Thank you so much for this great video. I have had exactly the same problem and have been following your advice, and I am shocked to see what's going on with my hair. I have been using these same supplements for the last 4.5 months and I have 3" of brand new hair growth all over my head. I first noticed breakage from using a ponytail at night in the back of my hair just like you said you did. I stopped that and ordered a silk pillow case in addition to using the supplements. Now it's weird. I have SO much new growth, that my collar length hair is much longer than the new growth. But the new growth is going to make my hair much thicker when it all catches up to the longer hair. I will just keep trimming until the new hair blends in and is the same length. When I put my fingers through my hair, I can really feel the thickness. It's quite amazing, really. Thank you again, so much. This does all work. I am vigilant with it and do it daily. I am 64 years old. Honestly, I'm amazed. You are right. You say that you know it's working. I do too and I have proof! I can't thank you enough for pointing out this and I wanted you to know it absolutely works wonders.
That is so amazing Kelley Ireland! Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us and Im so happy you have new hair growing. Im happy you have seen such great results ❤️
I'm back and am now using your method for just over a year and the new hair growth I commented on 9 months ago has now grown out to about 8". Because my hair was already longish, all of the new, thicker growth was looking scraggly so I had my hair layered, something I'd never have done before because it was too thin to layer. Im so pleased that I followed your advice and now enjoy a fuller, thicker, longer head of hair than I've had in years! I'm 65. I've recommended your videos and this treatment to many others! Thank you for all of your health, fitness and beauty videos, tips and tricks. Like you, I believe we can be vital, vibrant and beautiful at any age.
omg finally a woman telling us how to take care of our selves during aging, not a little girl lol Thanks, you have a new subby. I have celiac and B vitamins besides iron we lose early.
@@mrs.h4484 silk is the fibre used - satin is the way it's woven. So you can have polyester in a satin weave- it feels great but it doesn't breath (terrible for bed linen). You can also get silk in a regular weave which isn't necessarily soft and smooth. I've made business suits in silk. The important thing is the satin weave and it must go in the correct direction - side to side- or it will be even worse. Egyptian cotton in a satin weave is amazing and much cheaper and easier to launder than silk. Hope that helps.
To add to what she said, first the collagen comes in several different types. The type of collagen you want for hair, skin, & nails is Type 1 & 3. Type 2 is for joints. Its best not to take the different types together. As for the Biotin (Vit. B7), if you take a supplement, its best to take it in liquid form because it will be 100% absorbed in your digestive system, whereas, in solid (cap/tab/gel) form only partial absorption occurs. Also note, while these have shown to be effective, your general health also plays a vital role in hair growth. Hope this helps.
I’m a hair stylist and yes your hair won’t grow if you get it cut every 6 weeks. Hair grows 1/2” a month-if you get it cut every 6 weeks, you are mostly cutting all you’ve grown! I tell my long haired clients that want to grow their hair longer-to get 1/2” off once every 3 months! This is only if your hair is good to start with! If you start with 3” of raggedy split ends, you have to get those cut off before your hair will grow!! Damaged ends will just keep breaking off and never look any longer!! Thanks for the video-I’ve never tried collagen!
This is also something to think about. I never go to the hair stylist because they only cut my hair shorter...but my ends keep splitting and it never grow longer. :(
My hair literally grows 2 to three inches every month. So I guess everyone is different. But mine is too thick and grows too fast. I am 47. But I have always had thick, fast growing hair. I am not bragging as it can also be a pain. ;)
@@jillholly4175 I am sorry, I just don't like that it is so thick, and grows out and wavy and wild, and yeah too fast whenever I sometimes wanna just keep it right @ my shoulders, I have to cut it every few weeks if I want to. Happy Easter! P.S. But my hair is just touching my shoulders now.. that is cause i got mad @ it 2 months ago and cut it almost to my chin.. lmbo..
I'm 63 and like you, I look young for my age. I do black and peppermint tea rinses. But best for dark hair! I also believe in spinach, flax, brewers yeast, and pumpkin seeds, which I eat every day. Chia, too.
