At least he’s honest lol
Today the NBA is business
D wade and LeBron were DBs.. is what it is
@@tacotom3492what do you mean by db’s?
@@TonySiragusa99 I believe the scientific term he is referring to is "douchebags" lol
@@kylerdudley9634 😂😂😂😂
D wade felt that in his spirit 😭
He knew him and LeBron messed up by making fun of dirk for missing a game because of illness which lit a fire under dirk and he pretty much single handedly knocked Miami out the playoffs and went on to win that championship.
That's a bad German!!👍👍
😂
@@TheLinkremmyMiami gave the game away, stop that.
@@timhoward5Oh holy hell - so it wasn't Dirk & the Mavs killing them after that, seriously!? For all those years, I guess I was wrong...
Man crazy that these guys were all rivals and are now in the hof together 😂I have the fondest memories of watching you guys compete. Thank you
Crazy how dirk mentioned pop in his speech. Just shows the level of respect these guys have for the man even if he never even coached them
Stole the words right out of my mouth!!
You said it all with the "THANK YOU" to those guys.!
Quando la Nba aveva un senso e aveva rispetto
All these guys pushed each other, either conscious or sub conscious, they forced each other to elevate their games beyond only being skill based!
That’s old school competition right off the bat, “I didn’t always like you guys” lol
Honest , but respectful 😊
Gonggong who u ka..didn't like u also...
nowadays they're all best friends, trying to join each others' teams
@@BleachCowboy2016 It makes things a lot more boring
Spurs fan here, Dirk is a legend and I got nothing but love and respect for him.
Mavs fan here I feel the same way about Tim, Tony, and especially Manu, and now we got Luka and Wemby going at it 😁
@@JuanAlvarez-ty6yi I do miss the good ole rivalry days. Dirk vs Timmy
@@joelv92 yea that was awesome never hated on the Spurs but y'all took too many rings from us 😂
@@JuanAlvarez-ty6yi it was a friendly rivalry. I miss those battles
Mavs Spurs was *the* rivalry of the 2000s
The flash to pop beaming with excitement. Never seen him so happy.
😂 stop... he's just trying not to get a technical
@@n_-_- Tony Brothers bout to drop down from the rafters and T Pop up
Absolutely giddy
That’s why Pop is the greatest, he always carries himself with class and shows respect to the game and the people who play it
Tanking works.
@TheCrackHouse2023 dude has only missed the playoffs like 3 times in his career as a coach
Stop this self-righteous stance you kids have goodness! What makes someone the greatess is WINS, RINGS, AND DOMINANCE over the COMPETITION! Not this snooty attitude or "class" as you call it. Goodness you kids and your bourgeoisie politics stay being delusional.
He's a political bigot. But he's a great coach.
Pop is not an attention seeker, and he gives his players all the credit. Respect.
Well deserved Dirk 💙🤍
2011 Champs greatest playoff run ever, I still watch it back untill this day. DM4L
Payback for the way they got robbed in '06! I'm hoping they can pull it off again this year too! 🙏🏼
MFFL!!
Same! Have it on VHS
@@F4billionyearzag0 They will
It was legendary I just wish Kobe was healthy that series. Beat tough Portland team, KD & LBJ & Kobe arguably top 3 players in 1 playoff run.
Dirk was at his peak unstoppable
2011 playoff dirk is top ten peak of all time imo he was legitimately the best player on the planet during those playoffs in a league with a prime lebron

