NAVIGATION LIGHTS

This is for a power boat that is less than 50m. So this is generally how many boats should be lit at night.
To start, you have a red light and a green light. To figure out which color goes where, I think of the saying “port wine is red”. You wine drinkers will appreciate that. So the post side of the boat is red. The starboard side, by default, is green. Each color reaches from the bow at 112.5* to each side.
Now we have a stern light that is white. This is 135*.
Lastly is a masthead light that should be at the top of the vessel facing forward with a range of 225*.
