      @TheAustrianAnimations87 Před rokem +26

Well, in both situations Austria just gets stupidly blamed for things it really couldn't do so much.
Poland: With Frederick the Great surviving the Seven Years' War and Poland's army being small & weak, Poland's downfall seemed to be inevitable. Austria actually initially opposed to join the Polish partitions, but had no other choice, as it would disrupt the balance of Europe and make Austria weaker. If Austria stayed neutral, the Poles would be still angry at us for doing nothing. Austria also wasn't ready to fight a war against Prussia & Russia at the same time. Also, Austria proposed an independent Poland in the Congress of Vienna, but Prussia & Russia rejected the offer. Austrian rule was the most popular for Poles with the smallest & least brutal uprisings overall. Russian emperors always favored Prussia when it came to oppressing Poles, especially when Austria condemned Russia's actions the 1863 Polish uprising. In 1867 the Poles got their full rights and autonomy by Austria-Hungary.
Russia: Austria was neither obligated or ready to help Russia in the Crimean War. The Holy Alliance's purpose was to stop revolutions, not to help other countries in major wars. When Russia saved Austria from Hungary, it was a revolution. But the Crimean War was a war of Russian expansion of the dying Ottoman Empire. Austria wasn't ready either, the country was still recovering from the Italian & Hungarian revolutions. If Austria had helped Russia, the Hungarians would've revolted again and the Franco-Sardinians would've invaded Lombardy. Not to mention the Anglo-French blockade in the Adriatic Sea and another Balkan Front. Austria's goal was simply to restore the balance of Europe, and while they did achieve that, Russia felt betrayed and France & Britain thought Austria didn't help enough. This left Austria isolated.

Is a scene in Lord of the Rings, when Gandalf come with reinforcements and they saved Helmets Deep after a glorious charge. But, that is a fiction and Helmets Deep was just one small shelter fortress for 300 soldiers and refuges. The Battle of Vienna, in 1683, was European reality and it was a treat from Ottoman Empire to taken and occupied big part of Middle Europa. That could be beginning of the huge christian crisis and potential European tragedy. So, Jan III Sobieski was doing the same like Gandalf in a fiction story, but with 10 000 Winged Hussars and he saved Vienna, Holly German Roman Empire, Habsburg lands and European brilliant future, in 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century. Many my European people who are Christians like me and the same race like me do not recognize that so crucial and important historical and political fact. That is that polish Winged Hussars saved Europa in that time. Hurrah for King Jan III Sobieski and polish Winged Hussars. They were the best Knights in that time in Europa and on the all battlefields.

When the German armies invaded Poland in 1939, the Ambassador of Hitler’s Germany [in Turkey] at the time, Franz Von Papen, demanded the building of Poland’s diplomatic mission [including a nice garden] to be put into his service, just like Czechoslovakia’s diplomatic mission building, which was 150 meters away from the Polish Embassy. The President of the period, Ismet Pasha [İnönü] rejected this demand and gave the following response :
"We have a traditional friendship with Poland. In the past, at the time of Poland’s partition, Turkey waited for Polish envoy’s arrival for 150 years. Now, for a short period of time, I can not disappoint our Polish friends, and Turkey will never fulfill this demand of yours..
    "
Thus, during the World War II years, von Papen had to continue seeing the Polish flag from the window of his residence, and on Aug. 17, 1945, Turkey declared its recognition of the new Polish government.

This movie is a bit over-colored but the historical fact is that mercenaries in European armies in the 17th century joining Russia, Sweden or other armies had caviats in their "contracts" that they would fight anyone but refuse to fight Polish-Lithuanian winged hussars. The winged hussars were unbeaten for long indeed, haven't lost a battle in over a hundred years. Unfortunately, saving Vienna was the last great victory of that unique best ever heavy cavalry.