You don’t look 50 , you look 40; you are so beautiful and seeing genuine, your content is amazing, thank you 😊 for cheering this info , I’m going to buy everything..... 🦋💋
I had to cut my hair because I was loosing a lot of it, and it became very thin, it looks better in a one length shorter bob, but has soon as it thickens again I will let it grow again, sometimes we need to adjust to the circumstances of our lives, but I don't let people dictate my choices, people can be jealous and judgemental, I always make decisions based on what I think suits me best and will continue to do so, don't let others decide for you, each one of us know deep down what is the best for ourselves! Thank you for all the great ideas! And by the way I am almost 70 years old!
Hi Friends, just a reminder that there are two great videos in the description box, giving more details on the magic of Niacin - vitamin B3...It really is that good!
Hi Carolann! Thank you so much for watching and Im happy you enjoyed the video...Platinum hair is so harsh on the hair but it looks great...whats a girl gonna do???have a beautiful weekend xx
Hi Carolann! Thank you so much for watching and Im happy you enjoyed the video...Platinum hair is so harsh on the hair but it looks great...whats a girl gonna do???have a beautiful weekend xx
HI Carolann! I would suggest changing it up...you are a different person now compared to when you were 16! all that wisdom and life experience! ...Ask yourself...what would represent the best version of me? Why not visit a good hairdresser, who specialises in colour and ask for her opinion...you don't have to make any changes immediately, just let some new ideas simmer and when your ready...you'll know xx
In short : 1) Sulphate free shampoo 2) Biotin B7 ( some people have Biotin reactions) not mentioned on this video. 3) make sure your B complex is sufficient in your body lack of it affects nail hair and skin. 4) increase collagen try it everyday 5) vitamin B3 Niacin Consult with your doctor always before taking anything. Vitamin B3 helps with depression and anxiety 7) Silk pillow case 8) Trim hair every 12 weeks 🙏thank you
Right on with the long hair! It's beautiful. I am 51 and my hair dresser gave me a unwanted pixie and I hated it and never told him to do that. I am currently growing my hair out. I love your long hair. It's been 12 weeks since I had my pixie. It feels good to see it come down and feel like a woman again.
I use Biotin 10,000. It really works. My hair grew to the longest it's ever been, down past my waist. I'm 70 now and did cut some off. It was so long, it was getting in my way...
You seem so positive, beautiful, down to earth human being. Just watching you talk is enough 🤗 keep up the good work and you'll get loooooads of subscribers and I love your accent 😁🤗🤗
I just have to say that you have such a beautiful spirit! And frankly, I'm rather selective about who I get my health and beauty tips from.I definitely need to get a good vibe from whoever is offering advice and you definitely give off a great vibe. As you know,we ladies over 50 aren't given a whole lot of consideration in these areas of concern so a kind and informed coach is really appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Joanne and a warm welcome to fabulous50s! I'm happy you are here...Thank you for your kind comments and... Women over 50 are the only thing I consider here on the channel 🙌Thanks so much for watching and have an amazing week 💕
My Mom is 58 and her thick long curly hair is upto her bum. She uses some dried plant roots and seeds from local Ayurvedic shop which gives beetroot red colour to oil. She tried to inspire me to use that oil. But I never did. Now I'm 32 and I ended up very thin frizzy hair. Now I started working on to restore it.
Hi Shelley! I just found your channel, recently. I’ll be 50 in a year (49 this month!). I love your positive, supportive attitude along with all of the helpful information you share. You are beautiful inside and out! I hope I look half as great as you do in my 50’s! I’m excited to start incorporating your many helpful tips! Thank you! 🙏💕
Be aware biotin will interfere with thyroid labs. Doc will suggest we stop a week prior to labs. Check with doc if you have regular thyroid maintenance. Thank you beautiful woman for recommending this video. You're absolutely gorgeous and fabulous. ❤️
Here I go! I ordered the life flo hydrolyzed bovine collagen, the nature's way niacin with flush, and Now biotin. Beginning today. Very excited. Thank you.
I've never left a comment on CZcams but this one I must. Just love your channel and tips. They are inspiring for me. I don't have to join the negative hopeless aging crowd. You got a subscriber!
Hello I discovered your videos today and I like it so much...Thank you for all your great advices! I am 47 years old now and looking forward to feeling and looking my best at 50. Thank you.
