"Why's there a spacesuit for Pan?"
Bulma, back on Earth before the space journey started: "Now if my experience has taught me anything, something stupid's going to happen, might as well cover all my bases..."
Yeah makes sense.
Capsuletech lets you get away with for just about anything without really wasting appreaciable storage space or mass.
So a spacesuit for everyone she knows can fit in the same closet as enough portable houses to build a town while giving everyone a private submarine.
I was literally about to say this.
Maybe it was for Krillin originally
It could be like Saiyan armour too. Stretchable, Breathable and fits all sizes and most body types. So long as you dry clean only.
GUYS. WE KNOW THAT JUSTIN CHATWIN PLAYED GOKU AND JAMES MARSTERS PLAYED PICCOLO IN DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION. NIES JUST CHOSE A RANDOM DB EVOLUTION PICTURE IN THAT MOMENT.
Is that what people are upset about? I'm a bit bummed we didn't see yours and Lani's reaction to the deer scene? lol
I figured. No worries 🙂
@@mrjweezy64tbh same, it was super pervy for like absolutely no reason, it made literally no sense especially when i became an adult, shocked they didn't say anything at all.
Goku's bloodthirsty because he turned back into a kid. This is the boy that slaughtered a red ribbon army base.
Kid goku had no chill. Just murdered everyone in his way
Let's also not forget his reasoning in the English dub. "We can't let you go, because you spared no one, not even the children..!"
Sure because all previous enemies like Frieza, Imperfect Cell and Super Buff Majin Buu were all merciful in sparing children before this point. 🤷♂️
I do like their idea that, Goku has no problem against killing a Parasitic creature, but it is kind of hilarious how, as a kid, Goku killed so many people without hesitation, then he only kills TWO people as an adult in all of Z, and now he's a kid in GT and it's almost like, "Oh yeah. I forgot how killing my enemies was so much fun!" 😂 😂
Gevo? Oh.. the Model of 16. I think he died from enemy fire long some time before Goku killed the RRA. Or during King Piccolo's reign.
The Kamehameha being used as a frickin jet propulser goes back all the way to OG Dragon Ball. Goku used it that way against Tien, against Demon King Piccolo… probably a few other times I’m forgetting.
Can't forget the feet-based Kamehameha against Piccolo Jr in the finals of the 23rd tournament!
Goku did it during his fight with Frieza.
Except they're too busy complaining about GT to remember things that have already happened, so it's stupid here I guess
I'm 70% sure he also used it during the Z filler on the way to Namek to push the ship away from the sun.
Remember the time Goku shot a kamehameha from his feet?
"Cell mixed with Buu but its own thing"
>FighterZ Producers: "Write that down, write that down!"
>Intern: "Sir, we need something new! What if we also made it... a waifu!"

They did Buu Bits, perhaps GT Bits?
@@ImInLoveWithBulla I'd kill for gt bits
My head cannon is that Rildo was just so sad that Giru was leaving him, he just accepted his fate
Personally I assumed that the showing baby inside was showing baby killing and absorbing rildo's power
@@jobhunter5090 Yeah, that's most likely the thing that actually happened. Probably also doing a "hey, that guy that is stronger than Buu, yeah baby absorbed him, he's the REAL threat"
But I prefer the Rildo/Giru bromance
@@MatthewCSnow Actually it does also maybe explain why Rilldo didn't defend. Baby hadn't figured out how all his powers worked yet.
Classic Lani randomly getting anger for a second.
Normally, it'd be ten seconds.
I'm glad that he found a way to shorten that time-span.
perfect for vegeta and piccolo dub
Its the vegeta in him
Glad this series showed us how Rilldo wouldve been written in a GT abridged
Oh yeah, Rildo wanting to be best buddies obsessing over Giru after all of his abuse would've been a perfect way to use him in an Abridged series.
Taka would totally be Rilldo haha
2:33 "why's it her size???"
Krillin
I think the whole Vegeta shaves and no one notices thing was funny, especially when he gets embarrassed
Vegeta and Bulla's dynamic is the only thing I like about GT and it's an absolute crime that there wasn't more domestic Vegeta
@@leezard7696 Bulla was absolutely the best thing to happen to Vegeta. Something about having a daughter right as he's starting to consider mellowing out just...fits.
@@leezard7696Second biggest crime is Vegeta's haircut. Yikes.
when talking about the spacesuit and why it fits Pan, the obvious head-cannon for me is that its a Capsule Corp suit. A company that specializes in making big thing fit into tiny thing. Plus Bulma made copies of the frieza force armor that fits any size. Bulma made suits that fan fit anyone
Spare goku suit
@@dartoneyThat would make sense. She'd know to pack a few dozen of those.
@@kylethecherry-nosesanalite1723 Yeah, this ship probably has like 50 space suits.... in kid Goku size alone.
I love how Baby simply _HAS_ to make his hosts make the most evil shit-eating grins possible when stealing their bodies, lol. 😂
Fun Fact: I'm like 80% sure that the scene where Baby escapes through the spaceport using the form of a rotund woman is a reference to the movie adaptation Total Recall, where Arnold Schwarzenegger uses the form of a large woman to sneak past security, and it's very similar overall (though Arnold notably fails in his attempt since his disguise breaks down before he's through).
I thought it was a JoJo reference in which Yellow Temperance takes on a similar disguise.
@@TailsClock It could be a referenceception, depending on when the Jojo bit took place. Total Recall was 1990, the scene discussed here is from 1996 IIRC, so if it happened between those dates it could indeed be a Jojo reference.