Additionally, consider how difficult it would be for film crews to build artillery pieces that actually fired solid shot, then the health and safety aspect, as CGI would cost a lot more than a few explosive charges buried in the ground. Whilst I agree it is annoying, imagine how difficult and expensive it would be to create the effect of a canon ball bouncing along the ground and cutting several soldiers in half. You guys do not know anything. The reason why Ottoman siege was not successful is because there was another war to Ottoman Empire has to go.So they did not send their huge amount of troops. The reason why Great Ottoman Empire went to Vienna was Hungary ask for help from Ottoman Empire. They said Vienna is killing us torture us so they ask help from Ottoman Empire. That is why Great Ottoman Empire went there. They just want to show Vienna that you can not acting bad to our allies that we are protecting. If Ottoman Empire want to really conquer Vienna they would have easily done it.There was not even an Emperor in the charge of the army. There was just a commander in charge of the Ottoman army.So Ottoman Empire was having couple of wars at that time that is why they send their little amount of troops and armies and Emperor was not with them.Vienna did not go out from the city walls so Ottoman Empire could not succeed. And the commander in charge of that failure had been executed in İstanbul.Anyway Great Ottoman Empire won a lot of war conquer half of the world of course there should be failures this is normal. You guys can seek out the truth about this siege. No Emperor in charge of and little amount of troops and armies and not strong reason to conquer the Vienna those are the main reasons why Vienna did not destroyed.

And sorry about the partitions, but Austria had no other choice as Russia and Prussia were still too strong combined, and we only joined to keep the balance of Europe. Our chancellor Metternich also tried his best to restore the 1780s Polish borders in 1815, but Russia and Prussia rejected this, nearly went to war with Austria (see Polish-Saxon Crisis) and only accepted a semi-autonomous Polish state. But at least Poles enjoyed autonomy later in Austria-Hungary, unlike in Prussia/Germany and especially Russia. Speaking of Russia, it's good that you guys are heavily investing your military to deter the Russian imperialist aggressors who invaded Ukraine and used to oppress your people for centuries.

@@__-mg4rg Russia already violated Poland's semi-autonomy in 1819 by using heavy censorship and the the abolition of Freemasonry 2 years later. It even got worse when Tsar Nicholas I continued to limit the independence of the Polish Kingdom after refusing to respect the 1815 Polish constitution. This led to the Polish organizing the November Uprising, which ended in a Russian victory. After that, the Russians deported many Poles to Siberia, plus Polish language and culture was constantly discriminated. Polish books were burned, churches were destroyed, and priests were murdered. There was barely any education in the Polish language, and publications in Polish were few. The Russian army also liked to rape Polish women (especially Jewish ones, since Russia was the most antisemetic country in the 19th century). Russian basically became the official language in Poland from 1867.
In Austria's case meanwhile, prior 1848/1867, Austria demanded its ethnic minorities to speak German only for higher education and political administration. But the Austrians didn't make a massive effort to completely wipe out Polish language and culture. Austrians and Poles were both Catholic, unlike the Orthodox Russians. It wasn't forbidden to speak Polish in the public. The Austrian government also never forcibly deported Poles to other regions, unlike Prussia and Russia, and it didn't encourage antisemitic pogroms. Aside from poverty in Galicia, the worst thing Austria did was putting down the Galician Peasant Uprising of 1846, but even then the Polish peasants were still loyal to Austria and it was just the nobles who revolted. But in 1867 the Poles got full autonomy and the Austrians left the Poles in control for Galicia.
The Polish people still had the most positive relationship with Austria out of the three occupants.

Respect from Turkey! 🇹🇷🇵🇱 Unfortunately, this war prepared the end of Poland. Because Europeans always saw Poland as a buffer state against Ottomans. No Ottoman threats means no need for Poland. Even tough after partition of Poland by Austria, Prussia and Russia; Ottoman Empire always recognized Poland. It is documented that in every annual invitation of all ambassadors, our grand vizier asks them, “Where is your Polish colleague? I couldn’t see him today!” and it is narrated that Sultan asks the grand vizier where the Poland ambassador is when he accepted other ambassadors and every time vizier answers in a tone of voice that every European ambassadors can hear, “He is on the way! He is just late because of some difficulties on the road.” This lasts 127 years!
It is also known that after 1848, Poles failed uprising against Russia, Ottoman Empire took refugees that are made up of Polish and Hungarian nobles and officers and refused to turn them to Russia at the risk of messing up international relations with Russia. It happened so. After negotiations that is lasted for years, Russia is accepted this with the aid of England and France.
After Hitler invade Poland, the German ambassador wants Poland embassy building according to Anschluss agreement like Czechoslovakia embassy building which is given before. However, his wish is rejected by our prime minister Ismet Pasha who said “We have a traditional friendship with Poland. In past, those days when Poland is partitioned, Turkey is waited for a Poland ambassador for 150 years. I can’t get down our Poland friends for a short time now. Turkey won’t indulge your wish by no manner of means!”
So German ambassador, Von Paper, had to watch the Poland flag, which can be seen easily from his office, all along WW2.
I believe we shared the same destiny with Poland, so I feel very close to them. Peace out! ✌️