What about getting those vitamins from your diet. Eggs, spinach, nuts, fish, fruit and veg. I've found changing my diet has worked wonders for my skin and hair. My hair is thicker, shines more and the best condition it's ever been. For the last thirty years I've spent a fortune on hair products. And it was simply down to my diet. 😄
Hi Beverleyl! Thanks so much for watching... I agree with you 100%...what ever we put into our bodies shows up on the outside. So happy your hair is the best it has ever been! 😄
Eating real food is best for nutrition (as opposed to processed foods, fast food, etc.) because food is very complex. I'm sure that we've only touched the surface of what we get from food in terms of vitamins and minerals; just taking pills is terribly inadequate. That said, the older we get, the more our metabolism slows down and the less we can eat, so supplements can help make up for the food we can no longer eat in such quantities.
I agree diet is so important tomatoes cheese I'm 80 but people think I'm younger I have no deep wrinkles I don't smoke ever it's what we're talking into our bodies that's important
Just be cautious with niacin because it can cause negative side effects on your liver. Just make sure your doctor is aware of all the vitamins you are taking. Even though it’s herbal or more natural, it can still affect certain organs which would be revealed in annual blood work. Also, what helps with mood/depression and blood flow is a combination of weight lifting and HIIT (high intensity interval training). Both activities boost HGH (human growth hormone) levels by 500-1000 percent. HGH decreases tremendously as we age and this is the most natural way to increase it. Higher HGH levels give you more energy, higher collagen production, less fat, an ability to retain muscle more and many more health benefits. Stay away from smoking or heavy drinking because both cause extreme aging as well. Also, it’s best not to consume collagen. Why harm an animal for your own benefit?
I agree, unless a physician is making recommendations on specific vitamins to add into your diet, I would not simply go out and follow this information. If your body is not in a deficiency for a specific vitamin, you will simply urinate all these supplements out!
@@fabulous50s only niacinamide (which doesn't cause the niacin flush) can harm the liver. Niacin won't nor will inositol hexanicotinate (a inositol with 6 niacins attached). I take 500mg- 1000mg. (you have to work up slowly, when you stop flushing at a lower dose, keep increasing to about 1000mg until no more flush, then back down to about 500mg a day giving the body a break occasionally. Your info was spot on. I am an ND - licensed naturopathic dr in the USA. I would recommend a good multi mineral with trace minerals as well. Throw in some omega 3s for more lustrous hair skin and nails. Love your channel.
🌸Here is a detailed explanation of how the *Hydrolysed collagen* works...From longevity scientist Dr Rhonda Patrick...czcams.com/video/JLQ63y5aTpo/video.html
Im new to tour channel. And every video i have watched have been so beneficial to me. Im 48 years old and a grand mother. You are a beautiful lady with advice for mature woman that actually makes sense. Thank you ❤❤
I'm watching your channel for the first time and I'm hooked!! I'm 47 so I'm not far from the club lol. You look amazing sister!!! I'm just thrilled I found you and your videos are are great!! Thank you so much!!!
Love all your videos so much I’m 53 next week my hair is shoulder length. I used a picture of your hair when I went to the hairdressers yesterday. Your great 👍
My long hair issue wasn't even an "age" thing at the time. I was in my early thirties with long thick blonde hair and a couple of my colleagues kept telling me that I should cut my hair due to the profession we were in ...I guess in their eyes they thought I needed to have a more professional look..but I refused and stayed true to myself and kept saying under my breath that God blessed me with this beautiful hair..why would I cut it off? Get rid of it? I was happy with my long hair and still have long hair and in my fifties. BTW- as far as it hindering my "professional" look- that was never an issue I became one of the best in my career. So long story short just do you...be true to yourself. Loved this video!
Constance Lindsey I love your comment and Im happy you stayed true to who you are...I understand the pressure...so Many think long hair belongs to the younger women...but Im with you, why would you cut all your hair off to suit another persons set of rules? Congratulations in raising to the top of your career...Despite your long hair 😘
I had some hens do that to me at work, nursing, and I was screamed at by these two nurses. They'd wait until I showed in report and then talk about how men find women with long hair unattractive. They were nasty. It wasn't until I was in my mid-thirties that I realized they were just jealous. I also get back-handed comments from family members about me taking care of myself and teaching my children the same, particularly my daughter. I live in my body, why would I NOT take care of where I live and teach my children the same? WIth young girls, it's even more important since it is tied to femininity.
