of being vulnerable and people loved him for that. As a teenager watching every game i could on tv my mom would always sit down and watch with me. She fell in love with him and pointed out moments through out his career that his effort , heart, confidence , his ability to be humble were great qualities to emulate. And of course all of us have flaws even our heros.
This is the one speech I rewatch every now and then
SAME
2nd that.
hear hear
Same 😂😂
it’s some real shut
People forget how dominant this dude was, he carried so many dreadful Philly teams to be competitive every year. The “analytics” crowd shames him but you had to be there and watch it for yourself to understand this dudes impact on the game
he was HIM.
If you put him in Miami with the strong infrastructure of the organization he would be carrying teams to the Finals like Jimmy Butler.
So much of a basketball star’s career is dependent on FO and owner decisions
Voice from fan in China: I still remember the moment when I watched my lifetime 1st NBA game with my dad in our living room. That was Philly vs LA final. I didn’t know NBA quite much at that time. But I do remember there was a guy in white jersey fighting his best against the other team. The other team was strong but that guy just never gave up. He was a real fighter. Later in my life there were down times when I just felt like I couldn’t make it. At moment like that I would think of that guy in that final game. AI’s spirit keeps inspiring me. Now I’m 32 yo and have a doctorate degree with a decent job. I love you AI!
Wow
I can relate to dis
💯👏
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
All heart ❤
I'm not much of a basketball fan, but this is one of the realest hall of fame speeches I've ever heard in any sport. Just straight from the heart.
Allen Iverson "Heart over height" he deserves dis💯
iverson , kobe , shaq was the first NBA players that i saw on national tv , i remember when i was a kid i saw you on tv man and i said to my self i want to be like you the braids, sleeves, untuck jersey, headbands. damn miss those days when NBA is so competitive... from Philippines here man we love you AI
This is great to read! I’m glad you got to see those 3 great players of the game at a young age & especially those young faces of the game slowly making a new change to the flow of the game. 🫡🏁 Respect!
he is so grateful that he thanked eveyone including his music idol...
I love how emotional he is...thats growth
As a born and bred New Yorker .. it didn’t matter. There were always those players when they came to the Garden you’d look forward to them. And Iverson was def one of those players who the Garden “loved”. I always heard about this speech but I didn’t think I’d cry 4 separate times listening to it. Like him one of the best ever.
The smallest giant, biggest heart, gave his all on the court, damn man watching his speech reminded me of how great basketball was in late 90's and early 00's, I still have my AI jersey at home with my college year Patrick Ewing jersey and Kevin Garnett throwback rookie year jersey... Cried every second of his speech
This guy went through so much to be in the hall of fame is as good as a ring. He is a true champion.
10:40 is the part about mj for anyone wondering
Thank you
His mother has such a beautiful smile. It's the kind of smile you only see on people that are full of life.
I loved his speech to his wife...she deserved it because she went thru a lot with him
SOO MUCH
There's something about Iverson that drew me to watch his full speech...damn
That’s a humble man right there ... that speech was from the heart. Well deserved honor ... Iverson was the man inside that court
Glad that Big John lived long enough to see his guy make it in.
he is doing crossovers even during his hall of fame speech, simply a legend.
Growing up in camden as a youngin right by philly. This dude was our Jordan man. So much heart and skill.
He’s a real one and is a good father and loves his family 💯
The most real hof speech. Congratulations A.I.
He stayed real from the beginning until the end. Definitely deserves his place among the greatest that ever played this game. He ain't the GOAT but he had the biggest heart. Thanks for your contribution Allen Iverson, we will remember you for the next decades =)
Imagine if he actually did the right things and took care of himself....he maybe would of been the goat...he was hungover most games and eating chicken fingers and mozo sticks every night that's not even a joke
@@TheAlphamale215 He doesn't like to go practices but maaan, he's a killer
Hes one of the goats...
@@TheAlphamale215How do you know?
The passion in him so so palpable. I’m not an emotional guy at all, but his speech gets me to my core, especially his message to coach Thompson and his wife at the end.
You can feel the goodness from
His heart through his words. God bless you Al
At his height this is the greatest guard I have seen play period.
Wow! That was a heartfelt speech. I'm glad he was able to turn his life around.
He acts like a fool at the casinos… rude as hell , pisses his pants cuz he’s too lazy to go to the bathroom , never tips , him and his buddies are rude
@@BeenDeliveredTodayhe does not piss his pants stop the bs
@@BeenDeliveredToday whyd your bitchass ever come here if u a hater go watch whoever u care about bitch
@beenDeliverdedToday nah you right,we should judge him by 1 mistake. 😂 you think anyone is gonna believe you let alone decide they hate a legend cause you said he pissed his pants and you think he’s rude and doesn’t share his money with workers after he pays for stuff oh and his friends are also rude. 😂 😂 😂
I’ve watched Allen’s speech over and over again. Like he said even though football 🏈 was his first love, he had enough talent to exceed at basketball 🏀 as well. A lot of our mom’s can always see something deep in us that we didn’t even know we had. Allen had and still does have a lot of fans. But he kept it real saying he also had a lot of haters and doubters as well that didn’t want him to succeed. Congrats 🎊🍾🎉 Allen you deserve to be a NBA Hall of Famer!!!! 🏀🏀🏀🏀
The player I've always tried to craft my game after.
