im 14 too and it happens to me too but doesnt hurt extremely bad but still hurts
Same problem here...is there any solution...
I was in so much trouble from last 8 months.. I changed my mattress, I took pysiotherapy sessions, got my blood tests done, some doctors said it might be sign of arthiritis, I'm 30 and was so worried about it. But, you made this video and i realized its not a big thing, i can get over it! :) and I did.. Within two days, repeating these stretches 3 times a day holding each stretch 3 times for 30 sec each.. I was able to recover 😍 Thank you doctors. You both are awesome 🙌🏻
Did you do any other workouts within these two days or did you just rest?
Wow that worked fast. I'm 40. I'm having this problem since I'm 35..im going to get it checked out soon
Most doctors ain't ish.

My favourite CZcams duo. Always helpful no matter what video you watch.
I looked at this and started using the stretches only just yesterday, and I’m already have tremendous improvement in my left leg. The popping has so far stopped and the pain has started subsiding. I just as well feel better now when standing and I don’t feel the need to favor my right hip anymore! Thank you so much guys!
You guys rock haha great team chemistry. Thanks for the info!
This is pound for pound the best youtube channel for physical therapy.
You guys are awesome! Thank you for these videos! They've helped me numerous times over the past few years! Thank you!!
I have been doing allot of training and obstacle run events this summer. Recently my hip started popping however your video explained exactly whats going on. Great vid thanks!
Am I the only one who doesn’t experience any pain whatsoever. It actually feels relieving. I can pop my groins, outer hips, hamstrings, lower back, and even my ankles. It’s kind of like cracking your knuckles. I’ve been doing it for years but I’ve recently been doing it a lot more.
this model that you displayed about what happens in this syndrome is sooo good, we can easily understand and relate to whats happening under the skin
You guys are doing a tremendous job!!! Bravo!!! So far you guys have helped me with my shinsplints, and I am sure this will help with my snapping hip.
BIG thanks from the Netherlands.
Needless to say I smashed that subscribe button!
you guys are amazing. I'm a registered massage therapist and these videos keep my education strong! thank you!
You guys along with Jeff Cavaliere are a wealth of pt knowledge. Thanks for all your awesome videos.
would be an epic crossover.
Thank you so much for doing this video! I really needed to hear about it and how to fix my popping hip problem too! I appreciate you guys so much and your valuable information :)
I adore you both! I have snapping hip syndrome, and suuuuuuuuper tight muscles......so I am so grateful to have found you!
Thank you for this video. I'm a frequent gym-visitor and have developed this "Snapping Hip syndrome". Tried your stretches and things are starting to feel better!

Excellent advice. Thank you!
I did taekwondo when I was 20, and my left hip has been popping for the passed 3 years. I never knew what was the cause until now, and I was always worried that it would be a serious problem when I got older. Thank you for identifying snapping hip syndrome. I'll be doing these stretches from now on!
Mine started 1 week ago 😂💪
I have been having a snapping for the past year it starts to get very painful sometimes it happens a hundred times in a day even when I'm sitting down crazy. I don't want to get old and not be able to walk so this is very helpful video good luck to you
I've been trying for the past few weeks, and it's slowly helping. Good luck to both of you!
Did you have any results?
@@vitoraraujo7884 Actually, yes. The leg over leg stretch mentioned at 5:28 is the one that is helping me, so I looked up other stretches for the IT band. The snapping hasn't completely gone away, probably because I've had it now for years, and it'll take years to fix. I do find comfort in knowing what the problem is and that I've noticed a difference after a couple of months.
I finally understand whats happening to me!
Great info! Thank you so much.
BIG help. Thank you guys.
Why are there so many 14 year olds on here 😂 I was more worried about the next episode of The Batman on Kids WB when I was 14.
Times are changing! haha
We are dancers.That's why😂
Because people sit more than ever and have bad posture so everyone has problems haha
It’s healthy to start caring about this stuff at a young age. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Because of all the running requirements in the public schools. Most kids don't leave middle school without a jammed hip. I am a massage therapist for 22 years, and that is all I see... jammed bodies aka. jammed hips. . Jammed hips cause pain syndromes from head to feet. STOP THE RUNNING!!! 1 person in 20 has a body for it. The rest do not!!!!!! I like his response, "The times they are a changing, Ha Ha" He is laughing because it keeps him in business. Not funny. We have way too many young people suffering needlessly.!!
First stretch and immediate results! The snapping ratio went from 10:10 to 3:10 thanks!
I love your videos, very helpful in many areas, I especially like videos for the hips, being I have bursitis in both hips, I have done therapy, and also ex. at home. Still bothersome at times. You are great at what you do. Thank you. I do have a problem with your audio, have put it as loud as my computer will allow. Will keep watching.