I take collagen powder with coffee every day. I have lost hair in my 40's. One year I've been taking collagen powder and my skin started looking better, which is dry and I itched. My hair and skin looks better. My hair is thicker
You popped up as a recommendation for what I (obviously) watch on CZcams. You are adorable, and I thank you so much for this info. I feel like I'm 27, and want to look as great as I can no matter my number (yep, 52! Just seems crazy!!) I have never tried collagen before, and I do remember Niacin freaking me out in the past. I never knew it was that great for me. Anxious to add these natural tips to my routine. Have you ever considered doing a video of how you style your hair? It's beautiful!!
Hi Lori and a big welcome to fabulous50s! Thanks so much for watching and leaving your comment... I remember freaking out the first time I had a B3 flush too, when I was 25 and didn't know what was going to happen! scary! I am just editing a video on my hair now, hopefully it will be ready for tomorrow...Have a beautiful day 💕
Ladies, a tip from island girls...coconut oil. Your hair will look really bad though smell good when you put it on the first day and you'll go ugh, why did she tell me that, it's stringy and clumpy. Wait till tomorrow when the oil is absorbed..your hair will be thick and gorgeous.
Thank you so much for this info, my hair has always been my pride and joy, and I hate how much I lose, going to look into buying these products to try.
Hi Arthuria xx Thanks for watching! Vitamins are a girls best friend at our age... and Im so ready to hit my silk pillow case very soon. Have a great week xx
Be careful with niacin as it does affect the heart. I was taking it and started to have heart palpitations that were alarming. My husband is a cardiothoracic surgeon who told me to stop taking it!
Julie Powers , enzymes and electrolytes also factor into heart palpitations. I don’t know if there is a test. My heart started racing when my enzymes were off. You may also notice kinky hair with enzyme deficiencies.
I also noticed exhaustion with electrolytes deficiencies. I believe my coffee flushed these important nutrients away and I had not restored them properly, obviously. It was very frustrating to not have the right answers for years. To be dysfunctional is frustrating and demoralizing. Good luck to you on surviving well!!!
At 66 my hair isn't as long as when I was young when it was always long, as it doesn't suit my face now. But I want to tell you this that I came upon a while ago. Hair is an extension of the nervous system (think the film Avatar). Native American trackers believe that it is their long hair that gives them their ability. When they signed up with the army (Vietnam era) to do the same job, guess what, they had to have their hair shorn off. and couldn't do it any longer. Then they regrew their hair and the ability returned. Throughout the world warriors had/have long hair and I feel that it is vital for them (Samson?).
I too stopped getting my hair trimmed so often and it is well below my shoulders now. My hair dressers had me believing that I should come in for a trim every 8 weeks and she was cutting off all my growth!
susan - same!! In fact, I have been taking collagen for nearly a year now, along with homemade bone broth (a RICH source of natural collagen!!!)...finally bought a Dyson hair dryer, and after ~3 months of using it (which is my minimum duration now of waiting between trims), my hairdresser commented on how healthy my ends were, the very next visit!! With the Dyson, you can dry quickly on low, or NO heat - it’s a bit expensive, but SO worth it...bought on QVC to stretch payments out over 6 months. Had used 10G Biotin in the past, many years ago, and didn’t think it was doing much (had other health issues that may have affected its absorption); may combine that with Niacin and give it another go...also, fasting has SO many anti-inflammatory benefits. And as Kathy states, avocados are WONDERFUL!! Let’s live our best, healthiest, most beautiful lives, ladies - on OUR terms! ❤️😘
I love the way you spell your name. It's really pretty. People who don't know how to get sulfate free shampoo or don't want to use it can "cowash" which means washing the hair with conditioner. Yes, it gets it _very_ clean. I didn't believe it would so I waited about five years to try it. Come to find out, once I did it I found out I have beautiful curls. Conditioners like Suave essentials coconut conditioner work perfectly for this.
