Close range crossbow is a ,,stress-DoT" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Arbalest (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Houndmaster (dodge trinket + accuracy trinket) - guardian
3rd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
4th: Antiquarian (dodge trinket + Tears of the Lost) - DoT dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Arbalest + Houndmaster)
2) Great DoT outcome
3) Great stress outcome
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 guardians
6) Good against novice players
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) DoT is a menace
4) Low damage outcome
Close range crossbow is weird mark team, that combines stress and DoT. 3 characters can (self)heal, 2 of them can guard someone (if we count Antiquarian's "Protect me"), all characters can deal stress. And also you have a mark synergy between Arbalest, Highwayman and Houndmaster, but it's so bad, that you wouldn't use it, because of Arbalest on 1st position.
The team's main weakness is... in everything. Wrongly positioned Arbalest don't make a win-win situation. No great damage outcome, sometimes if your Arbalest gets to the back, you'll need her as supporteer, not a damager.
I tried to play a few strategies, like "full damage", "mark comp" or "gunslinger Highwayman", but I found only these tactics, as you can see in video.
My advice: Use Houndmaster as guardian, no matter, which team you'll face. Highwayman must be a "bandit" version - it have great potential than "gunslinger".
Another MEME team, another dissapointment, because someone thought, the frontline Arbalest would be a good idea. Well, it's not good idea. It's like playing a table game with knife and another person's pointing a gun at your head. If you don't like your life and have a great depression, this team is for you.
