- In the early 1300s a short but brutal war ripped through south Wales and parts of England. The trigger was a dispute over land in Glamorganshire. The man whose name was given to the war, Hugh le Despenser, was an avaricious and cruel noble. This is the story of that conflict.

Odd how we have streets named after the Despensers in Cardiff, considering their history. Not the best people to commemorate in the Capital of Wales. Thanks for the video.