I read something about the silk pillowcase somewhere else too and it's supposed to be good for your skin (wrinkling) as well. I bought one and used it for 6 months and my hair actually got worse (thinner, falling out in clumps - I'm 52 and never had this problem ever!!!). I switched back to my normal egyptian cotton pillowcase and the very next week my hair looked and felt better already. It may work for some, but it didn't for me.
Your hair is so beautiful. I love thick hair no matter what's the length. I'm in my 50's too. Just discovered your channel. I just subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
Loved all videos just started to watch and love them all so far I'm 57 and love to work out and have had 11 children so now in the last 5 years have been having more time to myself so I love you and will continue to watch thank you
Hi Teresa and a warm welcome to fabulous50s! I'm happy you are here...OMG 11 kids! Your a star...You must cherish every moment you get to yourself? Thank you so much for watching and have a beautiful week 💕
Is she 50 or something??? Sure?? Really??? She is gorgeous so beautiful and graceful 😊😊😊 you are an inspiration👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you so much for sharing this 🥰🥰🥰
One thing about hair cutting, I have cut my own for years. My hair is a little more than shoulder length. I used utube to learn to cut it even better. Sam Villa is a wonderful person to watch. It is really easy to do with your length.
I do eat one every day in my very big bowl of salad. I just wish it would keep my hair from turning grey and getting thin. I also use quite a bit of Brewers yeast everyday too. I am doing the collagen now.
I'm 51, and a year ago, I started washing my hair with chickpea flour. My hair has never looked better! I use acv/lemon diluted with water, or fresh herbs from my garden diluted in water as a rinse, then put some argon oil on the tips when my hair is still damp. I have thick long healthy hair! I also do a mask once a week using fenegreek and flax seeds. It's interesting that all this time, my hair products have been in my kitchen pantry or in the garden! Lol 😁🌾🌿🌱
WOW! That was really helpful! I am going to try the silk pillowcase. I put my hair in a ponytail at night and I have very fine hair and I didn't understand why the back of my hair was so thin. I just resigned it to the fineness of my hair. What a relief to know that there might be something I can do. I am really enjoying your videos. Thank you!
Great recommendations! Also try drinking aloe vera juice and/or applying the gel to your hair, it makes your hair thicker, stronger, and shinier. Castor oil is also really great, but for your kind of hair you would just need a small dallop mixed with a lighter oil like maybe almond oil so that it doesn't weigh your hair down while still giving it SERIOUS strength and an amazingly youthful and healthy shine.
Thank you I am 67 years old and I always had beautiful hair until 2 months ago. The last 2 months I lost 1/3 of my hair and the rest if them are so thin and braking. They look dead. I went to doctors, herbalists, naturopathic doctors and I have being given all kinds of things but nothing helps. I had all kinds of blood tests and everything seems to be ok. If any of you has some wisdom to share I will appreciate it. Even today I saw so much hair when I brushed my hair that made me cry.
I LIKE WEN HAIR CLEANSING CREAM. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN MY HAIR AND ITS THICKNESS, MANAGABILITY, FULLNESS, IT BEHAVES, AND IT MAKES ME LOOK YOUNGER BECAUSE IT IS HEALTHY BOUNCY AND SHINY. I LOVE IT.
Hi lovely. I am 71 and have an under active thyroid. My hair and nails are suffering. Thank you for all these tips. Will definitely try all of them. Your hair looks amazing. .And so do you. Bless you.
I have used it for 45 years! It is great stuff. I did a nutritional analysis in my nutrition class in Nursing school way back in 1985. It has some minerals that are really good for you and almost impossible to get anywhere else. I just recently started the hydrolyzed collagen in my powered green drink. Now I realize that I need to up it to twice a day. My hair i thinning and I think the collagen might help.
I turn 50 this week and I have lost half of my hair in the past couple of years and it continues to shed. I’ve been in menopause for five years and I think it is the blame for the rough texture of my hair. My hair used to be silky smooth and now I can’t stand to touch it. I get scared to wash my hair for fear of seeing the hair come off my head in the shower and then at the sink to comb out. My hair grows but it sheds SO much! I’ve been taking viviscal, but see no difference in the less shedding. I will change to biotin instead and amp up the supplements. Thank you the information.
