How to Fix DOTA 2 Unable to Connect After Match Accepted [Simple Method]

- Are you experiencing failing to ready up even after accepting the match and then failing to connect? This issue results in a penalty time and happens repeatedly.
I have a simple solution to fix this connection issue very easily. I assume that this issue is related to the device's hardware limitations, particularly the RAM, hard drive, or graphics card. If you're experiencing similar issues and have low-end hardware, that might be the cause. My simple method will help you bypass and fix this connection issue, but upgrading your device would be good if you are looking for a long-term solution.

I believe the main reason for this issue is that the game now consumes more resources and our device may fail to load all the game assets before the game starts. Making an "OFFLINE match" can help to preload game assets and that might help to connect online matches.

I started playing again during 7.36a, couldn't get a match at all with "Valve Anti-Cheat was not able to verify your machine is secure".
Then came 7.36b, I could enter matchmaking, but this failed to connect and increasing time penalty thing happened. Tried your method here back then, it still happened at random. But after a while, it got better, I could play a few match relatively smoothly.
Then came 7.36c, this thing got worse. In the last two days I only got two successful matchmakes, only two games. And it stutter more than before during 7.6b. And in game, I experience input lag, something that never happened before.
In your case, I feel you have the same issue as mine. It seems your device can't handle the game anymore. I can suggest a few things to try as a temporary solution.
1. "Verify Integrity of Game Files" using Steam settings.
2. If have SSD, then move the game files to there.
3. Free up your hard drive if you are running out of space.
4. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
5. Set all the game graphic settings to be very low.
6. Close all the unnecessary background apps before opening the game.
Also, you mention that you got a "Vale Anti Cheat" error. Usually, these errors do not come without reason. I recommend cleaning your PC with a proper Anti-virus program. Also, do not use uncommon in-game overlay apps or any kind of crack or patching programs. If you feel your PC is infected, format your whole PC. I hope may help you.

Still cant work...
After new patch... dota 2 always stuck so long after accept find match until i got dc penalty (2 minutes, 14 minutes until a hour).
But..
-When i used main account, really cant enter the game after acept until got penalty.
-Then i try used low bracket i can enter smoothly like nothing happen.

Yes, it's true that Dota now behaves very strangely. I recently bought an Asus TUF A16 RTX 4060 and all my issues have disappeared. Now the game works like a charm. 😁
i watch someone game before match, but it need to be done before finding match. i hope there another way to make the UI lower

Is it need to do that once per match, or just once and then i can keep playing continuously.
You only have to do it once when you open the game. But if you close the game, you have to do it again.

it doesn't work for me last time i played was yesterday. it was working fine yesterday but now i couldn't reach the countdown limit in connecting to the server. i also played bot matches and my computer works just fine

5. Don't use in-game overlay apps (fps, rec, etc..)
6. If you have anti-virus program in pc, turn on gaming mod or pause it when you play.
But as a long-term solution, I think a device upgrade is the most effective.
@@HashanDeZoysa I've tried resetting my computer and it's all fixed now. Seems that some apps were making my computer overheat that's why it happened. Thanks anyway

Here I have some problem with Directx 11, after 7.36 update. My game always ran smoothly, but after this update, everything ruined. I solved the problem changing to Vulkan. With Directx it takes almost 30 seconds to start a game (demo hero for example), and with Vulkan it only takes about 8 seconds.

Didnt work for me sadly specs are 2200g amd radeon with builtin gpu 4 core 4 threads 8gb ram and m.2 ssd the slow one

That's strange. You can try "Verify Integrity of Game Files" via Steam client. Also, you can try to install the game on the SSD drive. make sure you have a stable internet connection. If all these fail, I think you may have to think about upgrading your device.

man we got the exact same laptop spec, but my nvidia gpu already artifact which is now i use intel hd for my graphic, i guess we should really consider to buy a newest laptop lol

@@xd_alireza6630 whats the specs of your computer? you can try this method with the lowest graphics settings. it reduces the memory allocation. Also if you have an SSD drive, you can install the game files into SSD.
@@xd_alireza6630 I didn't use DNS for gaming. If you have an unstable network DNS can be helpful.
