- The 17th of May is Norway's national day, our constitution day, so what better way to celebrate this than to put on our bunad?! Celebrations have been very different this year, and since I did not wear my bunad on the special day, I decided to show it some love by wearing it in a video :) It's too pretty to be hidden in a closet for 2 years straight!

I didn't understand a single word, but surprisingly it sounds a lot like russian or any slavic language. The sounds and general rythm of speech are very similar. And the costume is amazing 😍

Yes, partly. The skirt used to be my grandmother's, but I had the top part made new. They are ridiculously expensive, especially including the silver jewelry! A great alternative would be a "festdrakt" which basically looks the same as a bunad for a fraction of the price ;) Thanks for watching!

Are there different outfits for certain times of the year?
No. It's mostly worn on our National Day (May 17th) but some will wear it for other special occasions like weddings etc
