The Battle of Montgomery: a Civil War battle in Wales.

As the Wars of the Three Kingdoms progressed, King Charles was losing ground to Parliament. Most of Wales had been nominally loyal to the King. The Roundheads were determined to open up a route into mid and North Wales. It was to lead to a bloody battle.

Hello. You've put a lot of 'what-ifs' in there. :) Speculation about the 'what-might-have'beens' is sometimes interesting, but I prefer to stick to what did happen -- or at least probably occurred. Thanks for commenting.
