I absolutely adored this video, I love learning about your culture and learning about the differences between your dialect and official Norwegian is so interesting. The way you described it really resonated with me, I am from Scotland and I think that my dialect is seen as very harsh, and we have a lot of our own specific words that others do not understand in the rest of the UK. The word itj is a sound that we also have in my dialect that a lot of English speakers struggle to say lol! I also loved the book that you had the words on, it was so beautiful. ❤️ Thank you for the shout out! ❤️
Thank you so much
@@norwAySMR I love Norse mythology, the artwork was absolutely stunning :o Have you considered doing a video at some point on your other channel about Norway, your hometown and your thoughts on everything like that?
@@Mairivel Not really... I don't really know what I would talk about! There's probably hundreds of videos about that already, so it just seems redundant. I have the vlog from my hometown coming up soon though!
@@norwAySMR I will be looking forward to that! yay
loved this video! i'm from Spain but studying Swedish so I really like anything related to Scandinavian languages, and specially Norwegian dialects! crazy how some of them have nothing to do with standard norwegian (and so different from Swedish!). not only informative but also super relaxing, well done!
Please make more videos like this! It was very interesting, informative and calming :)
You caught me entirely by surprise! Educational ASMR is a definite yes, and I'm loving your accent, the delicate 'k' with some tingle at the end.
Good job on this video, can't wait to see more! :)
Thank you so much
This is easily one of my favorite asmr videos on CZcams. I loved the soft speaking, the language aspect (I'm learning Norwegian), the mythical book, the lighting, the way the words were presented within the book. But the thing I loved the most, by far, was how you outline the shapes on the page with the wand while speaking. It's so simple but really effective. I'd love to see some more picture tracing like this. So many tingles!
Thank you so much! I can definitely incorporate more tracing later on :)
I’m from England and I am learning Swedish, I can actually understand written Norwegian partially, which I find it really interesting. Your pronunciation is so Finnish! Love from England
Very similar languages indeed! Thanks for watching :)
This video is amazing!! I love this language!! Thanks for make me feel asmr ❤️
Norwegian ASMR. I didn't know I needed this in my life!! ❤
This was extremely relaxing but extremely educative 😍 Finding your channel was a blessing
How sweet! Thanks for being here :)
Please make more videos like this. It’s so calming!
Vær så snill! Make another video like this. It was amazing 😍
This is her best ASMR video. Real art of the human voice.
This is beautiful, so interesting and your voice is incredibly soothing.
Your pronounciation is so Finnish. Awww.
That's so cool! I didn't know you had your own word for it :)
Tusen takk! and thanks for subscribing :)
This felt so intimate and cozy. There's nothing I love more than laying warm in my bed with my LED candles flickering (fire safety) and feeling as if I move through time and space, and am right by your side in Norway.
That's so sweet
You have such a gentle voice and it really helps me relax 😌
Thank you so much! New video coming tomorrow where I read about Scandinavian folklore :)
Can't wait :)
Fær sounds similar to how in English we tell someone to fare well or farewell. Love how related our languages are. Even Icelandic calls a journey a Ferð. Your dialect seems to be much closer to old Norse than Bokmål.
Bra jobba 👍
I've been trying ASMR from different European nations. Very cool to find one from Norway! I'm from Seattle in the United States. My grandmother was from Norway and I've always wanted to visit it.
That's awesome! You should definitely visit :)
I love this
Mesmerising
Beautiful language, country and people. Would love to be there! Love from UK :)
i’m building an constructed language based off Norwegian because I am world building and i’m so glad i could find an ASMR to learn different dialects and just Norwegian in general.
Wow, that sounds complicated! Good luck!
hows that going
My dad is from Levanger and I grew up in the Netherlands. I'm finally learning norwegian, and I especially want to learn the trøndersk dialect so that I can understand my grandpa ahahaha it sounds so different from all my family and friends in Oslo and Bergen!
Haha, it really is! Dialects are really hard, so I wish you good luck
yessss another trønder
Mine is also trøndersk. I found out that I can't understand Norwegian people from Bergen. Found out that when my cousins tried to speak to me, I just went "Hæ?" all the time. My mom thought it was funny though.
I am so sad about your loss of Trøndelag words.
I appreciate your postings and will try to donate. (The PayPal didn’t work on my phone so I will try with a different browser.)
You’re very kind to introduce us to Norsk, language as well as literature and other cultural factors. Like many others whose parents or besteforeldre come from Norge, I am helped to learn Norwegian by hearing you speak. I don’t relate to all the asmr sounds and taping and stuff
Like that, but I appreciate that asmr is a language, too, that partially overlaps all languages. My best wishes and gratitude to you.
Thanks so much for the lovely comment! Language connects us all :)
was very cool to see trondørsk words! I am personally interested in learning more about dialects from Nordnorge -- lofoten, vesterålen, ofoten, and trøms (that kind of general pocket of the country in northern nordland county and troms county) but I cant find much info in english and my norwegian isnt quite up to snuff yet to read about it in norwegian. I think my best bet is befriending a nordman from anywhere there, just luck o' the draw, and asking them to teach me their dialect! lol
I've been learning Norwegian for four months. I'm American, and I just love the language. I'm using duolingo.
That's awesome! Good for you :) Learning a language on your own is hard!
I am too!! Duolingo is very helpful!! ❤️
Mooore! 🤩🤩🤩
This is so good
Thank you so much! And thanks for subscribing too
Jeg er læren norske (bokmål)
Jeg elsker Norge og kulde.
(Sorry if that's bad I'm still learning.)
Don't worry man idk if you're still learning but it was good
Me:*pretty damn close to converting to old Norse religion*
Also me: * finds out conversations in Norway are better and you can go deeper in conversation *
Me one last time: *pretty much ready to immigrate*
Remember to bring a warm sweater! ❄️
@@norwAySMR perhaps I will bring two and forget my jacket, I look forward to visiting
Im norweigen but i do not know any words in norse that is why i watched this video very helpful thank you
It's not Norse :o
beautiful. My great-grandparents from Trondheim (my mormor's parents). My morfar from Bergen
Most of these old words are used within the faroese language today as well
Oh cool!
I loved this! Please make more!! My family lived in Trondheim for over 1000 years! I'm from Canada but Norway is my dream travel destination and I love learning about the language and culture!
Thank you! That's so cool. Canada is one country I haven't been to yet that I'd like to visit. It seems kind of similar to Norway :)
@@norwAySMR if you do definitely come to British Columbia! I live on Vancouver Island and it is such a fairytale wonderland!
Your accent almost sounds Icelandic :) Loved the video!
Icelandic is basically old Norwegian, so that makes sense ;) Thanks!
Hei! Fin video.
Tusen takk for at du abonnerer! Snakker du trøndersk også? :)