Plus, possessing Vegeta.
@jamescallanan2443 baby vegeta does have one of my favorite forms super baby 1 ( shoulder spikes). which I'm pretty sure Kaiser will shit on it😂
on the other hand all those villains are great so baby being a fusion of them just means he gets someof their greatness too

5:30 goku used it to propel himself into the air constantly in OGDB, he used it with his feet when fighting piccilo for that reason
That's how he literally killed piccolo and defeated mercenary taw I'm confused some times when they talk but I just fill in the gaps :D
Another fun fact about the Kame Hame Ha: When fighting Piccolo jr, Goku fired one with his FEET. That kind of thing is never to be seen again, for some reason.
Yeah, but it didn‘t look like that, really.
yea i was about to say this. he used it MID AIR against Tien in the 22nd Tournament to launch himself like a rocket.

I just saw the goku tien fight a gain, he used the kamehameha to launch himself into tien.

The way I understand baby is that he can "clone" himself, so if he takes over someone and injures someone he can infect them without transferring bodies, which explains why he's inside rild after leaving the planet, plus it explains what happens next.
overall baby is a good villain, he really is.
Oh yeah, it's confusing because it's the FIRST time you see Baby in more than one place. LATER it's obvious that he's actually in several places at once. Yeah GT borrows almost as much from OG DB as it does from DBZ. In that context Pan's character makes more sense as she's not a polished character, she's brash and impulsive.. and that's not really a good thing.
@@marhawkman303 pan was designed to be a " maiden in distress" for GT unfortunately, dbs, end of Z and heroes actually show her being a badass, I wish GT did her differently. As for baby..... Yeah it's confusing at first and it takes ages for us to get the confirmation that he can clone himself via infecting others

Dr. Fakeo: "What do you mean you installed rocket launchers for internal security on our spacecraft?!"
Dr. Nochin: "Well I just thought we needed *some* sort of security on this ship..."
Dr. Fakeo: "A security system that can destroy the ship!?"

Dr. Fakeo: "How will that help?!"
Dr. Nochin: "Well - they won't get far."
Dr. Fakeo: "And we won't get our ship back either!"
The team DID say the robots were malfunctioning, so it could just be a war robot that wasn't *meant* to be used on the ship... Like the robot was just on board the ship being transported to it's destination, not a built-in security feature.
Oh who am I kidding, this is GT. They didn't think that far ahead.
LOL, love the Futurama reference with "Scootypuff Jr.", that was great and worked so well with what they were actually using.
10:55 That’s wasn’t James Marsters. That’s Justin Chatwin who played Goku in dragonball evolution. James Marsters played Piccolo in evolution and voices Zamasu in the English dub of super. He was famously Spike on Buffy the vampire slayer. He’s a massive dragonball fan.
Marsters is also the only reason Piccolo is even green in the movie.
@@icebergmm Jesus that doesn’t surprise me. Evolution is genuinely insulting to dragonball fans AND casual movie viewers.
Think I can explain the paradox. So in a previous episode with "Baby" ( I hate that name for a villain), he showed the one star ball after he caved Myuu's head in. Fast forward, it looks like Pan is holding the same one star dragonball. It's possible Baby set the distress signal by going from the ship he's in, to the ship where the boy is at and infected him to lure the GT crew, and left a copy of himself in Rildo possibly much earlier since he technically masterminded M2. Baby can leave an "egg" of itself as he bounces from host to host.
Baby probably should've renamed itself after growing strong enough to infect Saiyans. Something fruit related to call back to his Tuffle origins. "Ripen" maybe.