When im lying down and lift my leg up it snaps but theres no pain and sometimes if I stretch my leg a certain way while sitting down it will snap. I'm 23.
I'm 25 with same problem, I guess surgery is the only solution

I am 11 but I'm a athlete so it might be what he said at the beginning
Same...its like you took the words right out of my mouth. And im also 23! For me it also doesnt hurt so its not a problem. But i was worried because it didnt happen before. Also, i get super "tired" near the hips like i always feel a need to stretch my legs and pop the pelvic bone when i am tired. Does that make sense? :s
Exactly i get by doing leg raises for abs, i was a lot worried as i couldn't describe what region is this called but gladly I found this video
Funnier than expected for a PT video. 😂
These videos are awesome! My back feels so much better since I started these exercises!!!
Appreciate you guys work, I have Osgood - Slaughters caused a descrepency in leg length this was very Helpful!

This is so helpful! I have had this my entire life. Never even realized it was something special. My husband’s first nickname for me was “cracky” because my hip “cracks” so loud. 😂
thanks for the vid guys
I had hip surgery 5 months ago because of a labral tear. I'm a dancer and it was hurting for about 2 years and doctors could not figure out what was wrong. It started catching and snapping inside my hip and would get caught just from sitting. It was extremely painful and I'm so glad it is fixed. I didn't have femoral acetabular impingement, but instead my iliopsoas was really tight and was acting as a "saw" on my labrum. It still gets tight now and then but it is so much less painful than before. I've been watching you guys for a long time and your videos helped relieve some of my pain before I had surgery. Your videos are great and have helped me with other more minor injuries as well. Thanks for the great videos, you guys rock!

Thank you so much for making this video! I’ve been suffering from snapping hip since February. Nothing has helped until I found this video a couple of weeks ago, and started doing the stretches. I’m still not 100% yet, but my condition has vastly improved.
Thank you so much.

I “sprained” both of my hips according to my sports medicine doctor and I have snapping hip syndrome
Did I mention I’m 14
Skyla L. How are you doin now I’m 17 and got lots of physical problems.
TheMajestic he was kidding
I’m 14 right now and I also have the same problem!
Thank you! Very helpful
Yes this is my problem for my whole life. I have dancer's hip. I have been practicing yoga for years, but I was growing. My hips are still changing. I'm 26. Pigeon pose in yoga, lunges, and frog pose are really healing my hips. I hold a lot of tension and trauma in my hips. I also do trauma release for emotional and psychological trauma. It all heals tension in the hips. I read that the hips change throughout life! Ugh. So that means I have to do deep stretch on my hips daily, pigeon, frog, middle splits, front splits, lungs, straddle etc..
how r u now?
I’m 14 as well 😭😭gonna be 15 in 1 1/2 but yeah I’ve always had this since I can remember
im ngl it's quite comforting to hear that theres so many other teens who deal with this- im 17 and my left hip snaps whenever i do leg raises in ab exercises. i thought it was just an old person thing and was rlly worried lmao
I was thinking my problem was snapping hip syndrome and after watching this video I know for sure, this is exactly what it feels like. Thank you.

Excellent guys, as usual. I have one that snaps a bit and it's on the slightly longer leg. Doesn't give any more problems than the noise though.

I'm in PT for hip impingnent. My hip snap/crackle/pop all day, everyday since groin/hip/back pain started. Thanks 4 the videos.
Tashara Reid hey tashara how's your hip doing
Tashara Reid so hows the hips doing bruh
It happens to me a lot too and my mom. : /
Very good explanation!
I am literally LMAO.... watching these two guys...good work. I'm having bad hips for about 5 months.
I pop everywhere. Every time I get out of my seat, my hip pops. I move my neck from side to side and it pops every time. I do mountain climbers, and both sides of my hip pops. When I stretch my elbows and shoulders pop. When I lift weights my neck pops. I'm 18 and it's really terrible to deal with.
Happens to me in class, when I do squats, even sometimes when I move side to side; I’m also 18
Chloe Hues I’m 15 and it started when I was 13
my hips and shoulders pop too, usually its due to a muscle imbalance that usually pulls the bones out of its natural place. so movement in the joints causes those popping sounds
it started for me when I was 18 also, I was a senior in High School...
Same man. I have all the same issues. I’m not sure if it’s something to worry about.
My cat jumped off her cat tree just before Bob said "what was that noise" I was so creeped out LOL!! Get out of my house you guys 😁