I just came across your channel! I not quite 50 but I want to look and feel as great as you seem to be! 😁 I lost clumps of hair due to health issues and I could definitely see a difference when my body started functioning better and absorbing nutrients! I have been using biotin and have noticed a big difference! Just started collagen & my nails have been looking fabulous! 😉
This video is helpful. I was serious about hair growth and maintaining the youthful length, thickness and shine when I was 21. My favorite sulfate free shampoo & conditioner is Giovanni eco chic Tea Tree Triple Treat. I rest my head on silk pillowcases and the rest of my body with satin sheets. I'm not over 50 and I needed to find out what to do when I get to that point in life. I also make a hair growth spray that's made with distilled water, witch hazel and lavender, cedarwood and rosemary essential oils. Now thanks to this video, I'll start trimming my hair less.
Hi Alice Kingsley, how are you finding the hair growth spray? Do you use it to smooth your hair or it's just basically to make your hair grow. Lastly what are the specific measurements of how much you put in the spray container. Thank you so much for your feedback. :-)
@@DTaRelle I'm loving the spray. I pour distilled water into a 2 oz bottle all the way to the top of the label. Then fill the rest of the bottle with Witch Hazel (preferably Lavender or Rose Scented). And finally add a couple drops of Lavender, Cedarwood and Rosemary essential oils. I spray until my entire scalp has been coated. Then I comb my hair after that. I mostly apply it in the morning.
Thank you. I’m 70 and watch at least one of your videos with my morning coffee. Your video on fashion colors helped me identify and remove clothing and Assessories from my closet that were not working for me. I’ve been blonde with dark blue-green eyes all my life, but my hair is turning white. So, I could use some advice about best hair colors and styles for women “over 50”.
Thank you Schellea...I've been taking biotin forever...but didn't know about collagen...gonna have to try that...something I avoid when washing my hair is towels! I use a T-shirt to wrap my hair in when washed...really helps with fuzzing in the hair when I dry it.. and I don't rub my hair when drying...just pressing and letting the t-shirt soaks it up. Thank you so much for all the great advise. Have a super week... :)
Great tips! Bone broth is another great addition for hair, skin and nails as well as MANY other benefits! You can make your own or purchase powder to throw in a smoothie..
Oh yes bone broth I could never understand why gran cooked slowly bone broth it was survival in hard times but they were strong women lovely strong hair they new how too cook
I'm 52,can't use any supplements,I did but my hair and nails became brittle.I had a vir D deficiency, using direct sun light production,my hair started growing faster and I'm generally in good health.I'm using silk pillow case since I was in my early 20's.Definitely works,no wrinkles at all.
Great tips! I started collagen a few days ago and look forward to seeing if I get results, am adding the niacin now. I tried a hair and nails supplement and wasn't thrilled with results. Hoping this is a solution! Thanks ☺️
In addition to what she said, try these too. As soon as you wake up always wash those sleep lines off your face. I have been doing it for 20 years, I am 52 this month and I don't have hardly any wrinkles! I also don't put any cover up on my face, I only use mascara. I also use Blackseed oil on my face as lotion, it's the best!!!!! If you can't eat it don't put it on your skin. I also have been plant based for 9 years this too helps. I also practice Urine Therapy, off and on, and the one thing that really is remarkable is aging my urine and putting it on face. Yeah, call me names if you like, but I don't look even 35 so piss off. Lol... Also Diatomaceous Earth also works wonders on your hair, skin and more. I also try to sleep "most of the time" on my back. Oh and find a good vitamin C, most are made in China and are not as healthy as you would think. Also my main drink is water, for my whole life!! I don't touch soda's. Oh and less to no sugar is always a keeper! Thanks and peace out!
Hi ♥️ I have only just found your videos and I absolutely love them ! I’ve been binge watching them for days now hahaha . There is so much new beauty info for me and I’m eating it up ! Wish I had found you before because I’m 62 now and need all the beauty wisdom I can find . Thank you so much . Your channel gives me hope and fresh encouragement .
Hi Ursula and a big welcome to fabulous50s! Thank you so much for watching and leaving this lovely comment 💕I believe that the older you get the better you get...so if your 62..you...can...do...what...ever...you...want!!! and you will just continue to improve 💕
Have you notice that the cut makes a difference in the way your hair behaves. Some cuts make my hair fall while others don’t. Also depends on how they cut them. Do you cut your own hair?