AND THAT BABY'S STILL GREEN"
Even though Baby being Rildo never made any sense to me either given that he was already on Myuus spaceship I feel like they tacked it on in an attempt to make the reveal that Baby was part of the young boy a bigger surprise. Perhaps in their minds they thought that it would legitimately surprise people if the reveal came after us seeing Baby seemingly stuck on the planet that he debuted on behind our heroes because it would have been seemingly impossible for him to be ahead of them?... However that's the issue... It was a bit too impossible.. Him being back on the planet causes far too many plot holes than if they had simply just skipped that brief moment out.
Bebi can posses multiple people
Only took 20+ episodes, but GT starts getting good now.

I believe in the English dub, they describe his initial absorption abilities as, he's pretty much eating them from the inside out. Because there were at least 2 lines that were VERY implicit about him viewing everyone as food.
iirc, Baby's possession works almost exactly like a scouter. He could've easily kept control of Trunks' body regardless of if he was in his ssj form or not, the problem was that he couldn't deal with the sudden spike of energy from the transformation, which is why he'd later change his strategy and wait until Goten, Gohan, and Vegeta fully power up before going for their bodies

I like Kaiser getting an iced coffee in all these reviews. Something about that is so gosh darn endearing I hope it continues.
Wonder if the audio got corrupted and nile (i think that's his voice) had to dub the ad quickly
Either it got corrupted or they did it for a joke, honestly at this point it could be either or
I think it's a joke relating to the fact they lost the audio for this episode and had to use the camera audio...

Headcanon: Space minutes are a lot longer than Earth minutes. Freeza and Giru were right about the time they said.
The Kamehameha propulsion thing happened in OG dragon Ball when they were trying to escape general blue and also the foot Kamehameha happened. I feel like it's always had propulsion powers
Youre forgetting the most memorable one, he used it to propel himself into the air to punch a hole through King Piccolo