Man Pop so inspirational
@@topgunsamcasual.
@@topgunsam you realize even with the last handful of years of this rebuild in SA that Pop still has the most wins out of every single coach ever in the league? all you casuals can cry about him being overrated but he’s got the stats to back his resume, Pop’s legit & now everybody’s mad he’s got another young piece to lead another potential dynasty.
@@topgunsamhe's the most winningest coach ever and pretty much all the players and coaches /trainers and even film guys have learned from pop. Pop has shaped the NBAs future for a very long time to come. I'd bet 50 percent of the workers in the NBA have learned from pop and will use his tactics. Steve Kerr already has when he had two of the greatest 3 point shooters ever. Made them play team ball similar to pops coaching style boom they're champions for a minute then get KD. Pops legacy goes far beyond 5 rings with the Spurs. Causals just don't know it.
@topgunsam you know nothing and it shows.
@@topgunsam OH I THOUGHT YOU SAID UNDERRATED. Yeah u def a casual my bad y’all for agreeing with this guy
Nothing but respect for these GOATs man. Really made watching hoops as a kid so fun.
Dirk top 25 all time, he did legendary things, helped change the way the game was played for a big, and won by himself!
fact
I agree with everything but the by his self part basketball is a team sport and DIRK ain't play too much D on anyone ijs
Stop the bs. No one wins by themselves in team sports.
He clearly meant without any other Superstar players..
@@aaronwatson7133^
One of Dallass’ legends, true legend. This man literally gave up big money cause he just wanted teammates who could help him achieve greatness. Sure just one championship win but man Dirk will forever be loved in the city of Dallas. Thank you Dirk!🫡
He had to fight monsters in the west! That why his one champions mean so much.
For sure, the west was murderers row, usually western Conference finals were the true NBA finals.. In the 00s
Can’t believe my eyes. You were my idol, my role model… You gave me some of the greatest memories a fan can ask for. I really wish we could still see you day to day dirk:/
I’ve been a Dirk fan when Don Nelson was the coach. Those Texas rivalries between San Antonio and Dallas was a real thing.
Pop is a national treasure. True class, true professional all the way around.
Stop calling people national treasures and get over your idol worship
Unless he's being interviewed by the Media. He was consistently a rude, classless dick to so many Media members during in-game and post-game pressers. There was no reason for it. Those people were just doing their jobs. Let's face it, it's just basketball they're covering, not world politics or science. There simply aren't that many intellectually compelling questions to ask about men playing a basketball game. Any time Pop didn't like a question, he was curt, condescending, and outright rude to whoever asked it. Oddly, no one called him out on this crappy behavior. Everyone just gave the man a pass. I'll never know why. I'm glad his team has sucked for many years now, because he doesn't have the ability to get away with such awful behavior.
That finals series was magical
To me Pop is the greatest NBA coach of all time. Hes GOLD on and off the field. Still lives modestly. Humble and a great coach.
That's a flattering haircut for Dirk
Handsome!
@@DSPHistoricalSociety It is.
dirk was a unique special person in the NBA had very much class & respectful individual forever grateful to have watched him 🙏
Probably the most respectful HOF speech ever.
I don't know one kid who didn't try to shoot like dirk when I was a kid. Core memories!!! ❤
Fall-away 1 legger shots?
Some elite European players in this class... 00's is still my favorite era of basketball. Thank you tim duncan, dirk, and allen iverson for getting me into basketball.
that's because you missed out on the 90's, nonetheless still an amazing era
@@combodad2235 favorite =/= best. I was born in 96 so I had no chance. Anyways even if I had watched it I still think I would enjoy the 2000s more. As a Sixers fan us making the finals was an amazing experience even though I was only like 5 lol. We haven't ever been there since
@genesisosuna I loved that Sixers team, the answer was my favorite player at the time as well. Everything but the chip was fun to watch as I'm sure you've seen it. I was born in 81, so the 90's was what I got to enjoy the most. The Knicks had some great teams, but Jordan denied Ewing and the Knicks at least a championship or two like he did to so many others. When we did make the finals in 94 (no MJ) we lost in 7 to the Rockets. The 2000's were great because of guys like Kobe, Iverson, Shaq, Vince Carter and the 2001 Knicks had a he'll of a run
@@combodad2235i was around for both. 2000s had more talent and game was still physical and more athletic with deeper rosters. Game changed for worse when curry made the changes with 3 ball becoming dominant and no contact flopping era was born as everyone went to launching 3s lol
90s were worse than 00s and 80s@@combodad2235 read what the guy above me said
my number 1 NBA player
What a HOF class!
Wemby prolly watched this and is going work his ass off for Spurs and Pop.
Pop just thinking about plays fo wemby lol
Nah he was close 2 tears lmao
Thank you for the memories guys
Regardless of what team you liked there was no deying the greatness of all these men. This is one of the best / most deserved HOF classes in a long time
Dirk also had a great coach, never give up for his ambition.(win NBAtitle)
We all know the real score between Dirk and Wade… and that’s 2 championships each.
Dirk has one ring
Dirk only has one bro but it was probably the most legendary playoff run in the last 30 years. Swept kobe and his nba champs, beat heat, entire playoff run was mad
@@matm6916 dirk didn’t do anything , the MAVERICKS did that