Thx for another awesome video! I just turned 58 and having lotsa trouble with hairloss. I choose not to do hormone replacement ( bio identical hormones) so I will try some of these things you suggested! Thx again!
I have Melasma and hyperpigmentation. For those reasons I would not try the Niacin as heat - especially internally aggravates it; I am ordering the shampoo. Your hair is beautiful!
Everything you talked about I so needed to hear. I am well over 50 like ++ but that ok it is never to late to learn something knew. I am knew to you channel love the video's and your encouraging words. Your motivational talks, your kindness and your willingness to help others is a beautiful thing. Look forward to seeing more!

What kind of vitamins are you using? I'm having a very hard time getting back into the berry flavored powdered vitamins i used to drink ...
I'm back and am now using your method for just over a year and the new hair growth I commented on 9 months ago has now grown out to about 8". I have celiac too and found that the B complex worked for my hair too
I am so glad that you provide an after 50s CZcams channel, when I saw your videos I immediately subscribed
So happy you are here xx
Me, too....watching from the U.K. 👍🏻
So....Biotin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Vitamin B3 (Niacin) Sulfate free shampoo, and a silk pillowcase. You look great. Thanks :)
Thanks for watching SpockBoy 😁
If you can't afford silk go with satin?
@@mrs.h4484 yes.
yeah, but her explanation is key to why it works. thanks shellea x
Thanks for sharing that Diane 👍 and thanks for watching...Have a great week ❤️
This is also something to think about. I never go to the hair stylist because they only cut my hair shorter...but my ends keep splitting and it never grow longer. :(
My hair literally grows 2 to three inches every month. So I guess everyone is different. But mine is too thick and grows too fast. I am 47. But I have always had thick, fast growing hair. I am not bragging as it can also be a pain. ;)
@@jennifersimmons964 Brag!! 👍 I wish my hair would grow 2 to 3 inches a month!!. 🙂
Chia, too.
Oh peppermint tea works as a hair growth rinse?? I used regular caffeinated tea and it gave me a dry flakey patch on my forehead.
You don’t look 50 , you look 40; you are so beautiful and seeing genuine, your content is amazing, thank you 😊 for cheering this info , I’m going to buy everything..... 🦋💋
Hi Rudayne! Thank you so much for watching...I'm so happy you are here...Have a beautiful week ❤️
Elisabeth Steel: You look amazing for 70:)
Thank you so much!
@@elisabethsteel3382 WOW! I would guess 40's!!! Unbelievable!!!!
I agree on the hair cutting also. Your hair grows from the scalp not the roots. So, when I'm told I need a cut every 6 weeks, I chuckle. Great video!
Hi Friends, just a reminder that there are two great videos in the description box, giving more details on the magic of Niacin - vitamin B3...It really is that good!
fabulous50s thanks great tip my hair is platinum blonde but very thin now .
The roots now are showing thought I slightly tone it down but oh God I hate it been blonde since I was 16 any advice plz .

In short : 1) Sulphate free shampoo
2) Biotin B7 ( some people have Biotin reactions) not mentioned on this video.
3) make sure your B complex is sufficient in your body lack of it affects nail hair and skin.
4) increase collagen try it everyday
5) vitamin B3 Niacin
Consult with your doctor always before taking anything.
Vitamin B3 helps with depression and anxiety
7) Silk pillow case
8) Trim hair every 12 weeks
🙏thank you
Right on with the long hair! It's beautiful. I am 51 and my hair dresser gave me a unwanted pixie and I hated it and never told him to do that. I am currently growing my hair out. I love your long hair. It's been 12 weeks since I had my pixie. It feels good to see it come down and feel like a woman again.
Did your hair grow back? And how much?
I use Biotin 10,000. It really works. My hair grew to the longest it's ever been, down past my waist. I'm 70 now and did cut some off. It was so long, it was getting in my way...
Thanks for sharing your experience with us Barb Pixley! Have a great day 🌹
I know what you mean. Long hair is alot of work. I am 67!