OVER HALF OF THE OTTOMAN ARMY WERE NOT EVEN TURKS OR MUSLIM BUT CHRISTIANS, MOSTLY PROTESTANT AND ORTHODOX CHRISTIANS WHO WERE PERSECUTED BY THE CATHOLIC OF AUSTRIA AND HUNGARY. MANY PRINCES OF PROTESTANT FAITH ACTUALLY ASKED FOR HELP FROM THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE AT THAT TIME TO PROTECT THEM. PRINCES OF WALLACHIA, TRANSYLVANIA AND MOLDAVIA HATED THE AUSTRIAN SO THEY JOIN THE OTTOMAN SIDE AND WAS ACTUALLY ON THE BATTLE FIELD WITH MUSTAFA. THE SERBIAN ARMY AT THIS TIME ALSO SERVED UNDER THE OTTOMAN BANNERS AND THEY ARE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN. KARA MUSTAFA HIMSELF WAS NOT A TURK BUT AN ALBANIAN. MOST OF THE JANISSARY ON THE OTTOMAN ARMY WERE SERBIAN, GREEK, BOSNIAN AND SLAVIC MUSLIM. THE OTTOMAN DOESN'T LIKE THE ARABS, NORTH AFRICAN AND PERSIAN MUSLIM AND DIDN'T TRUST THEM, SO THEY ONLY TOOK EUROPEAN MEN IN THEIR ARMY AND GOVERNMENTAL OFFICIALS, EVEN THEIR VIZIER WERE MOSTLY GREEK.THE ARABS AND PERSIAN HATED THE OTTOMAN FOR THEIR DISCRIMINATION AGAINST NON EUROPEAN MUSLIMS. ON THE POLISH SIDE ABOUT A QUARTER OF THE CALVARY WERE TARTAR MUSLIMS WHO WORK FOR THE POLISH CROWN. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER EUROPEAN NATION BICKERING AND FIGHTING FOR LAND, WEALTH AND POWER RATHER THAN A CLASHED OF CIVILIZATION OR RELIGION. It should be noted that the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa (and indeed, the rest of the Habsburg state) very strongly opposed the partitions, and in the end they only agreed to obtain a piece of land because the statesman Kaunitz saw that Poland-Lithuania was doomed anyway so the Austrians might as well take a piece. The Polish territory that Austria took, known as Galicia, was granted virtual autonomy within the Habsburg Empire, and at one point a group of Polish peasants even put down an attempt by some noblemen to restore the Commonwealth because the peasants preferred being under Habsburg rule (ironically, the Austrians ended up having to send an army into Galicia to keep the peasants from massacring the noblemen)

Turks were the most honourable of all enemies we have fought with. They respected us for our fighting prowess and were the only country that did not accept the partitions of Poland. At one point Kemal Mustafa Ataturk played a Polish anthem to Russian ambassadors and ordered them to stand up. He always kept an empty table for the envoys of Lechistan (Poland). Turkey allowed our artists, generals and refugees to flee to their country after we have been destroyed by the people whom we've saved not more than 100 years earlier. Thank you to all proud Turks for taking care of Adampol and our Christian graveyards there. It shows more respect than we have ever received from any of our neighbours or from Western Europe.
You will never be slandered by our people. From Poland.

The Tatar Turks left the backlines and cover and left their positions, so the main army was attacked from behind when they besieged the coty. and the europeans were not just poles fighting against Ottoman empire. There was a alliance of 7 nations. it was 1 vs 7 ...and look at every single war between europe and turks, you will see that in every single battle, the christians did hide behind the walls.
