The Mad Gamble is a ,,damage-disruption" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Hellion (Eyrie eye + damage trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Bounty Hunter (Grappling mits + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
3rd: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - damage dealer
4th: Occultist (damage trinket + dodge trinket) - healer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Occultist + Bounty hunter)
2) Great damage outcome
3) Good stress outcome
4) Disruption isn't a menace
5) 3 potential deathblowers
6) 2 potential disruptors
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Marks are a menace
4) Low healing potential
The Mad Gamble is weird damage-disruption team, that combines also stress and a little bit DoT. All characters can apply stress, can dealt a deathblow (if Occultist uses "Sacrifical stab" on afflicted character) and you have also 2 disruptors, but sadly only 2 (self)healers.
This team is weak against every team. Why? You can't counter the DoT attacks, you don't have any stress healing skills (only Jester's "Inspiring tune", but you need him as damager, not supporteer), you don't have any clearing skills, so marks are deadly.
I tried to play a few tactics, like "full stress", "full damage", "full mark team" and also "mix damage-stress". Probably the best strategy is "full damage".
My advice: Start with one of disruptors (Occultist OR Bounty hunter), then use Hellion for dealing damage and lastly Jester for (de)buffing team/dealing damage. I highly recommend here to take "damager Hellion", instead of "stress Hellion".
This team is awful. Not great healing potential, not great stress outcome. I struggle with this team longer than usual. It was like walking on burning coals and juggling with sharp knives. The comp's name is accurate, only masochists can play it.