Hi Aline Isabel and a big welcome to fabulous50s! Thanks so much for watching... Have a beautiful week 💕
Beverly Roberts what did you eat before? Asking so I know what to avoid
@@milels6917 what kind of cheese do you eat? Do you drink coffee? Anything else you would like to share? God bless:)
Thanks for your thoughts Desiree Ratzenberger

I agree, unless a physician is making recommendations on specific vitamins to add into your diet, I would not simply go out and follow this information. If your body is not in a deficiency for a specific vitamin, you will simply urinate all these supplements out!
Slow releasing Niacin, which is used to lessen flushing, is the type that can damage liver.

Thats awesome Sirley Ray! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍

4-Niacin-B3

FINALLY. Another woman in her early fifties I CAN LOOK UP TO.❤❤❤
At 66 my hair isn't as long as when I was young when it was always long, as it doesn't suit my face now.
Hi Susan! I know, same with me! Its much easier to grow now isn't it? Thanks for watching...Have a great week ❤️
susan - same!!
Thanks for sharing your tip with us Angela Edwards! Have a great day 🌸
I read something about the silk pillowcase somewhere else too and it's supposed to be good for your skin (wrinkling) as well.
BTW: I love your videos, especially the ones on how to dress. Do you have a video on how you style your hair? I love the way you style it.

Dedrie O'Brien dr berg recommends that for hair growth
I have used it for 45 years! It is great stuff. I did a nutritional analysis in my nutrition class in Nursing school way back in 1985. It has some minerals that are really good for you and almost impossible to get anywhere else. I just recently started the hydrolyzed collagen in my powered green drink. Now I realize that I need to up it to twice a day. My hair i thinning and I think the collagen might help.
A new subscriber here from the Philippines . Thank you for this video. I’m only 46 and my hair is very thin.

Thanks for sharing your tip with us Alice! The growth spray sounds delicious...Have a great day 🌸
Hi Alice Kingsley, how are you finding the hair growth spray?
I mostly apply it in the morning.
remember to include copper for skin and hair, especially if you are a natural redhead
Thank you. I’m 70 and watch at least one of your videos with my morning coffee. Your video on fashion colors helped me identify and remove clothing and Assessories from my closet that were not working for me. I’ve been blonde with dark blue-green eyes all my life, but my hair is turning white. So, I could use some advice about best hair colors and styles for women “over 50”.
look how bright blue your eyes are !
free meow, thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
Thank you Schellea...I've been taking biotin forever...but didn't know about collagen...gonna have to try that...something I avoid when washing my hair is towels! I use a T-shirt to wrap my hair in when washed...really helps with fuzzing in the hair when I dry it.. and I don't rub my hair when drying...just pressing and letting the t-shirt soaks it up. Thank you so much for all the great advise. Have a super week... :)
Thanks for sharing your tip with us Diana! Its a great one too...Have a great day 🌸
I use tee shirts to wrap my wet hair too. It's an old trick in the natural hair community that women use to minimize frizz.
You dont know how much you helped me today you are such a blessing.
Thank you for the info, I've been using what you've suggested for at least a month and have been getting compliments on my healthy, thick hair.
I loved reading your comment Linda Saunders-McLean! Thanks for letting me know ❤️

Hi Maria Gutierrez! Thanks so much for your lovely comment... Have an amazing week 💕
Great tips! Bone broth is another great addition for hair, skin and nails as well as MANY other benefits! You can make your own or purchase powder to throw in a smoothie..
Thanks for sharing your tip with us Craftlover 9! Have a great day 🌸
+Craftlover 9, what is bone broth?
Craftlover can you tell me how to make my own bone broth.. Currently I am buying the powder. It tasts decent, but it is soo costly
Here's a video on how to make some. I would use it as a soup base not to add to a smoothie however... czcams.com/video/VDmecmsKEuo/video.html

Great video! I hate my hair. it used to be thick and long but it's not any more I'm going to try these tips and see what happens
Try the Nurse Jamie Beauty Bear pillow!! LOVE IT!
Thanks for sharing your tip with us Jersey Girl! I will look it up...Have a great day 🌸
Great tips! I started collagen a few days ago and look forward to seeing if I get results, am adding the niacin now. I tried a hair and nails supplement and wasn't thrilled with results. Hoping this is a solution! Thanks ☺️
Hi Dashnj A.! Thanks so much for watching and have a beautiful weekend 💕