I have a labral tear. Thanks

christopher boettcher hey chris did a mra diagnose your tear? Do you also have hip impingement? Is your pain mostly in your groin or do you have any leg pain knee pain? Thanks buddy I have a tear also
Dave18 Aved18 I have groin pain that goes into my right testicle. I’m unaware of impingement, but was diagnosed by MRI. I will be going for surgery within the next couple of weeks. Also, my entire hip down to my knee hurts. You?
When I'm laying down & I lift my legs or thighs in an outward motion, they both pop & click on both sides as if they're totally messed up. Never understood why.

I hear a grinding sound when I externally rotate my hip with my femur are a 90^ angle. So if I'm standing and I raise my right knee to hip height and externally rotate it I hear a slight grinding sound. What do you suggest?

I used to play Soccer a lot, and starting getting those "pops" alongsides with an progressive form of pain forming on my groin whenever i played, the more i did it, the stronger the pain was, eventually i just stopped playing and today, after two years the same syptoms happen to me, if i start playing the pain comes back, and the pops haven't gone away, i've been stretching and doing strength excercises for some weeks but there doesnt seem to be any sort of improvement, at least now i'm sure it's not anything muscle related
I feel the same pain and also I play soccer. Can you tell me what's wrong if you have an idea.
dude same i love soccer so much and i want to go pro and i recently joined a really good club in my area but my hips, lower and middle back, plus my ribs, and knees always pop and even my sternum. then sometimes my legs and arms go numb but I’ve finally decided to go to a doctor next week. hopefully I get better and can continue to play
I have similar problem, did you guys find a solution?
@@goxzalo2692 they will string you out over tons of visits
Your situation might be different than mine, but I've found that for me wearing underwear or tight fitting pants put alot of pressure on the hips. Try not wearing underwear and wear more sweatpants and shorts. Ive been battling with this for the past year and In 2 months not wearing any jeans, underwear or any tight fitting clothing I have noticed a HUGE relief. Hope this helps.
These guys are hilarious 😂 so informative, gonna incorporate this into my routine! my hip cracks though bc of injury, I slipped and fell on it couple years back 😭
You guys are so helpful! My hip started popping 5 days ago with pain. I did some deadlifts a week ago (my harmstrings were sore) and the day after stand up paddling (without warmig up, big mistake) and since that my hip on the right side pops. I took 2 days one iboprofen pill and did these stretches and I got better from the pain but popping is still there but more frequent in the morning, throughout the day gets less and less (sometimes it seems that my knee snaps too when I change directions to the side). I did the foam roll and today I'm a bit sore on my glutes, is it normal?
Should I see a doctor or should I keep doing these stretches and wait a little bit more?
I still think the deadlifts strength training are probably one of the causes because all started there.
How long the symptons could last? And should I start including in my routine exercices to strengthen the lower back, thighs, glutes?
Hi, I have an same issue. Can you please tell how you get rid of it?
@@SukhvirSingh-te4pk I went to the orthopedic doctor and did an MRI and I was diagnosed with a Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). I did physiotherapy and I need to be careful with some workouts and I must do some specific core exercises for the rest of my life. Yoga is totally forbidden :)
@@arwanitahii! I have FAI also and I’m in physical therapy . it’s destroying my life lol do you have any exercises that have provided relief?
@@christine40 you need to strengthen your whole core and stretch. You should work with a therapist that knows about FAI. Be careful with your hips and rest a lot. You’ll find the exercises that are best for you. My pain didn’t go away 100% but I stay active and don’t sit down for a long time.
Exercises like bridges, planks, squats with the physio ball, workout your hamstrings! But work with a physiotherapist so that you don’t create imbalances that will bring pain. Stay positive and listen to your body
How long would you say it would take to properly stretch out an IT band? I have hip snapping syndrome and have tried strengthening my glutes and stretching my hip flexors without luck. I'm hoping the IT band is the culprit like you mentioned.