LEGENDARY
Dirk is class.
Their Era of the NBA will always be the best in my opinion
Spurs are CLASS. From a Dallas fan
That is how it is supposed to be when you compete with everything you have, especially at the professional level.
You aren't there to make friends, and be homies. You're there to compete.
When everyone retires, then it's time to be cool, and maybe have a friendship.
Ya know, Magic and Bird style.
There was always appreciation of your guys greatness.
I’ll bet Pop wished he had Dirk on his team. It beats playing against him
Dirk is my GOAT!! HIS LEGACY IS AMAZING!
Salute to you Sir, one of the all time greats, appreciate your performances!
Glad to see Dirk getting his flowers 💐 legend. And Pop stayed true to the game and made hall of famers and champions 🏆 respect to the great coach
Is it just me or was everything better back in the early 2000s?? Even sports

Dirk looks great honestly
Top 10 all time. To go to two championships with the kind of teams the Mavs had back then is amazing.
Pop is always getting respect from GOATS!
Dirk is the greatest. I'm glad I got to watch his career as a Mavs fan. His humility and loyalty are rare traits of modern athletes. So glad he never went to play for anyone else despite the endless offers and opportunities.
Nothing but respect from a great full spurs fan dirk
Amazing, such a legend,love
*They already did the Hall of Fame?!? Wow!*
The key words are "didn't always" it means an initial dislike that gradually transitioned into fond appreciation. That's normal among competitors. They did push each other to greatness.
We watched the video
Dirk was class all the way. Great player year after year.
To anyone who didn’t follow Spurs’ basketball, Dirk was referencing the tribute the Spurs did at home the last time he was playing there. A great video showing his best plays against the Spurs in all the hard fought battles they had over the years.
Great player with great character 👍 & 👍 !!
Pop is like a God father in nba
There is one Who i have the most respect for and that is coach pop.
Those were the great days 🏀🏀
Dirk could have said, “Pau, Tony, D-Wade (cough…COUGH)…”
Dirk an pop are the two basketball legends I have to meet sad I didn’t get to meet Kobe
Being honest is the best thing you can do in life so DN was so honest when he said that about this 3 HOFamers..
A great era of basketball

A handwritten note always means a lot. Love it.
Legend Dirk and legend Pop.
There will never be another one like Dirk.

Great great ball player👍
DIRK NOWITZKI IS THE HEAD OF THIS CLASS OF HALL OF FAMERS! 🏀🏆🔥⭐️
He had that fad away jumper where he would block you with his knee was unstoppable. I'm a die-hard Spurs fan and always had he utmost respect for Dirk.
❤❤ Love you Dirk 👍🏽🏀💯
Became a Dirk fan and a Mavs fan since 2011. That year was really something. Jimmy and the Heat almost made that same run this 2023 but fell short with Denver.
One of a true Hero when greatness first more than a money
I was in Las Vegas during Dallas Mavericks Championship run...i won $15k betting series after series with them.....Dirk and the Mavericks took down a lot of Hall Of Famers during that run.
Dirk respect those guys. They have a back and forth rivalry between Pau, Dwade, Tony against Dirk.
Pau: european supremacy in olympics or in fiba euro
Tony: as a spurs core, mavs and spurs has a heated rivalry in the playoffs and spurs always the wall that Dirk can't surpass in early 2000s
Dwade: heat and mavs finals. Dwade beat mavs for the title in 2006 and mocking Dirk when he was sick in the finals
This is such an awesome HOF class.
Spurs, Mavs, Popovich, Nowitzki...
Pure quality once upon a time...
A great coach isn’t just a coach
Class act
love this guy
On the hardcourt they are all fierce competitor but outside they all respect each other.❤😂
Love this great guy.
Dirk , first drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks before being traded to Dallas for Robert Traylor .

Pop a real one
Dirk had to be careful with what he said about Wade. He didn't want him going to the freethrow line yet again.
Under appreciated it.
Would’ve been badass to see Dirk play with the spurs. Him with Duncan, Parker, and ginobili on the court would’ve been unstoppable.
Dirk literally stopped Kobes second 3 peat by himself fr fr fr absolutely ridiculous shot maker and taker and was extremely smart and dedicated
