Becky is an absolute inspiration and we were so lucky to have her in San Antonio as a player and as a coach. I really hope she comes back one day to take over for Pop when he decides to finish his coaching career.

I'm the type of person that never wants to bother a star for their arthe graph. But when I saw Becky Hammond in San Antonio. It was raining and and she had just gotten into her SUV. And I went over and knocked on her window and she kind of gave me a double look. I guess to see if it was save. Because she and offered me to get in her passenger side to get an autograph from hor and she took her time In allowing me to think of what I would want her to write in my autograph. That was a very special moment.
For me, I was ecstatic. She took the job to play in San Antonio To play for the silver Stars. I showed extreme gratitude.
And her smile Along wis wrong with her grace fullness trusting A total Stranger to get out of the rain Just to give me an autograph showed the extreme size of her heart And to this day, I still tell that story. Thank you, Becky, for being part of the San Antonio family...........
Very underrated player.....I hope one day she acheives her dream in coaching in the NBA.

She still lives in Texas as does her kids n lover. She occasionally cameos on a spurs TV game.

Basketball is big here in the Philippines despite of our small sizes and I remember during my teenage years having a crush on Becky Hammon when the women's basketball league was still good and the ode of it was the early years of the league.

I’m a spurs fan I had no idea that she played for our girls team. But that’s probably because I’ve never watched a single stars game. She seems like an awesome person.

Oh yeah I remember her. She's coach that made a discriminatory remark about a female player getting pregnant and was suspended. Kind of makes you wonder if it was jealousy or something else? Hmmmm...
Spurs should seriously consider retiring her jersey. N yes when Coach Pop is gone she should b in top of list as the next head coach.

@@unsolicitedditkapics9722 she had her jersey retired, but since Stars moved to Las Vegas the jersey no longer in SA just saying they should at least consider it as well as Alvin Robertson jersey. N just 4 record she won the Spurs summer league championship N was praised by all the young cats she coaches inc DeJounte Murray. The only reason she not Spurs head coach is bc pop's wife died N thus he had change of life plans. If not 4 Becky da WNBA b even less irrelevant.