One of the most emotional speeches to date... Beautiful and so heartfelt. 🏀💕
Still one of the best hall of fame speeches ever!!!!!
those who don't remember this guy was a scoring machine... he led the league in scoring a couple times
Allen Iverson was always very vulnerable and thats what won the hearts of Philly fans. Iverson created an atmosphere at Wells Fargo center that didn't exist before him or after him. Truly a special player and person who i think always tried to be his absolute best. Admitting when he was wrong , he was extremely relatable and honestly a good role model when i was a teenager.
Allen Iverson I is such a humble honest brother.
it's a shame he had to retire so early but yet still a legend
AI retired at 36. Kobe retired at 37
I just love IVERSON ❤ what a REAL MAN ‼️💯
It makes me smile so much when I see people get to this point and all they can do is give thanks and credit to everyone who loved and supported them along the way. At the end of the day we're here for Allen. But he knows the whole story of the people who helped him to get there. Sometimes talent isn't enough. You need to have people in your corner who love and support you. And everytime we see an athlete like this they have that. And they should give thanks because not everyone in the world has that.
I heard a saying. The graveyard is filled with potential. But Allen Iverson didn't die or throw it away. He used it. And to this day he inspires me. He's the Answer.
Well said.
Bawling my eyes out....fuuuuccckkk!!! Who in your memory gave a more better, heartfelt speech? I can't think of any....from any sport. He was the mfkn Answer!
Nothing like a mother's love.
The best and worst of people have been influenced by their mothers.
You can say that again
count how many times he says "love". beautiful speech
It wasn't enough that his play got him to Hall of Fame. His speech would make the Hall of Fame of the most hearfelt speeches. I love you AI, you inspired all my childhood and I didn't even know how beautiful of a human you were then
This nigga done shouted out the whole league 😂
lol
Um.....
From Philippines.......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 The killer cross over ever....MVP...,..😊😊😊
I can't watch this without crying 😥😥😥😥
pound for pound The greatest player in the history of the game.
Straight G. Always keepin it 100
My all time favorite athlete. I love you Al
Who remembers that commercial Iverson did a with Jadakiss lol
One of the best
Humble!!!! Ssooo humble. And so family oriented... a real model... my 3 heroes,, mj, Ai, and kobe..
I always thought Allen Iverson is smart, but the dude is surrounded by people who really love him, they really help with a lot, dude is open heart it's natural that he is loved.
AI is a real one, a living legend without a ring. "Thanks to my coach for saving my life,"
My forever all time favorite! I always cry watching this and miss you soooo much!!
Hard to imagine anyone that deserves it more, what a legendary talent and heart. Amazing how humble and full of love for the game he has.
R.I.P. COACH THOMPSON!
Thank you Iverson for everything you did
I’m a hard nosed 50 year old guy, and I have watched his speech 3-4 times and tear up every time. His passion is palpable, just like he played. Love this guy!
Um....it's just basketball and he is a stranger. Get a grip
Beautiful moment, beautiful speech, what a legend!
Genuinely one of the most underappreciated talents to ever play the game. I've been fortunate enough to attend my fair share of professional sporting events, and none more entertaining than watching Allen play in Philadelphia. The guy was brilliant.
A.I. an icon on and off the court....
Allen Iverson is the only person that can make Shaq cry
I have loved AI since his first season in Philly. He’s just completely speaking from his heart here and you can definitely see that he absolutely positively means everything that he’s saying.
No, Allen.
Thank YOU!!
Best little man to ever play the game philly gon miss u A.I

Thanks to all those who liked my A.I comment that came from my heart 💓 so I'm glad it went to you all!😉
From the Bay area to Barcelona Spain cause he was my role model too and not only inspire black kids to play hoops cause Im spanish and I did and do his moves and shakes too. Salute Bro from BCN!!!!
My hats off to you Sir Iverson👍
Legend solidified truly a classy fellow followed him since Georgetown days and pretty much grew up with AI there will never be another a true GOAT and a real one
Never has a speech made me tear up so much. Thank Iverson. You spoke from your heart. Much love from Nigeria.
my favorite player of all time! I wish I could shake his hand and thank him
My favourite player, always!
I'm so proud of proud of Iverson he for the people
At 10.40.. He speaks of. Jordan.. Truely from his heart❤.... His air Jordan reference. Pure from heart..
Everything he said came from a place of love....he truly loved and appreciated the people in his life ❤
Straight heart on and off the court.
The league should be glad A.I. wasn't 6'4 180. Cause even at 5'10 150 this man had more heart, drive, and ruthlessness then some teams had on their entire roster.
Iverson had no fear of anyone. I remember countless games of him driving to the rack and getting absolutely beat the hell down but would get right back up and do it again and again.
If this man played in the league today he would dominate just like he did in his time.
MJ is the G.O.A.T. but Allen "The Answer" Iverson was and always be my favorite player.
Love you A.I.
I will always love Allen Iverson❤️❤️❤️❤️I still have you poster on my wall and I’m 60 years old 😂😂😂
We will love you forever, Iverson.
The absolute best HOF speach hands down