I love the shot at 22:42 because the scales are all ten forms of effed up. Valese is an absolute Amazon, and Marron is apparently 6, judging from her next to Bulla, who suddenly switched from my 4’8” pocket-sized waifu to a solid 5’7”, based on Goten and Gohan.
as soon as you were talking about how you were looking forward to them escaping Rildo last episode I was waiting for y'alls reaction to him getting whip guy'd
5:20 just want to point out that they have shown the Kamehameha doing things like that as far back as original Dragonball. That's not a gt thing
Im surprised they didn't talk about the deer pan scene lol
Neither did Tottalynotmark, I'm guessing they didn't feel comfortable talking about a scene that's for all intents and purposes, sexual assault on a minor, even if its (weirdly) played as a joke. Japan be weird about little girls.
When I was a kid my dad bought me two GT VHS tapes from Dollar General. The first one had the episodes featured in this GTFS. The second one weirdly had episodes from SS4 Goku vs Golden Ape Baby. They were packaged together which is why I found that weird.
A lot of other people said this already, but I don't think Goku using Kamehameha as a way to propel himself into the air is that weird.
Like some people said he used it several times in OG Dragon Ball and Master Roshi in FighterZ even uses it as boost to throw himself up in the air since he can't fly.
Nothing really wrong with that.
Old Krillin looks like he demands pictures of that damned menace, Spiderman.
The Scootypuff jr. reference killed me. 😂
Caught me too 😆😂
4:28 he’s been calling her Pawn this entire time just in order to differentiate for this one joke. He’s been planning it for years.
my head canon is that baby split himself into two body and then the baby that was left on the planet just died and the main baby gets all the info from the clone that he left behind and lost the ability or just doesn't use it anymore.
edit: I just realized goku before the wish was still 7 years younger than what he should be.
About the Kamehameha, tbf Goku already used it for a boost in the original Dragon Ball in his fight against Piccolo. He even used it with his feet instead of his hands.
Rilldo was infected by Baby’s virus, and was artificially limited and forced to suicide by Goku’s team blast.
Baby has a much better arc than Rilldo and Myuu, but his introduction is extremely rocky with how he hijacks their arc. Maybe the infected Rilldo could help Baby make his way across the Galaxy to assimilate everyone? It would be a great head start for him.
Yo, did you know? That the Kamehameha was always used to propel...
If you didn't know, the commenters will remind you...specifically of the feet one.
I remember someone mentioning how the kamehameha doesn't move goku unless he wants it to and over the course of dragonball it is shown to work that way. The foot kamehameha for propulsion in og dragonball being a great example of it. If I recall correctly he beams the ground on namek to get away from frieza's blasts. So, while we can fault GT for a lot of things, they're technically consistent with the usage of kamehameha for momentum.
the way i believe GT explains Baby's body hopping is that he can only take complete control when they are at their strongest, because as we see with Trunks he took him over, but once Trunks went Super Saiyan his power level was overloading Baby and forced him out because he couldn't control him anymore. this is why Baby needed to amass more power and took over Goten, Gohan, and Vegeta once he got them all to go Super Saiyan
I just want to say, as a fellow 80s baby, I never watched GT. I was all about Z, but by the time GT was kind of a thing, I was on to new things and didn't hear good things about GT anyway. I even watched OG dragon ball for the first time in the 2010s, but still ignored GT. I am really enjoying getting the cliff-notes version without having to actually suffer through the series for the few tasty nuggets. Thank you for your insight into this series!
Love you guys!! Thank you so much for doing this!! Look forward to these videos every Saturday!!
To be fair about Goku's frequent use of the Kamehameha as a propulsion system, it's done a lot in OG Dragon Ball too. Between Jackie Chun using it to save himself from a ring-out in the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai, to Goku using the Foot Kamehameha to rocket himself up at Piccolo during the 23rd. So there's examples set in the canon material.
Baby starts out surprisingly creepy.
Why did the editor put up the live action actor for Goku when talking about James Marsters? Marsters played Piccolo in that movie.
The Kamehameha being used as propulsion goes back to OG Dragon Ball, Goku stopped himself from ringing out once I think, or maybe it was Jackie Chun, he flew into Tien with it, he flew at King Piccolo with it one-handedly, the Kamehameha from the feet to hide that he can fly, even Goten did it against Trunks on the ground to change his direction right before he lost in the 25th tourney

Baby on board
I mean Goku has used Kamehameha based propulsion for years. He did it in OG DB when he fired one out of his FOOT, he did it in DBZ filler and I'm reasonably sure we saw Blast based propulsion in Super to avoid falling off the stage once or twice during the ToP (but that might just be me misremembering).
Im pretty sure your right i don't know what they were going on about
2:35 I hate to say it, but the name tag having Pan's name actually raises more questions, as opposed to the space suit that fits Pan:
The reason for this is because we know Bulma studied the Saiyan battle armor, which we know was capable of adjusting to become form-fitting (or at least certain models were, especially the ones that Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta brought back with them from Namek). So it's only logical that she could have reverse engineered the battle armor and then modified the space suits with similar tech.
"How did Baby get there first? Eh, nevermind. It doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me, it doesn't bother me, it bothers me, it bothers me a lot!"
When Bebi combusted into spores he laid eggs.
To be fair to them, the part of the complexity of the Kamehameha is that it's a very adaptable technique. Like YuYuhakoshi's spirit wave technique. We've seen Goku use them as delayed energy blasts and energy boosts from his feet.
I always thought it was strange that when baby first attacks trunks he says something along the lines of doctor why?! Instead of something like how?
I mean at this point almost no one in existence should be able to hurt trunks at all.
If I was in that situation id be more surprised someone could do it more than i would be that they were willing to do it.
Incase no one says it. The dub line for baby in one of these episodes are "Surprise Surprise baby on board" which not in the sub but its really funny and fitting
Kamehameha has been used as propulsion for goku since dragon ball, you don't need to make an exception for gt, it's always worked that way.
